Arrival at the Town

Landbrug town

The town itself is not very developed, because it mainly focuses on agriculture and it's also a main attraction for merchants. 

Crops which are grown here are of excellent quality due to the water coming directly from the mountain and soil in this land being very fertilised. 

The merchants not only sell crops to royal capital and other towns but also sell crops to neighborhood kingdoms at higher prices. 

There are Houses and shops made by wood at sideways of the roads which are clean, fresh lakes are there's which flowing through farms, trees near the planted in various places throughout the Town. 

There are Various fields where crops are grown, people are seen working with farming tools which are actually mana tools making their work easier and faster. 

There is a Church located at the corner of the town, normally the church should be empty except for people who live in the church but today the church is busy because of the awakening day. People come to church for donations and pray to God for their children. 

At the center of the Town, there was a tower which is the building made up of stone in the entire Town. This tower is called the awakening tower where the ceremony for awakening is conducted every year. The awakening towers are built in every town and in the royal capital.

The Town itself looks very peaceful.

At 11:00 am, 

Ron now just entered the Town, first he moves towards the shop where he regularly sells his herbs and other materials. 

The shop itself is not very big, it is a small shop with only one floor; the shop was near the entrance, so it was also easy to sell the materials quickly. 

Ron quickly gets to the entrance of the shop and sees an old man with white beard about 65 years old sitting on the chair with closed eyes and a very kind aura. 

The one unique advantage he gets is aura, he can tell the intentions of the other parties just seeing their aura. 

The old man is one of the few people who treated him and his sister very well and always gave them a proper price for materials. 

He was left alone in his family, so he considered him as his own grandchild. 

"Hey grandpa, how are you doing?" Ron greets the old man. 

Old man opened his eyes, looked at the boy and said "ohh it's you …..I am doing great, tell me kid which item did you come to sell today?"

Ron was his regular supplier, so he recognised him right away, the old man also gave Ron some extra money for the items because of the fact he and his sister don't have anyone to. Depend on. 

"Herbs grampa, here look at this" Ron opens his bag, takes out a grass bundle with vines bound on it and passes it to the old man. 

Old man takes the bundle and open the vines and smile "hohoho~ fresh 9 And 8 grade herbs, not bad kid" 

In this world herbs, weapons, potions and other items are classified into nine different grades. The lower the grade rank the more powerful effect they can apply. 

Herbs can be used for various things like making medicine, potions, and food. So the demand for herbs never declined. 

"Here take this kid" The old man gave him a closed cloth bag. 

Ron opens the bag to see that there are many coins in it "This is too much money for my materials, please take it back, grampa" Seeing the money, his eyes wide open and tries to return it. 

After all, he gave him 50 copper coins instead of 30 copper coins, which is really too much for peasants. 

The money system in this world is like- 

1 Copper coin = 2 pieces of bread

100 copper coins = 1 silver coin

100 silver coins = 1 gold coin

100 gold coins = 1 emerald coin

By having 1 silver coin, a normal family can live 1 month without worrying about food. 

Old man shook his head and replied "today is your mana tool awakening right? Take it as your gift from this old man alright"

"Even so, this is really too much, I can't accept this" Ron still insists on returning because he knows how difficult it is for him to work at that age but the old man doesn't show any sign of budging. 

"If you really feel bad about it then, just think of it as an investment of mine for you, when you become powerful in the future then you can return this in future…..Ohh of course if only you have confidence in yourself right?" Old man grinned as he grabbed the boy's weakness.

"Bu-t....sign…fine i will do my best" He tries to be reluctant but in the he gives up, he well knows how stubborn this old man can be. 

"Good, by the way I noticed you came alone, did your sister not come with you?" Old man asked as he notice this. 

"No, sister has something important to do, so she can't come," Ron said this while avoiding eye contact with the old man.

Ron has a fault which is he can't tell a lie with eye to eye contact. 

"it's that so, that's unfortunate" Seeing Ron doesn't want to answer this, he didn't continue to ask. 

After talking for 5 minutes, Ron said goodbye to the old man and started to walk towards his next destination. 

He starts walking on a straight path while glancing at the everywhere and there. 

wooden houses, farms, sunlight, breeze, children's laughter making him relax; he suddenly glanced at a beautiful house which was bigger than the rest of the houses. 

The lowest rank Nobility family lives there, which is incharge of this Town. 

Ron just gives a glance then leaves, he keeps walking, reaching in front of the church.

Church is located in little isolated area, nearby was only farms and dry land. 

Usually the church should be empty but today the church was busy because today parents are coming here to pray for their children to awaken powerful mana tools for their future. 

He moves towards the backyard of the church and comes in front of the back door. 

*knock* *knock* *knock*

"Coming" With that voice the door was opened by a 12 year old girl.

The girl has short brown hair down to her shoulders with light brown eyes, fair skin, baby-like face and she is the same height as Ron, she overall is a cute girl. 

"Oh it's you, come" Girl saw the boy but didn't show any joyful emotions.

"Hey Mary, how are you doing?" Ron asked as he patted her head and came in. 

"Hmph, I am doing amazing without you" Mary snorted lightly as she removed his hand and said this without any mercy. 

Ron didn't take it to his heart after all, he knew she didn't mean it. 

He can tell by her aura she is rather kind but she didn't show it on the surface. 

The church was not in good condition; the walls were cracked, paint was very dry, windows were broken and the furniture was neither in good condition.

"Big bro! " "Big bro!" 

Suddenly two kids around 7 years old came running towards him as soon as they saw him. 

Ron, seeing two heads hugging his stomach, couldn't help but smile and hug them back "how are you doing mush, mark"

""We are doing fine, big bro"" They responded at the same time. 

"Good, see what I have brought for you" He says as soon as he separates himself from the help then opens the bag and takes out the fruits in both of the hands which he harvested in the morning. 

Seeing their big bro bring them a gift, they could help but feel extremely excited. They stretch their small arms, grab each fruit, and show a big smile while showing their white teeth. 

""Love you, big bro!!"" Then they make him bend, then kiss each of his cheeks, then start to eat with their small mouth while they run towards the other room. 

The aura of children always is like blank white paper, he assumes as they grow up their aura will also show according to their living environment. 

"I still can't understand what they loved about you" Mary sneered as she commented this from back. 

"Maybe I am more amazing than you" Ron replies this with a grin on his face. 

"What did you say?!?!" She said as she raised her fist and started concentrating mana on her fist. 

Seeing this, he started to sweat "n-no no, I mean that there is no more amazing person than you"

Even though Ron trains daily, nonetheless a person with mana can easily increase their power by 4 to 5 times. 

"Hmph, that's more like it" Seeing him behave, she lowered her fist with satisfaction. 

"When did you come here?" Mary asked the question after a few seconds. 

"Probably 30 minutes ago" Ron answered this roughly as he was talking to the old man and lost track of time a little bit. 

"D-Did sister Helen not come with you?" Mary asked this with some hesitation in her tone. 

Ron raised his eyebrow at this, even Helen only came to this town only a few times with him, but she completely managed to tame this wild tongue girl. 

Even he didn't know how she managed to do this. 

Helen comes to Church because it's located at the corner of the town, and it's basically an isolated area, so she can come here without any worries by the back door.
