"Twenty holy artifacts being guarded by the church huh" Nicholas enunciated. He made it sound like he was asking for confirmation with his words, but in reality he understood fully what he was doing. He already knew of the holy artifacts that the church guarded, however he hadn't figured they were twenty in number, with the inclusion of Nigel's whip.
If what Hollister had said, and all twenty were imbued with pure energy, it would be more than enough to give him the power boost he so much desired. But, there was the risk of incompatibility. Unlike Nigel who had managed to override the energy flow of his whip by balancing it out with his own energy, those artifacts were meant to reject and destroy all form of hell's energy they come in contact with.
