new ship and library

"So what do you think?" Kai asked Sehun who was standing right next to him. They were standing in front of one of the newest spaceship, that just loaded in one of the deck on military headquarter.

"What?" Asked Sehun, he did not quite cope where the conversation goes to.

"I said, what do you think about this babe in here?" Kai stated with annoyance, raising both of his hands to the ship in front of him, as if Sehun already mocked the newest product that came out from his company.

"It's quite small than the previous version. Are you sure it has the entire new device? I'm sure my flying bike won't fit in this." Sehun replied.

"Way too good to say thank you for my hard work Sehun. I'm starting to think for restricting you off this ship. Means? You have to ride that crappy space ship of yours all over the other galaxy." Kai said and furrowed his eyebrow, referring to the old spaceship owned by Sehun that literally too old to fly even to the next planet which was Sehun's hometown.

"No. I'm sorry. Please... she was too old for this travel. I already buried her in the deepest ground along with Yi Fan's jet." Sehun exclaimed panicky.

"And now you're sorry. . . At least show some respect to this piece of art of me right here." Once again Kai raised both of his hands toward the ship. This times it was bothering Sehun. He definitely thought his friend was having some kind of obsessing praise toward the spaceship.

"By the way, how's your mission?" Asked Sehun, causing Kai groaned as if he was in pain.

"Seriously mate. If it is not for the King. I prefer to volunteer myself to join your mission." he said while suddenly looked exhausted. "Senior Suho and Baekhyun were spending their time in the library since last night. Lay was busy in his station teaching his division. And your brother... do you even know where he is? I haven't seen him since last night."

"Home. I have enough of him telling me what I should do and what I should not do. Don't even start to ask what exactly we had been talking about since last night. It was the longest and boring conversation that I ever had in my life." Sehun replied and started to stroke the ship, feeling the cold material under his palm.

"Well. My head feels like it's almost explode. The King wants us to do some research with The Core of Life. Seriously, I don't even know it has a gate and now my mission is to find the key" Kai eyed Sehun who was suddenly turned around to him with a weird expression.

"At least you know what your mission is. We at the don't even know where we will be going, or what we will be doing there. Finding? Experimenting? Killing? What is it that the king wants us to do? We have no clue at all." said Sehun.

Kai didn't replied and that made both of them left in silence. Kai then started to ask him a few things about the ship that Sehun's team would be using for their mission. They did not even realized Yi Fan was watching them from distance, using his precious little time that left watched over his brother before they would be separate for who knew how long.

Baekhyun were almost half asleep as he and Suho were drowning in pile of books in the library. Suho sat in one of the lazy chair, trying to compare two informations that he obtained a few hours ago. His face was half hidden behind the book, and his eyes were glued on the page. Baekhyun tried so hard in order for his half lidded eyes opened. They have to find the new information about the core of life quickly.

Suho being the nerd himself as usual was too drown on his book that he did not even realize Baekhyun's body was already sprawled near his feet.

Baekhyun was too tired from reading. He wished he was now back in his apartment and lying in his own comfortable bed. He started daydreaming and was about to jet off to sleep when suddenly the idea popped up just like a light bulb inside his head.

"Dammit! How could I never think about that?" Baekhyun exclaimed and immediately stood up, causing a few books dropping to the floor. It made a big sound of thud as they hit the floor.

Suho surprisingly just wrinkled his eyebrow a little without taking off his eyes from the books.

"I shouldn't even spend nights in here and reading hundreds of books that doesn't even seem to have slightest information. Oh God I am so stupid." He continued to exclaim and decided to throw his butt on the closest couch.

When he finally sat, he accidently caused a few more books dropping into the floor. This time the voice was louder.

"Just a reminder, all books that you just dropped belongs to the royal family. You can be accused for causing damage to one of the..."Suho started but stopped when he saw Baekhyun rolled his eyes.

"Seriously, Baekhyun I could just stopped the blood that flow into your brain if I want to." Suho growled as he put the book carefully into the drawer beside him and glared to Baekhyun.

"Whoa. Relax brother. I spent my time here like almost every day when I was in Academy. Prince's courtesy. Why did I even can be friend with that cold guy though? Anyway, we definitely throwing book back then, and the King was seemed okay with it." Baekhyun said, trying to defend himself.

"Yeah well, the prince is not here to defending you this time." said Suho.

"Anyway, I just think of the greatest idea. And I don't think I will be here again." Baekhyun ignored Suho's word and changed the topic.

"What are you talking about?"

"You know the King already told us clearly yesterday, two of his ex friends were doing some research 12 years ago right? So, let's just think this way. They were the one who betrayed EXO with The Fergent. And the only thing that they want is the core of life. So I was thinking maybe, the thing that being researched years ago was the same as now. Because, there's no way they could conspire together without giving anything to The Fergent." Baekhyun explained.

"I literally have no idea of what you were saying." Suho said earning a disbelief face from Baekhyun.

"What I am saying is. Why don't we looked up to their research results to find the information instead of locked up in this room for God Sake, I'm tired. "Said Baekhyun. He almost used his light ability to slice up the entire book that piled up beside him.

"How do you know they did the same research as us? They probably were doing other things instead of finding the key."Suho replied dryly and looked to Baekhyun who was stunned. Clearly he didn't think about this possibility.

"I don't know. But at least I want to try, instead of trapping in this room." He scratched his head in frustration. He was just about one step closer for getting out of this room, but Suho now made him torn and hesitate about his own idea.

"Then what are your suggestions?" Suho suddenly asked and Baekhyun immediately jumped from his seat.

"I'll tell you on our way, but first let's get out of here." He practically kicked a huge pile of books and didn't even bother to look back while walking toward the exit door.

"Fine, But let me clean first."Suho started to gathered the books and put them back into the right drawer.

"Let me do it." Baekhyun sighed and flick his hand. Just at that time the room was suddenly dimmed brighter and a few strange lights appeared. It was materialized in a shape of rope and has lots of branches. Each branch went near a book and it started entwined around. There were hundreds of book and it cost Baekhyun almost half a minute before all of them entwined with his light. After that, he flicked his hand once again and all of the light branches were lifting up the book and went back to their places.

Baekhyun just smiled happily when he notice Suho watched in awe. It only cost him another half minute and all hundred of books were already back to the drawer. He turned around and faces Suho who was looking at him curiously, wanting some explanation.

"You did not just do it."Suho said still in shock.

"You obviously saw me do it. In case you were blind, you will deny what just happened." He replied with a smirk.

"But how?"

"I only figure this kind of ability a year ago, but it still not perfect. Being in level 5 is a hard work, because no one can teach you what to do with your ability since the old general already passed away and couldn't teach me. But then I remember the way you could lift things up with water without even wetting it. That's why I practiced a lot and voila." He smiled widely and Suho just watched him.

"Right, sometimes I just forgot you are a General too. Please start act like one; I'm sure it would be better." He chuckled and they both walked out from the room. As they were about to close the door, Baekhyun raised his finger and all lights were turned off.

"Okay now where are we going?" asked Suho.

"Well, I got to call the rich kid." Baekhyun clicked a few times on his device, looking for one name. Tao.
