Half an hour later, several cars passed Kendra one by one, and she could only walk as slowly as possible. She knew she couldn't walk back. It was impossible. What should she do? Kendra thought for a while and tried to get help from passing cars, but none of them stopped to let her in. Kendra had to continue to walk. She didn't expect that anyone would help her. Soon, her ankles got swollen.
"Shit!" Kendra cursed and sat down on the road. As she took her phone out and wondered who she could call, a car stopped in front of her. Kendra raised her head and saw Lendon put the window down and stare at her.
Looking at his face, Kendra felt so angry. Why did he come back?
"Miss Miller, please get in." Curtis got off and invited her. He walked to her and wanted to help her stand up.
"No." Kendra pushed Curtis away. She was in no mood to accept any kindness after what Lendon had done to her.
"Miss Miller, just get in," Curtis said vaguely.
