Chapter 5: the trial

Speechless.....

Everybody on the platform was dumbfounded.

The name was not what surprised them but rather the arrogant look on the face of the boy.

Lord Mo releases his aura on the boy.

Cause how can he allow anyone to be arrogant in his presence?

Tian felt his body become heavy like a giant mountain was falling on him, trying to crush him; his whole body cell screamed pain.

But surprisingly, he was still standing firm, and his gaze was sharp.

Lord Mo was surprised to see that firm determined gaze on a small boy of 8yrs.

I'm sure lord Mo will have pissed his ass if he realizes the boy he called 8yrs was just born a few hours ago.

He raises his eyebrow, and then a machiavellian smile appears on his devil face.

Then he increases his aura. Blood started leaking out of Tian's mouth, nose, and ears. There was a creaking sound of breaking bone coming from his body.

Then a terrifying will emerges from his body, a deep black and gold scale with violet runes like stars on each scale appears and covers his body from head to toe, with claws and long sharp tails.

His aura becomes destructive, and his gaze becomes crazed with the look that says I rather die than kneel to you.

Ohhh...

"I'm surprised to see an ant trying to go against heaven. Aren't you afraid of being trampled to death?"

Lord Mo asked with a devilish smile on his face

"Even if I'm an ant, I will still bear my fang against heaven."

"Ohhh...

Lord Mo replies with a curious face before he withdraws back his aura.

A devilish laughter that shook the whole platform rang out in his mouth before he directed his gaze back to Tian.

"Boy... I like your firm character, and my instinct tells me you are a precious asset that can help me achieve my goal smoothly, so I will make you my most valuable slave".

Lord Mo said to him with an earnest look on his face

Snort...

"You want me to become a slave?"

"Even I won't bow to heaven not to talk about becoming a slave to you,"

Tian replies with an explosive aura unconsciously coming from his body.

"Ohhh.... Do you think you have a choice?"

Tian's heart skipped a beat, but he still had that crazed look on his face, starring deep into "lord Mo su" eye

Cause now he realizes the situation he was in, firstly, he doesn't know the kind of world he is in, nor does he knows where he is and how he got here.

With all this in his mind, he took a deep breath before gazing intently into lord Mo's eyes.

"Even though I don't have a choice right now, I won't be your slave; I rather choose death than be a slave to anyone."

He said this with a cruel smile on his face.

However, the thought of accepting his fate crosses his mind, but immediately he has such a thought, he feels disgusted, and a sense of pride comes from his soul that crushes the idea.

At the same time, he has a lot of questions and curiosity in his mind cause he doesn't understand what's going on within himself. For example, how did the scale appear on his body? What destructive energy emerges from his body earlier, and where does it come from?

All this is new to him. Even though he experienced thousands of battles and killings, he hadn't participated in one before.

But in fact, all this experience made his mind calm and able to think in front of a terrifying expert like lord Mo.

"So you will rather die than be my slave?"

He replied with a carefree attitude.

Lord Mo called out

Lord Mo then directed his gaze to Tian after he was done talking to Mo Chen, but he was surprised to see the boy standing in a pool of blood earlier was now looking fine; in fact, he didn't look like someone that almost bleeds to death a few seconds ago.

"What a strange being you are; I felt like dissecting your body now so I can see all the secrets in your body, but that won't benefit me in any way."

"Alright, I'm sure you heard the conversation earlier. You won't be partaking in the same journey with these children since I will send you to a more dangerous place. However, there is a 99% chance of you dying there".

After saying this, lord Mo then has a mischievous smile on his face.

"And why should I listen to you?"

Tian asked

Hahahahahah

Lord Mo laughs out Loud for a minute before he continues.

"I see you are a man who wants to be in control of your fate, but without power, how can you achieve that?"

Tian was quiet while his head was facing down.

Seeing his situation, lord Mo struck the iron while it was hot.

"And, of course, I can help you obtain power and provide you with any cultivation resources you need and all the knowledge of cultivation worlds."

"And what's the price for all this?"

Tian asked with a Machiavellian smile on his face.

"Of course, you have to serve my evil underworld empire."

"And what's the difference between that and a slave?"

"The difference is that you will have your freedom To do anything you want, you have your own free will not like slaves that only listen to their master's command, all you have to do is make sure you accomplish any assignment the empire gave to you."

Tian was quiet after hearing this, and he started thinking of the best solution for him; he found the current offer moderate for his current situation cause he felt if he rejected the suggestion, the man in front of him won't hesitate to kill him.

The fear of death is not in his mind, but he actually can't stop thinking of the nine mysterious experts that went to everything by giving up their life so he could be who he was today.

Then a thought came to his mind...

"Father told me I have everything I need; I only need to look deep within myself, and if I'm strong, not overwhelm this empire as a whole will they dare to be a shackle to my path?"

"Then I will make this empire my first whetstone to my journey of supremacy, for this empire to think of using me as a weapon, then I will become the weapon that will crush this empire to ruin."

He determines in his heart; without realizing it, something awakens in his heart.
