Strange behaviour

Since, I decided to talk to my boyfriend about this thing. I was waiting for him to wake up after the afternoon nap. When I reached home I saw his message for "goodmorning". Yes, we say good morning after we wake up at any time. I was about to open his message after washing my face but then he called me.

As soon as I picked up, he asked," Are you angry with me?".

I told him that I am not angry from him. When he heard my answer, he waited for two seconds and then himself got angry.

He got angry for responding to his message. I explained that I just got home and then he called. So, I picked up. But he felt like I have answers to all his questions. When I saw him angry over this thing I felt a bit hurt and I went into my awkward stage where if I don't like the behaviour, I may turn silent. All I could see was that he was being angry for no reason. Also, I felt bad that he didn't ask if everything was alright. Although, he moticed my strange behaviour but could not ask if something has happened.

As I was silent, he began to think that I am angry and said something that actually hurt.

He said," You must be enjoying, right? Being angry from someone who is angry with you might be giving you pleasure". I could not understand why he was being like this.

He was being so rude on call as if I did something very wrong. Finally, I gathered some courage and told him that there is something. He asked me if he should come back home for talking as he was outside for a evening walk. I told him we can talk about it after he comes home. He again gor mad and said I am going home now only and will talk to you. I again repeated that we can talk after he reaches home. Then he asked me if the talk is about breakup and was like no it is not. Then a thought hit me that if it is about breakup only then he will go back home now otherwise, he will stay outside. Just to clear this overthinking, I told him that it is not about the breakup but something else. He asked if the talk is related to us. Then I told him no it is about me and my family. He questioned that if is about any argument that has happened. I confirmed.

Then, he told me that he has come to meet his friends and they are calling him. I got a bit upset and reminded him what he said about going home. Then, he turned into his defensive act and explained that he was angry and is not going to home.

That hurt me a bit but what could I have said.
