The Cursed Chaos

Unbeknownst to the modern world, the realms of magic have been at war with each other, each vying for dominance. Utahi Toshiba, a powerful but unfortunate wizard, succumbed to the ancient magical force known as Chaos. Driven to the brink of death, Utahi used his last strength to imbue a newborn child with this chaos magic. That child is Kai Kikuchi, a mortal that had no known knowledge or connections to magic, a perfect hidden vessel. For thirteen years, this power of chaos dwelled within Kai, never manifesting itself until Kai’s anger got the better of him. While being bullied at school, Kai tapped into the power of Chaos on accident. However, a mage hunter sensed Kai’s power and brought him before the Hokage, the headmaster of a magical academy known as the Magesterium. Knowing that the power Kai possessed was dangerous, the Hokage chose to teach Kai control over Chaos and hide the true existence of this power from everyone. However, as Kai delves into this new world of magic, he quickly learns that chaos is something that might never be controlled. As the world that Kai knew of crumbles around him, he realizes that power and strength are not what make a man, for his own personal abilities are nothing compared to the magical realms that seek to consume him. As Chaos begins to swallow him whole, will he choose to try and master control over the Chaos, or will he choose to become the villain and let the inner desires of the Chaos lead him deeper into its temptations? Follow along now with Kai and his friends to find out!

Arwen

"Chaos has always been a nightmare" Doctor Arwen glared at Botan. He removed his glasses cause his eyes were already heating up, and his breath was fast.

"Arwen?" Botan made to approach him but Arwen snapped.

"Don't fucking tell me anything".

Arwen sniffed in "Do you know what?, I am going to report this to the Hokage".

Botan stared at him without saying anything. Botan already knew where Arwen's reaction is going, he wondered how worse it'll be if Arwen finds out that the Hokage also knew about it.

"Am sorry Botan but this is the right thing to do" Arwen sniffed bitterly.

"Well, am sorry too".

"Huh?" Arwen was lost. "What are you saying?".

Botan later broke the camel's back "Am sorry to let you know that the Hokage is aware of it".

Arwen heard what Botan said but he didn't want to believe that he did. "That he's aware of what?".

"He's aware of the chaos".

Arwen was almost out of breath, "What is wrong with everyone?, What is wrong with you, Botan?".

Botan tucked his hands in his pockets and brought out his phone "He wants to talk with you". Botan handed the phone to Arwen.

Arwen was still looking shocked, his body was vibrating though as much as he tries to hide it, it becomes worse.

Chaos brought loneliness into the life of Arwen when the mage war struck with the chaos, Arwen's parents were killed when they tried to protect his younger sister but the protection was a waste cause his sister was also killed. All his family, he lost to the chaos.

Arwen was one of the most intelligent mages in the magisterium. He studied about the chaos and he always craves to destroy it whenever it'll come around again until when Utahi bore the chaos in him, that was one of the most unbelievable things Arwen saw. He heard the aftermath of Utahi when he died, rumours went around that the chaos had died with him.

He felt relieved for the first time, he dropped all his plans on how to defeat the chaos and focused more on making his life better. He became a doctor in magisterium after studying and graduating with a good score and rank.

"Hello, doctor Arwen?".

"Hello, sir" Arwen's voice was shaky.

The Hokage exhaled, "I know you'll be troubled with what you've heard but believe me, I have everything under control. We need your help and that's why we wanted you to know about it, do not share any information concerning it with anyone, ok?"

"Ok sir" Arwen could only mumble. "Here" He gave the phone back to Botan. "Excuse me" He hurried away to the restroom.

"How is he taking it?" The Hokage asked Botan.

"Very bad, I hope he stands strong later".

***********

"Kyung Mi, red or white which do you like?".

"Mmm, White".

Lee-Chin, Kyung's childhood friend dropped the red top and picked up the white one, she stood in front of the mirror and laid the white top on her chest checking if it fits her.

She smiled, "It fits me perfectly!". Lee-Chin is a kind of a jumpy person who loves being jovial and active, she grew up with Kyung Mi in the pre magic school.

Kyung Mi was staring out of her window. Her mind reflected on earlier that day in school. She looked at her badge.

'Rep of Ist level mages'.

She sighed and wondered if she'll ever have a breathing space to herself since people cluster so much around her just like today in school after she was elected, anyways she's the strongest amongst others.

When that thought crossed her mind she smiled. Something familiar caught her attention at the gate of her house. She stays in the phoenix house.

That was someone she has met before. She looked closely and immediately she frowned.

"You bi**tch".

She wondered what Kai was doing at the phoenix house, "Does he lives here?".

Kai walked past the gate. There were a lot of students hanging around the area, most of them in groups. Kai ignored every scenario and walked straight into the long corridor that goes up to his room.

"Why staring at the boy's dorm?" Lee-Chin asked Kyung Mi when she noticed Kyung has been staring at it.

Kyung Mi jerked back a little, "Um, nothing". She turned to Lee and wriggled her eyebrows, "What are you thinking" she asked jokingly.

"I should be asking you that. Maybe because you've started seeing a guy right?" Lee-Chin smiled mischievously.

"That'll always be my last resort" Kyung hissed.

Kai laid on his bed with a loud thud. He stretched out his hands and shoulders to release some tensed muscles. At that point, his eyes went to the leather bangle which Fuji gave him. He smiled, immediately he jerked up from his bed and went to his bag, he brought out the scroll. It was tied with an article of red clothing.

Kai untied it, he stretched out the scroll with his two hands, the writings were beautiful.

"The summoning blade of the seven dragons techniques and magic".
