Ysabel wanted to scream. Had she chosen not to go out, she would have saved herself from meeting the two men she least expected and wanted to meet.
But the inevitable already happened. She couldn't merely ignore them as it would be rude. Hence, paying the same politeness she did with Kian, Ysabel curtsied and stopped herself from creating another problem.
"What kind of game are you playing, dear Ysabel?"
Hinrik's voice echoed in Ysabel's head. She took a deep breath.
'We both have our own motives. But what are his?'
"Princess," Prince Hinrik greeted, ushering her to join him inside the carriage. "I'm headed back to the palace. Why don't you join me?"
Ysabel glanced at the child, who was still held by Hinrik's guard.
"Let me take care of this child first."
Hinrik gestured for the man to let the child go. He obeyed.
Ysabel extended a hand to the child.
"Tell me where you live. You're shivering."
