The sky had already darkened with the moon high in the sky. By the time Liu Xiuying had finished her work, it was already some minutes past nine. She leaned back into her chair and raised her arm, untying her long and black hair, making it fall freely down her shoulders like a stream.
She ran her jade-like and slender fingers through her hair as she closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath.
"You are done with work"
That familiar cold and deep voice rang out in the room, making her jump up from her seat in shock. She turned her head only to see those dark and clear eyes that were staring intensely at her.
"Mr. Mo, what are you doing...here?" She paused for a moment before saying the last word in a soft voice.
Mo Yanlin's brow shot up, questioningly.
"I mean... I-I didn't know you were at my back..." The last word came out from her mouth in a whisper. She realized that she had said the wrong thing and didn't know how to explain herself.
