Chapter 43

Jake's POV

"I need an adult."

"I am an adult," Alex said, trying to hold back her laughter catching the TFS reference, she took a seat next to me and put her arm around my shoulder pulling me into a hug.

"What is this?"

"Affection."

"Disgusting...gimme more," I said, giggling and smiling, just generally happy to have this moment with her before tonight. I didn't deserve this kind of happiness, with all the atrocities Jack and I had committed, we deserved nothing more than death itself, and yet, here I was. Getting the one thing I so desperately craved and didn't believe that I deserved. I was brought out of my ocean of negativity by Alex kissing my forehead trying to get my attention.

"Hey, I don't know what's going on inside that pretty little head of yours, but if it's making you sad you better stop. Or imma kick it's ass, and then fuck yours," Alex said with a wink, and based on the glint in her eye, I was blushing a beat red, "You're so cute when your cheeks glow like that, I wonder what it'll look like when your other cheeks are bright red."

"A-Alex!" I stuttered out, just as Jack came out of the restaurant, seeing us on the bench and the redness in my face he had to cover his mouth to stifle a laugh.

"Hey Alex, how's it hanging?"

"Pretty good, I get to flirt with Jake without repercussions, I wonder if you're any more difficult to fluster."

"Oh, you should know I don't blush easy, being hellspawn helps a lot with that," Jack said, but before I could say anything Alex stood up, and her eyes started flickering, "Something tells me that your wolf has something to say to me, Love, what would you say?"

Alex grabbed Jack, pinning him to the wall, and stared at him with a look of either hunger or lust, I couldn't tell. So, I grabbed his hand and we fused back together.

Jacke's POV

We looked Alex in the eyes, and sure enough, her wolf was out and she was hungry, in the best way possible. She looked like an apex predator, cornering a golden fleeced sheep, and all she wanted to do was bite down and 'eat' us.

"Love, you should know I don't back down so easy, and neither do you. Would you mind if I joined you two at your table?"

"Go for it," We said, opening the door for her, and then leading her to where we were seated. Funnily enough, Gloria was there placing our drinks and Jake's Guac at the table. We split and sat back down at the booth, as Alex asked her for a beer and we placed our order.

Jake's POV

"Can I get an order of chicken Chimichangas?"

"Sounds like a plan, Jack?"

"I'll have the triple burrito meal, with another Corona Lite."

"Awesome, and for you, Ma'am?"

"I'll have a thing of chicken Chimis as well, sounds tasty," Alex said with a glint in her, she'd rather have a serving of Jake, but now wasn't the time nor the place. Gloria took the orders and headed towards the kitchens, but on her way over Alex pointed out that Alexis didn't like the vibes she was getting.

"I didn't either, and still don't entirely, but not enough to try and start something. Just leave it be, for now, if something happens, we'll have a good fight on our hands."

"I really don't want to talk about her, guys, both of y'all don't like the vibes you're getting yet you won't act on them. Isn't that a little suspicious?" I asked, and they both looked at me with a look that sad 'Not here, dude, not now'. There was something up, I knew it and they knew it, but we couldn't do anything about it, so, the only option was to leave it be for now.

"Changing topics, love, why'd you go outside? If Jack is here, wouldn't it have been safer to just stay with him?"

"He was on the verge of a panic attack, needed some fresh air; And yes, I know he can speak for himself, but there are certain things that are easier for me to say for him."

"It's also difficult for me to talk about what bothers me in public because for the most part I rely on Jack's confidence to speak what's on my mind, so when we're split it's harder for me to talk, so I usually just pipe down so I'm not really noticed," I said before downing half of my drink, and munching on the guac and chips sitting before me.

"Understandable love, but keep in mind, if you're going to be my Luna there will be moments where you can't rely on Jack to speak for you. It's your mind, you need to speak it yourself, even if Jack is your spirit."

"Yes, Ma'am."

That was all it took for Alex's resolve to crack a little, she was able to hold Alexis back for the most part, but Jake's submissive tendencies and overall innocence made her wild. She wanted nothing more than to take him right there and then, she wanted out, she NEEDED him.

"Pup, you're adorable, and I love you; But don't say that out loud unless you WANT me to rip your close off and ravage you in public," Alex said, and the low tone combined with the seriousness of her wolf broke Jack's resolve, causing him to choke on his drink and almost spit it out. Almost.

"F-fucking hell, Alex! If you wanted to kill me that bad, you should've just asked, I would've started choking myself before we even got back to the booth," Jack said through laughter, passing a wink her way so she knew he was at least partially joking, but Alexis still wanted to see Jack blush.

"If you wanted to choke that badly, love, you could've just asked. I would've pulled it out before I sat down."
