My mother and sister could only do so much to oppose the rulings and laws my family had in place. When I was 16, I was forced out into the large Mallow Woods wild, like all the young warriors would for a year. Regardless of gender, you would be tested if you wanted to be an adventurer.

I would come back as a competent wolf and man or die to the monsters and threats. Many found this archaic and ruthless, but the results always proved true. Death was common in this new world, and this would force us to grow up and learn to kill when we needed to.
