The Tease
Suri was taken aback. How could the man appear so swiftly in front of her? It felt as though she had just seen him in the middle of the palace courtyard moments ago, and now he already stood before her.
Suri took a step back, instinctively creating some distance between herself and Maxieno. She planned to go back inside, but Maxieno was faster. With one single, long stride, the man positioned himself in front of the door, cornering her on the balcony and preventing her from entering the room.
"I will ask nicely. Please leave this place immediately," Suri braced herself, although her voice faltered slightly.
"Hmm? You have not answered my question, Princess. Are you deliberately avoiding me?"
Suri drew a deep breath.
"If you don't leave right at this moment, then I will scream with all my might. My parents will definitely hear it, and you'll eventually be chased away from Northendell, back to your place, Birwick."
