The sky hindered the light and the snow flickered through the clouds, the car had the presence of Lucas and his Gramps yet the loneliness couldn't leave them behind. Gramps had decided to wander to a small drive with his sweet grandson, yet the gloomy wind had stayed with them.
"Gramps, where are we going?"
"Now son, Don't worry, I'm gonna reveal you your own question, you'll get your answer soon enough,"
While those words were spoken, Lucas shifted his glance down at his feet and all he could think was of seeing his parents once again, it was a trifle at most that they were abusive, he just wanted to seize them in his eyes. The car kept its pace but soon it stopped, revealing the shrubbery to his eyes. It was the graveyard!
"Gramps, what are we doing here?"
Gramps didn't budge his lips, instead, he walked out and asked Lucas to come with him. Lucas went out and stared at the graveyard, there was no presence of any human still Lucas felt he had someone's eyes that were following him.
"Now Lucas, you're 14 years old already so you must know the truth that regards your parents,"
They advanced their feet and though Lucas didn't say a word but he'd known, he'd known that something bad must have occurred to his parents.
"Gramps, tell me what happened to them?"
"Be patience son, and you'll get your doubts fade away soon enough," Lucas walked beside him, still the feelings were pummeling him to an extremity that he couldn't forbearance the scream within himself. Soon they tumbled against a gravestone. Lucas heeded his eyes to the sentences that were scrawled over it.
"Violet Williams," and that was it, there were no messages or anything like that, but as he read the name, he felt the lightning strike him, and his tears washed down his cheeks.
"You must have understood as you read the name on this gravestone, it's your mother's!" Said, Gramps.
"Now, don't you dare try to leave me!" Said Zak as he wore his clothes.
"You know I love you." He looked at her as she was settled onto the bed with her damp eyes with tears and her face that had no emotions waddling about, Zak had the pity and rage in his eyes, though he knew he was responsible for the wretched state of her right now, still in his own heart, it was a right step to take to show the possession he owned on her. As the gate swished open, Lucas's eyes rose up, he'd heard footsteps of Zak then stopped against his door, and heard the mocking chuckle of his, he then rose and peeked through the hole as he heard Zak vanishing out. There she was, on the bed, with her lingeries hiding her naked body, then she began to attach the dress to herself, the sadness had permeated the sweet face of her, but at least the tears were gone away. She settled onto the bed again and stared at the ceiling, still, Lucas knew there he could inform the police yet he'd restrained himself to do so. Lucas kept his leering at her as she began her prowling, though this time with ease as her body was weary to an extremity, perhaps because of Zak's sexual assault and his toxicity. He'd settled down and still was in the guilt of not helping her in any way. He looked down and saw his knees had the blood dripping, the wound had its ways of blood, that got opened when he tried to move to help her, though it wasn't any pain yet he'd felt anxious when he spotted the blood, soon enough he heard her door open, then peeked through the hole once again and the room had her vacant, then the knock formed against his door.
"Hey, open the door, it's me," her voice had that little cry. Lucas rose, yet his legs were trembling with pain, though he managed to reach and opened the door, she stood stricken against his eyes, then decided to walk in and sat down on the bed.
"I'm sorry, I took a lot of time to find this one, I couldn't find it at the time, uh…. Silly me," she chuckled but her chuckled was to the hide the pain, the pain that was lingering behind. Lucas saw her wrist that had the red spots, indicating the scars left by Zak's grip. Though she noticed his attentive eyes and quickly hid them by her dress. Lucas walked up to her and sat down, although the words were still rummaging inside his mind, "I'm sorry!" Still, he tried to get it out yet he couldn't do anything but blame himself for what happened to her, if he could not have read that book in heft that her fate couldn't have shifted itself to the assault path. He shifted his glance at her neck, and the redness had its presence there. Yet he'd decided to ignore it.
"Take this," she offered him the book, her eyes were leering at him with so suspicion that he felt the urge of avowal.
"Uh thank you, you were reading a book as well,"
"Ah yes…. I…. Um yeah, I will proceed to read it now," Lucas nodded and looked at her as she took the comic in her hand and sat down. Lucas felt his attention not being heeded to the book, instead, his attention was on her, she was reading though it didn't feel like that.
"Hey, is something troubling you?" Asked Lucas. She quickly took her head up and leered at him.
"No, why would I be troubled? If you aren't liking that one then maybe I can offer you something else,"
"No, it's not about the book,"
"Oh, your knees bleeding,"
"My knees aren't important, I know something happened to you when you were in your room,"
Her eyes raged with tears and her lips trembled to say anything, then she shifted her head down, hiding her tears from him.
"I'm so sorry but I can't tell you." she soon began to wipe her tears, though her heart had the pang emotion but she wasn't sure to avow it to Lucas.
"You don't have to, I know what he did to you!"
