Freezing Port Part 2

The ship anchors on the makeshift port. This wooden port is made from the trees that grow on this island. The Ghost gets out of the ship and walks towards the island. Mors gets out of the ship as well as he lands on the wooden port. Feeling it shake a bit under his weight.

'It was not built to sustain actual weight."

The island itself looks normal if you ignored the giant ice pillar in the middle of it. This ice pillar seems to emanate cold winds that spread across the island. Not even the strong sunlight could melt the ice. Mors walks out of the dock and follows the Ghost as they make their way to their base of operations.

As they walk across the island, the path is surrounded by dead plants and frozen animals. Their soulless frozen eyes landed on Mors and evoking a sense of horror. Mors has seen something like this before, but instead of frozen animals. It was the head of those whose bodies exploded under land mines.

Their still open and widen eyes continue to linger on the back of Mor's mind. Mors started to channel his Qi around his body and mind to calm himself down. Soon the group reaches the center of the island. The large freezing cold ice spike became even more impressive up close.

Its cold winds made even Mors shiver up a bit. But with his Qi circulating around his body, the shiver went away. The Ghost seems to be taking a ramp that leads downwards. Maybe they could not pass through solid rock and soil. Mors follows the Ghost without a complaint.

As they go deeper underground, the temperate plummets. The stone and soil walls had a layer of shining blue ice. Soon the frozen corpses of Nagas appear. Like unmoving statues, all caught in time with their mouths open and their hands cover shielding their faces.

"Sorry about this Second Death, we were planning to move them to another place and dispose of them. But we lack manpower and freeing our brothers and sisters is our first priority."

"Of course, I am not judging for your actions."

Mors said with a smile on his face, not like the Ghost could see it. Soon they reach the city proper. Because the Nagas had no legs, there were no stairs to be seen around. Every house was half sunk into the ground. Maybe a primitive way to keep the heat trap inside.

The houses had no windows so to speak. But they did have chimneys on the roofs. Mors could not help how the place was being ventilated when the Nagas still live in this place. At the center of this small Naga town, who may be used to house 500 Nagas. Is a large stone and metal-circular building.

That building is the source of the large ice spike that shoots up to the sky. The Ghost all gathers around what seems to be the town square as Catox started to speak.

"Alright! Good job everyone! Take a rest! We will be planning our next attack on Kraken Heart."

"Yes sir!"

The Ghost said as they started to leave and go to their temporary homes. Ghost was not really that picky, if they have a safe place to mediate, they will survive. Only 4 people were left with Mors. The general, the captain, and two other people Mors can assume are commanders under the general.

"Holy Second Death, for how long will you stay with us?"

"For as long as I need. After I get what I need then I will leave, but I don't mind helping you guys."

Catox breathes a sigh of relief.

"Thank you so much for your goodwill. What are you looking for exactly?"

"[Green Kraken Scales], [Darken Sand], and [Prettified Wood]"

"I see. I know where we can get Kraken Scales for you, but the other two will take a bit longer to find."

"I take it the scales are in that place you guys call Kraken Heart?"

"Haha, yes it is. That is the name of the city that is underneath the island where you meet us"

"Alright"

Catox nods his head as he looks at Izora. As he spoke in a serious tone.

"How many were sent back?"

"28"

"Less than I though"

"Thanks to lord Second Death appearing and summoning those-"

"Copies"

"Copies of himself the casualties were kept to a minimum"

"Uhm, let's pray that they pay their debts."

The general said as the four Ghost put their right hand on their left breast. For some reason, they all turn and face Mors while doing so. Making Mors a bit uncomfortable. But he did not make a sound as he let them pray, he can't go and break the role assigned to him.

After they finish praying. The ghosts started to discuss their course of action.

"We need a way to deal with the Nagas conduits and priest. Their Death magic skills are increasing by the day. It won't be long before they reach the third tier"

"It sucks that the only area of effect of attack we had are the cannons."

"As we lose more Ghost, the number of shots I can do decreases. Now I can only do 44 shots."

"Things are getting desperate. If only we had more num-"

The Ghost commander stop as they all look at Mors.

"I can summon up to 200 copies of myself."

"At what cost?"

"None, as long as I don't get past 200 It won't consume Qi."

"What a powerful skill, no wonder you are Second Death. With that resolve, how do we deal with the Kraken?"

"If we combine Catox, Izora, and Second Death strength, we might be able to take it down."

"How strong is this Kraken?"

Mors could not help but ask.

"It's a fourth-tier evolution of the Naga race."

"So General stage…that might be hard even more for me. Without Zhihui it will be very hard to take it down"

The mood turn serious as the Ghost could not believe what they heard. Even their God, who is in a weakened state could not confidently deal with the Kraken.

"Don't look at me like that, I did tell you all I am here to get stronger."

"Of course- it's just how we deal with a monster of that caliber."

Mors looks at the ice pillar in the middle of the city, a smile surfaces on his face.

'Looks like ice is just the best way to deal with things of a higher stage.'

"I have a suggestion."

Todays chapter, hope you all like it and see you all tomorrow!
