Paying Debts
Franklin stood from where he had crashed into and wiped the blood of the dead man on his shirt. He still had to get a hold on stopping himself after going full speed. He was finally free, free of the guild and all their troubles. And as soon as morning came he was leaving Hayside for good. Franklin took two steps forward only to be stopped by the sound of cackling behind him.
His world froze for a second and in the next one, he found himself falling down to the earth with his dead detached from his body.
He had no idea what was going on, but he could only guess Nicholas was still alive. 'impossible' his dying mind whispered to him just before everything started losing light. He was sure he had killed the man, do how come? How come he was the one dying and Nicholas was laughing right in front of his eyes.
