If Stares Could Kill

Since the first time he saw Lu, he had the urge to be friends with him. Hayden turned around and faced Lu and said, "Hi my name is Hayden, what's yours?" Lu was to busy looking out the window again that he didn't hear or notice Hayden. Hayden was a little embarrassed but waited patiently for Lu to notice him. It took Lu a couple of seconds to notice him. He looked at Hayden and said, "why are you looking at me?"

Hayden was intimidated by his husky voice but what intimidated him more was Lu's facial expression, he was just too serious. "Sorry I didn't mean to disturb you I was just introducing myself but I noticed you didn't hear me so I just waited until you would notice me." "Oh sorry about that so what did you say earlier?" "Oh yeah sorry, hi my name is Hayden, what's yours?" Lu replied in short sentences to the maximum of ten words to everyone accept for anyone he knew for a longer amount of time but sometimes not even to them. "Lu." Hayden was a little worried that Lu wouldn't want to be friends with him but he knew it wouldn't be easy.

He was already planning on taking his time and waiting patiently for Lu to get used to him but he also didn't want to force him. Hayden was thinking, what if Lu doesn't want to be my friend because he doesn't like being with or talking to people? Or what if he doesn't want to be my friend because of my reputation? I can tell that he's different even though everyone praises me for thinking I'm a player and good with girls maybe Lu thinks the same thing about me but doesn't like it because he thinks I treat them bad without a purpose?

Either way, he was determined and was going to give it a try. Since Lu only answered him with a simple word he knew that must of been Lu's usual personality. He stopped talking to him since he didn't want to bother him and they were in the middle of class after all so he thought it was best to wait for a better time to talk to him. He thought if he kept pushing and insisting at the moment, Lu would get a bad impression of him and instantly distance himself more from him.  He saw Lu as a cat if you chased it, it would only run away. If he kept talking to him he would probably ruin the chances of getting anywhere with him, so he smiled at Lu and turned around to pay attention to the lesson.

{ Casey some minutes ago } Casey and Hayden had practically had the same thought. The thought of how to teach the other party a lesson. They didn't have an idea yet of how but they were eager to make it happen. Since Hayden is seen as a player she expected Hayden's first thing to do was to start flirting with her right away but she was astonished. Not only did he practically ignore her but he was way too interested and focused on Lu. She was shocked and a little disappointed, she started questioning the situation. Maybe he's gay and dates many girls to hide it?  Or maybe I'm not good enough or even slightly his type?

She stopped thinking and looked over at Hayden again and saw him extremely focused on Lu it was as if he was the only one there and that mattered to him. She almost started to giggle because once she looked at him she saw Lu ignore Hayden, even though you can tell he didn't do it intentionally she thought it was hilarious. Hahaha, Lu really just did that? And what kind of facial expression was that was Hayden really embarrassed? He doesn't even know Lu yet and he's already that interested in him? I've never seen anyone care so much about pleasing someone. She was trying so hard to hold in her laugh because if they noticed her laughing it would ruin her plans and he would instantly realize that she was eavesdropping.
