His fingers, firm but teasing, gripped her waist, pulling her against his body. “Do you know what happens to those who defy me, little pet?” His voice was low, dripping with dark amusement. He leaned down, his lips hovering just above hers, close enough for her to feel his breath but not close enough to touch. “They beg.”Elysia’s pulse quickened, her breath catching as her body betrayed the fear melting into something far more dangerous. Her lips parted, but no words came out. "You're mine, Elysia, I will burn the world for you." She heard him say in a low growl, making her legs tremble more.

Mourning

The morning started as usual, but the sky was a little bit gloomy and cloudy, which could only mean the raining season was approaching. Azreal was already dressed, and ready for the day, he was standing in front of an oval mirror, fixing his hair when Sevastian walked into the room.

"Good morning, Your Majesty." Sevastian greeted, his head bowing down in respect.

"I believe we are ready to depart, right?" Azreal touched his hair one more time, before he turned to look at Sevastian.

"Yes, Your Majesty. The carriages are ready and awaiting you." Sevastian responded.

"Wonderful, we should make haste. I want to be back before noon." He responded with a light slap on Sevastian's shoulder.

"Do not not plan on having breakfast? The Lady will be down any minute to dine with you." Sevastian stated.

"I would have loved to, but there is no time to waste. I am certain the Lady can cope by herself." Azreal said with a sly smile.
