Visits from Sir Luis Family

"What are you looking at?" and that voice really surprised Ren as he was so into looking at Lily. Turns out, the voice was from Lucas.

"Would you knock the door first before you enter?" said Ren as he rolled his eyes and Lucas just smirked without answering him. Then, he found out that Ren was looking at Lily who was talking with Queen in the garden. "No wonder your eyes were glued to the window~" teased Lucas.

"She's looking very cute today." Said Ren playfully. "Dude, she's off limits." Said Ren while giving him a death glare and Lucas laughed at his cousin. "Chill, I know she's yours." Said Lucas. "Come on, my father is waiting for us." Said Ren and Lucas nodded. With that, both of them walked to the King Study room together as they have quite an important thing to discuss.

Once they've reached the King's study room, the three of them had a pretty deep discussion.

"Sir Luis told me he would be visiting the palace tomorrow." said the King.

"He never learn, did he?" said Lucas.

"We just need to treat them right because they're our guest…" said the King.

"Father, you know the real reason they're visiting us, right?" asked Ren. "i know." Said the King. "But why? He only came here just because your health condition isn't stable and all he wants to see is you, lying on the bed incapable of ruling the country." Said Ren. "He's trying to bring our family down just so he could get the throne." Added Ren in furious.

"But at the moment, he wants his daughter to marry Nicholas, Your Majesty. I heard that from my mother." Said Lucas. "Yes, I know their motives…" said Your Majesty. "We've got to do something father. We've got to protect our family, and we've got to protect our throne. Not just a throne, our people, and our country." Said Ren.

"That's why I ordered you to find someone as a partner, and for you to be engaged soon, and once you're married, I'll betrothed you as the King." Said the King. "I know I'm not going to be here longer… I'll be gone soon…. My health condition is worsening… the health treatment that I got at Andalusia just help me trying to ease the pain…" added the King. "The Royal Doctor told me this morning, my cancer are already in stage 3… my lungs aren't functioning well, son." Said the king while caressing his chest.

"Don't worry father, I won't let Sir Luis get the throne." Said Ren.

Meanwhile, right after Lily ended her hi-tea session with the Queen, she straight away went to her chamber to have some rest. While resting, she took out her phone and texted Ren.

"The Hi-tea with your mother was great. I get to learn a lot of her likes and dislikes! Should we have dinner together? I have something to talk with you…"

Lily was waiting for Ren to reply to her text but her phone notification remain quiet. The only text that she got is from Amelia. *perhaps he's busy talking with his father…* pouted Lily. Then, she came out from her chamber to take a walk around the palace. While walking, she stopped by the big balcony in the palace where they can see the sunset. The big balcony was located at the centre of the palace. Therefore, while Lily was standing there, she could see the garden, the horse stable located not too far from the palace and many more.

While Lily was enjoying the view, a familiar voice came from her back.

"Watching the sunset?"

Lily thought it was Ren but when she turned the back of her heels, it was Lucas.

"Oh, Lucas~" said Lily and pouted a bit. "What's with the pout? Thought that im Ren?" asked Lucas as he walk near her with a smile. Lily swear, if she and Ren would have never meet, she would totally fall for his charming smiles. Not just her, all girls.

"Yeah, I wanna talk with him…" said Lily as she turned to her front, watching the sunset. "What do you wanna talk about with him?" asked Lucas. "Is he giving you a hard time here?" asked Lucas again and that made Lily let out her small chuckle.

"No… he's been really nice towards me nowadays… it's just… I missed my family and thought of visiting them this weekend… plus, my new semester is coming soon so I wanna meet them before it starts~" said Lily.

"Oh, about that… yeah, you can just said that to him…. but probably not tonight… should be… tomorrow night? How about that?" suggested Lucas. "Does the talk with the King just now made him stress or something?" asked Lily in worry.

Lucas nodded. "Pretty much." Answered Lucas as he leaned his back against the balcony and crossed his arms. Lily heard he let out a sigh.

"What's wrong?" asked Lily. "We have a visitors tomorrow in the palace. And everyone in the palace hates them." answered Lucas. "It's Sir Luis. He and his family will be visiting us tomorrow. When they're here, if they asked you something, just answer them with a calm face. Best to keep quiet. Alright?" said Lucas. And Lily nodded. "Understood." Said Lily feeling confused. Like, who is Sir Luis and why everyone is hating them, and why Ren and Lucas seems so distressed about them visiting the palace? She has got so many things to learn.

On the next day, all of them are waiting for their guests to arrive. Lily was standing nervously next to Ren, while the Queen was standing next to Ren. As for the King, he was in his chamber not feeling very well for today. Lily noticed the looked on Ren seems so cold, while Lucas, he was having a small talk with the Queen.

Lily tugged on his Royal suits gently and Ren noticed it. He turned to his left and looked at Lily. "What's wrong?" asked Ren loud enough for Lily to hear. "You should stay smile… don't frown and giving that cold look…" said Lily. "I will be here, standing right next to you." Added Lily with a smile. With that, Ren let out his charming smiles too. He was so thankful that Lily was there with him.

While they are having their moments, Sir Luis and his family has entered.

"Your Highness Crown Prince, Your Majesty, Your Highness Prince Lucas, and My lady." Greeted Sir Luis as he bowed towards them together with Madam Rose and their daughter, Lady Sofia Jazmin.

"It's been a while we haven't seen each other, am I right?" asked the Queen.

"Yes, Your majesty… I believe the King isn't well today as he was not here… is it?" asked Sir Luis.

"Father was just resting… he'll greet you during dinner tonight." Answered Lucas.

"Alright, shall we have some brunch together?" said the Queen and she led the way to the dining hall.

All of them were having their brunch together in the dining hall. While the elders are talking with each other, both prince together with Lady Sofia and Lily remained silent. Just as what Lucas told Lily, she was silence all the time. Only if they ask her things, she would only reply with a yes, or no but not to forget her smiles.

"So, Prince Nicholas, I haven't talk to you for a while… "said Lady Sofia as she broke the silence between them. "I'm busy." Answered Ren coldly.

"Yeah, he's busy preparing his engagement day." Added Lucas. At the mention of the engagement, Sofia put down her utensils and turned to look at Lily.

"You mean his engagement with her?" asked Lady Sofia as she raised her eyebrows and looked at Lily in disgust. "She's not just 'her', she's the future Queen Kingdom of Stella and you shouldn't-"and before Ren could finish his lines, Lily touches his hands asking him to stop.

"My name is Lily, Lily Valentina." Smiled Lily.

"Oh yeah, okay." Said Lady Sofia.

"So when is your engagement day, Your Highness?" asked Madam Rose.

"We haven't choose the exact date yet, but it will be before spring starts. Someday in March." Answered Ren and they nodded.

"That soon? We're at the end of February now~" said Lady Sofia. "Yeah, the King wants it to be as soon as possible." Added Lucas and that made Lady Sofia feels irritated by him by giving him an 'I'm not asking you' look. As for Lucas, he was totally enjoying the moment and raised his eyebrows and smirked at her. Both he and Ren knows how brat she is.
