Nostalgia
The city sprawled out before me, a surreal mix of colours and shapes. Buildings twisted upwards like they had their own ideas of what gravity was meant to do, and street signs glowed in that unmistakable demonic script, flickering purples and greens that pulsed like a heartbeat.
The whole place had a rhythm, a pulse, that made me feel both at home and… well, haunted.
I kept pace beside Lydia, who looked half-fascinated and half-baffled by everything around us. My fingers absently brushed the old amulet hanging around my neck a simple, rough piece that felt as heavy as the memories it carried.
Jade and I used to wander these streets, laughing and causing minor trouble, but now, with Lydia by my side, those memories were bittersweet.
