The Last Day

Mors soon arrives in front of a gate; gray color metal bars and two mortal guards stop his advancement to his destination. A wooden and stone mansion, very different compared to the stone and brick houses that make up most of the city. The two guards knew from the start that Mors is a cultivator, his cold eyes, black mask, and red color outfit screamed cultivator.

With shaking legs and a soft voice, they block Mor's way with their spears. Making an X with them.

"Excuse me….this place is off-limit"

"That it's fine, I have an appointment with the man that lives in this house. Tell him is the cultivator from the Sands region"

The guards looked at each other confused; they had no idea what this sand region place is. The general world knowledge for poor mortals is not the highest, so they lack certain knowledge that cultivators take for granted. One of the guards, the most scared of Mors. Leaves his partner behind as he enters through the metal gate. Running towards the mansion to talk with the master.

5 minutes went by in total silence, the mortal too scared to talk and Mors not caring enough to start a conversation with the guard. As he went through his status, he has been spending a lot of fate points as of late and is running a bit low. He needs to do some farming to get his points back up.

But soon enough he was free from this torment, which is what the guard felt as he saw his partner come back with the master and the young master. Mors instantly recognizes these two people; it is the young man and the old man he met at the party.

Soon the two guards open the metal gates, and Mors is allowed to enter the gate. He stands in front of the young man and the old cripple man. He speaks in a friendly manner as he looks at the two of them.

"Hello there, I came to do the thing you ask of me. If you could please show me the way"

"Of course, I am happy a cultivator such as you remember your promise to this old man. "

The old man said as he commanded his grandson to move the wheelchair towards the mansion once again. Mors this time following them. It did not take long to reach the main door of the wooden mansion. It's beautiful architecture made Mors wonder how much this whole thing cost to make and how long it took.

As they get closer to the wooden double doors, two servants open the door for the trio. The entrance of the house is wheelchair friendly. This makes sense as the owner uses one, Mors never really questions it, but this world technology is slowly reaching the same technology of 2000 Earth.

Maybe is because they live in a world with superhumans, long-live cultivators, and supernatural powers. That it makes sense for them to research things faster than on Earth. Allowing for the skip of certain technologies as they had something natural that could do the same thing.

Mors made the small note of reading more about this world's technological development, he is not going to try to make new inventions for this world. He is not that smart, but just to grow his knowledge of this world. While in his own mental palace, thinking about other things to do. He soon arrives at a well-kept room. Full of old and historical artifacts.

The young man is standing in front of him holding a sandstone tablet. The table is old and shows the effect of erosion, weird symbols are carved into the stone tablet. Symbols that neither the old man nor the young man knows what they mean or understand.

Neither does Mors, as the symbols in front of him are something he recognizes as Egyptian. This makes a very important question pop into Mor's mind. Something he has taken for granted, but this world's cultures, are very similar to the ones on earth. Maybe an ancient older version of the cultures he is familiar with, but the blueprint and the heritage are still there.

There are more than a couple of questions that Mors should really look for answers to. But even if he did look for their answers it won't help in his adventure for immortality, they will satisfy his curiosity at most. But he shakes his head as he notices he hasn't talked in a very long time.

"Well to start out with the symbol in this table are words from an ancient language. I sadly can't decipher them, but I do know that the civilization that spoke this language is long dead. Only their ancient monuments still remain."

As Mors finishes speaking, the eyes of the old man go wide. As he commands his grandson to hand him over the tablet. He looks at the table as he nods his head, it makes sense what Mors said. Plus, Mors is from the region this artifact comes from, there cannot be a better source than his in this region.

"Haha, this is great, thank you so much, esteem cultivator. Do you have any more knowledge about this civilization?"

------Zhihui Pov------

Zhihui looks at the five disciples in front of her, they aren't her disciples but Heng's disciples. He asked her last night to teach his disciples some of the principles behind mythical arts. Since he is not that good at them, and she has talents for all the mythical elements.

His disciples were more than happy with this arrangement if it was before they would not even cared about Zhihui. But she has gotten her talents back making her teaching equal to that of the current heir to the sect and the Wu clan. They have been listing to her lecture for a while now, they were slowly getting the hang of using mythical art.

Making them reflect on how badly they were handling the elements before. She teaches them advanced techniques in how to expand the control of their elements. The hardest thing about mythical elements is their range, at first, their range is very small, it requires touch to activate, or the use of a tool that expands their range.

But she shows them a way to push the range and the requirements to their very limits. That is QI touch, the act of infusing your QI into an object. This acts as an extension of their touch and QI, but it does not last very long. Her solution to this is to create a small throwable object and infused them with water, earth, or oil.

With these basic components, they can activate their elements at a higher range and with more flexibility, a very useful tool for those that have low rank or stage mythical arts. Something she herself does not really need thanks to her channel element ability and her blood element.

The disciples continue to try this new approach she teaches them, she only steps in to show them a few tricks and to answer any of their questions. This is how she spends the first half of her day, as soon came the time for her to start her journey back to the sect capital and meet her parents once again.

This week's final chapter! Hope you all enjoy it and see you all next week!
