Chapter 41

"Hello?"A voice says in the McVenus house. "Really? Are you sure?...Okay, thanks. Let me know if anything else alright. Bye."Richard sighs.

It is reported that car tracks has been found aroubd the area Irye and her family went to.

Richard suspects it is Blake because even though it's a place of attraction, people barely go there. It may be people living around there though but he's instincts tells him it might be Blake.

Recalling from the day he speaks with Blake, the boy has been acting weird. How Richard knows?... He's been spying on him indirectly. He felt suspicious of Blake when he asked for the map from him.

And true, Blake makes Richard's suspicions a reality. He's been shopping for unusual things he won't use around in the city. Things like tents and others.

Blake buys instant foods and snacks and a lot of them too. It's not like he lives in the forest to stock foods that much.

He may be a bit who doesn't like cooking but it doesn't explain why he goes for that lot instant food and snacks instead of groceries.

"This won't do"Richard murmurs to himself and takes his car keys on the table. He rushes out of the study room.

Outside, he meets his wife. "Where are you going by this time? Am about to cook supper."Mirabel asks, walking into the kitchen to put the groceries she shopped down.

"I have to step out a bit. It's a little urgent."Richard follows her to the kitchen.

Abigail turns and sighs."Work?... Can't you just take a...."

"It's...not work."Richard interrupts, walking closer. "I just need to check something for myself."He flips his arm across Mirabel's shoulder.

"I will be back in a little. Before you know it."He continues, standing behind his wife.

Abigail raises his arm and turns to him."Alright... it's not like I can keep you here. Be back before dinner."she orders.

"Yes ma'am."Richard says and gives her a peck on the cheek.

Richard has changed a lot. He is much more caring towards his family and is trying to stop his alcoholic behaviour.

So much has happened and he is coming home the more.

Mirabel is happy with how he is now. She has craved for attention from him for long, she is glad, getting it after a long time.

The family is starving. Its past morning and they've not gotten anything to eat.

Irye decides to go for some fresh air. Everything that's been happening makes her feel stuffy. She might be a twin, she doesn't know.

She is finding out shocking things as they spend more time there. She doesn't know what else she might find out, whether it may be more shocking or not.

She walks to the boundary and looks up the sky, sighing deeply. Unconsciously, she touches the boundary. Her eyes still looking up.

She feels something suddenly pull her causing her to look to that direction. Her hands pass through the boundary and her jaw drops.

Blake drives forward a little and stops the car. Taking the map, he gets down and check.

Although he doesn't know where he is going, he follows his instincts. Using Irye's likes about nature.

She would like a place like this, he thinks. She must be around a place like this. He walks forward, looking on the ground for other clues.

After a while, he comes to a clearing. He is tired from walking for long. His stomach growls, asking for food. Looking around, he realises he is in a forest and he sucks at hunting.

Blake decides to go back to his car for food and drive it back to investigate more on the place he's found currently.

Richard drives to Blake's house. He presses the bell but after a while no one answers. He's been there for some time now and is getting tired.

Richard's about going when he meets Amber. He is checking to see who is at Blake's gate.

"Good day...Do you live here?"Richard asks him, looking at the house.

"Good day...No Sire.. It's my friend's."Amber replies. "But he's not around."

"Do you know where he went?"Richard asks. "Can you tell me where he went?

"Err...I...don't really...know."Amber hesitates. "He didn't tell me where..."

"It's urgent. I need to know if he's there or not."Richard cuts Amber's words short.

"If he's there?" Where do you think he will be?"Amber asks politely.

"You know it. He's gone to find Irye, right?"Richard tries to confirm his thoughts.

"Wait...how do you..."Amber is taken by surprise. "Are...are you..."he stutters.

"Nice meeting you."Amber's says out of nowhere. "Am sorry I didn't know you where Irye's father."

Richard seeing Amber's reactions, he uses it to his advantage.

"So Blake went there right?...To where Irye is."He asks.

"Yes..it's already been three days."Amber answers.

"He shouldn't be there."Richard whispers to himself. "Thanks..."he points at Amber.

"Amber sire..am Amber."He says.

"Right..thanks Amber. Alright later."Richard says and walks to his car.

Amber watches as he drives out of sight.

Irye is surprised by what's happening. The boundary should be resisting by penetration rather than welcoming it. She tries sending her other hand and it also gives through.

Just to be sure, Irye steps into it and he legs lands on the other side of the boundary.

"Whoa.."She says out of excitement as she walks through the boundary.

Evie notices as she is felt that Irye's been gone for long and looks for her.

She is startled when she sees Irye go through the boundary.

"Irye"Evie runs after her. She tries to pass through but is pushed back. She tries again, still getting the same reaction.

Irye looks up and down not getting why she can pass through but Evie can. It wasn't like this, why?.

She enters again and tries to go out again. She passes through. He face spells confusion as she enters the boundary again.

"I think am the only one who can get through."she tells Evie and she smiles.

At least is she can't get through, she is happy Irye can because it might help in figuring out how to get them out.

And also get them some food, they are starving, not to talk of herself.
