King Magiio's Lies

I listen as the king repeatedly lies to my mother, the thing about the curse on my family is that we can detect when someone is lying. Sometimes we get hanged for witchcraft when other people lie to us. I know, it's a cruel world we live in but hopefully the next king will be much better.

"Your Highness, please, stop lying to me. Tell me the truth about what happened to your wife, the now late queen." Mother says, bored of all the lies floating around. Just then King Magiio says something none of us expected.

"WITCH! SHE'S A WITCH! HAVE HER HANGED!" King Magiio shouts, calling his guards. I sigh, knowing that if I intervene I, too, will be hanged. I just watch as King Magiio's guards drag Mother out of the tower. The maids and butlers say nothing about me, knowing that no one knows about me except for them and Mother. I wait for King Magiio and his guards to leave with Mother and as soon as they do I run downstairs to talk to the maids and butlers.

"Yes Miss Morana? What is it?" A butler asks me. Dolion is in his normal black snake form so they don't question the snake that is now around my neck and right wrist.

"I wish to kill the king as Mother is being hanged." I say with an evil grin.

The butler nods, "Of course, Miss Morana, you may do as you wish. Now I shall learn when they will hang your mother and then I shall return to fetch you." He says before leaving. I look at the others and assign them to do the chores around the tower and to prepare my special outfit made for special occasions. I watch as they all scatter before I head to the throne room and sit on the throne as I wait for the maid to return with my outfit.
