Guardian wolf

CEO Jaxson's office 

Jaxson has had back to back meetings all day. He was trying to give Paige some space, but that didn't mean he didn't check his phone all day and throughout the meeting as well. Axel wanted Jaxson to pay attention so he took his phone and damm it made him miss a call from Paige. Jaxson goes to the break room to grab his lunch before calling her back.

"Hello".

"Hey. Sorry I missed your call". He smiles at her soft sweet voice that he missed.

"No Biggy we are fine". He hears her gentle giggle.

"I was in a meeting and Axel had taken my phone to make me concentrate".

"It's ok, your a busy man".

"Can I bring anything later when I pick up Charlie. I know you have no car". Jaxson wanted to keep her on the phone longer he missed her already.

"No, we are all good thanks".

"I'm enjoying the lunch you made, thanks".

Jaxson takes a bite he really loved her cooking.

"No problem. Look I gotta go".

"Ok sorry". Jaxson felt a bit defeated he wanted to talk to her longer.

Jaxson got off the phone and he was a bit bummed out. She sounded like she didn't want to talk to him at all. Did his call annoy her that much, he thought he had to apologise to her properly later. Axel enters his office.

"Why are you still eating". Axel looked confused, Jaxson would barely stop working for a coffee usually.

"I called Paige while I was free. She didn't sound happy though. If someone had of taken away my phone maybe she wouldn't have been unhappy with me". Jaxson blamed his brother.

"Sorry bro but she needs space you have another few days to go and that was a multi-billion dollar deal we where listening too. Not just a casual meeting".

"I know, I know. What's next". Jaxson was impatient to keep himself busy.

"A werewolf wants to introduce himself to his Alpha. Sounds like he travels around a lot". This would happen occasionally when a wolf was entering an Alphas territory it was customary to announce your arrival and state how long you are staying.

Knock Knock

"Enter". Jaxson used his Alpha tone, he didn't know if this wolf was a friend or foe.

"Alpha Jaxson, Beta Axel. My name is Dean Wisdom and I'd like to inform you that I am in your territory and staying for the time being. I don't usually stay long. But I have a reason to stay for the moment". Dean stood straight and tall in front of the desk.

"Lone wolf?". Jaxson was curious.

"Yes more or less".

"Ok, have you something to do here?". Jaxson wanted to know if Dean moved around what was making him stay longer here.

"I'm doing some mechanic work at the moment".

"Wait mechanic, do you know Paige". There was only one mechanic he new that fixed up old cars.

"That wee Darlin, yes". Dean smiles.

"Watch what you call my Luna". Jaxson stood and growled out.

"No offence Alpha Jaxson. I was wondering why I thought she was special". Dean held his ground still smiling.

"She is the future Luna and my mate". Jaxson was in full ready to attack mode.

"Noted, may I go". Dean smirked, this Alpha was easy to tease.

"Before you go. Stay away from my mate". Jaxson gritted his teeth and warned Dean.

"Not possible, I'm fixing her car at the moment and I think I know why I'm drawn to her". Again Dean smiled at the angry Alpha.

"Excuse me". Axel put his hand on Jaxson's shoulders to calm him and his beast.

"Bro calms down and here him first. What do you mean?". He looked at Dean.

"I'm not technically a lone wolf I come from a long line of guardian werewolves. As you know our main job is to find our Luna and protect her. Usually, the Luna is an Omega or a human who needs more protection than a normal werewolf".

"I thought you were made up". Jaxson thought they were made up of wolves.

"Nope, I've protected many Luna's in the past".

"Many?". Jaxson questioned.

"Yes many and Paige obviously needs to be protected. I have had to scare off some weirdo twice now".

"Twice". Jaxson was worried, Paige never told him.

"Yea the guy followed her twice now must be a stalker. Don't know what he was thinking".

"Stay and chat for a bit". Jaxson's attitude changed completely now.

They stay and chat about Paige's safety and Jaxson tells him about himself and Paige. He realised Dean isn't a threat, he's just annoying.

"I'm going to tell Paige later". Dean said sitting on the sofa opposite Jaxson and Axel.

"Wait you can't didn't you hear how scared she is?". Axel said worried about how Paige would react.

"Yea but it is different between Luna's and guardians. The connection is like a big brother. I can tell I already make her feel safe".

Jaxson growls at him. He may have no feelings for Paige except the guardian wolf pull and wanting to protect her but it annoys hearing him speak about his mate like that. He's good looking too and he is a bit jealous.
