C24: Forward!

Gulp!

The vampire gulped down the contents of the potion Melloni had brewed for him and he felt more energy running through his veins. He closed his eyes and a message appeared on his retina.

<You have consumed Uni-Crome aura juice!>

<The curse has been deactivated for 10 more days successfully!>

"Ahhh…" Eric exhaled in relief and smiled at Rib. "Finally, Rib, another 10 days of joy."

Rib neighed upon hearing him say this. Eric laughed. "Why, boy? You don't think I should rest?"

Rib neighed once more. It was as if the horse was disagreeing with the Vampire. "Hmm.. true, Rib. We can't rest till we successfully lift this damn curse. Now… let's look into this matter about Rats."

Eric jumped into the horse's saddle once more. "Let's go, Rib." Rib started to slowly move forward, back out of the magical barrier. He moved back to Downwood city on horseback, hoping to reach this "Sewer Juice," sooner than he expected to reach it.

At the time he left Lorkey's, it was 4 pm, and rain clouds were brewing in the far skies.

"The two losers are still alive, and the castle's tunnel way has been breached. Our princess's only escape route had been blocked. The rats played us good this time – and how the fuck did they know that the tunnel led right into the sewer?" Pattermont cried out, gulping down another mouthful of green beer.

Sitting around him were the rest of the crew in the bar, and even the Frog Whores, which the Frog thusiast Lin didn't stop staring at.

The lights of the pub were flickering and the water had run out. The electricity system of the pub was an underground system connecting somewhat close to the sewers and now it was gone too, so there was technically no electricity now.

The knights couldn't simply run back to the castle to help out the guards cause that'll take another hour or so… and they didn't come on horseback. And in the worst-case scenario, it was raining!

Sophia was simply wondering about Jamie and Andy, who was their last hope, cause if anyone was going to kill that Rat who summoned all these undying monster rats, it was them.

Meanwhile… Lin had done something he never expected he could do, flirt with a goddamn Frogwoman.

The two of them were drinking by the counter, and both of them were sitting next to each other. The frog lady was still wearing her sexy black bikini, and her large boobs were too much for the tiny bra to handle, and this one's face was human, only the scaly body was non-human. And of course, the tail.

"Hey… lights out, huh?" Lin asked, gazing at the Frog lady's eyes.

"Yes, it seems." She replied, her voice, cute and tender. Her skin was gorgeously white and her hair was silver-colored, dropping down to her waist. Her eyes were the most beautiful. It was a greenish color that Lin himself hadn't seen before.

"What?" she asked upon seeing Lin stare at her.

"You work here part-time?" Lin asked her, stupidly once more.

"Um – no! Why would I be a part-time whore? I want a family… I don't want to be here. I am a slave," she replied, slightly irritated by Lin's question.

"Hmm… umm, you're beautiful," Lin said, gazing at her figure.

"Um – what? Don't look at me like that, and don't gimme that! I know you don't mean it!"

"No, no… I'm serious. I'm not like the other guys – I seriously love the color of your eyes, the scales in your tail, and your… half-green skin. Other humans might look at you hoping for sexual desires – but I don't know – I like your eyes," Lin muttered.

It was somewhat true, what he said. Lin was quite the honest guy, even though he's mostly an idiot on guard duty. At least the guy was strong, and the man did have a kind heart and no racial hate. He was a simple guy living a simple life.

"You are – not?" The girl asked him, her eyes filled with awe. "You really think my tail is that beautiful," the animagi frog raised her tail from behind as she said this, waving her tail.

"Yes, that is very beautiful," the drunk guy replied, gazing at her tail. The girl flushed upon hearing that.

"Mmm ~ can you lift up your helmet and show me your face too, then?" she asked.

The knight did as the girl ordered, and inside… was somewhat of a good looking young man in his 20s. He had thin eyes and black hair that dropped down to his shoulders, and his eyes were grey. But all in all, he kinda had that stupidness drawn on his face and the bangs falling over his eyebrows.

"You look handsome… and honest," the girl smiled.

"Thank you, miss." Lin replied.

Their gazes fixed on each other and soon, their faces were not even an inch further from each other. The animagi opened her mouth and her tongue came out, grasping Lin's tongue with its sticky thick skin. She pulled him to her and kissed him, as their faces flushed and saliva started dripping from their mouths.

"Mmmm ~ mmm..." the frog mumbled as she rolled her sticky tongue in Lin's mouth.

Sophia wasn't sitting too far from the new found couple, and she couldn't do anything but shake her head, gazing at this view. She didn't even know if to feel confused or happy about this situation!

"Hell –" she muttered, smirking at the kissing couple.

The apple finished when they finally managed to close up to the Castle's tunnel system. Around the tunnel way, Rats were swarming just seconds ago, but Jamie and the cat somehow pulled off all their recently learned skills to kill these Rats.

They were finally, truly… bored of killing rats over and over again.

Moreover, rainwater was flushing in the mud from the streets from above the sewers, and that was truly disgusting. The two warriors had already gotten used to this smell, so they didn't care anymore.

"What the hell man –" Jamie sighed, looking at either side of the tunnel way, gazing at the water flowing in like waterfalls.

"The path is cleared for now… let's run to this raised structure here," the cat yelled, showing the sewer map on his phone to Jamie. "That'll save us man… or we'll drown!"

The two ran forth, saving themselves from the water that was rising to Jamie's knee even. The cat almost drowned in the sewer water!

They finally came forward and found some stairs that were leading up to another tunnel above. And this was exactly where the underground tunnel's entrance was.

"Shit – I think we made it," Jamie muttered, gazing at the broken bars of metal in front of them.

"I think –"

Suddenly, a figure appeared from the very end of the sewer system leading up to the underground tunnel.

It was a damned rat, and this time… it wasn't a monster. It was an animagi who came through that gap.

"Can't allow trespassers through here," the rat spoke. It was almost as tall as Jamie and it was wearing a weird hoodie with the words [Risen Rats] on the middle with a font that looked like holes in a cheese surface.

"We're not trespassers, rat! We came here to specifically kill you!" The Demon King snapped at the rat.

"Oh, well… I don't have to fight, my alliance will fight for me," the rat turned around and dashed up the stairs to the tunnel.

"Argh!" Jamie threw his sword from the spot he was standing towards the rat, and –

SLASH! The rat's tail sliced off clean.

"AHHH!! FUCKERS!! AHH – KILL THEM!!!"

The rat screamed as it ran. Blood was pouring out its wound

However… The cores they destroyed seemed to be a whole backup army because about 100 more eyes gleamed in the shadows near the tunnel.

Jamie narrowed his eyes and from the aura of that rat leader, he could tell that there was a much more powerful core, inside his own heart.
