The Boy's Dream - Part 2

"Stay away from me... I didn't do anything... I swear…" Desperation almost made the words catch in his throat.

At this moment, something gently glowed on the boy's chest. This light came from the crystal on his necklace. Then, in the sky just above him, a huge magical circle appeared, featuring a flower with various shades of blue at its center. Subsequently, small petals of light began to fall on that place, resembling a radiant rain with the scent of spring.

When the petals touched the corpses, they disappeared, leaving behind only a light dust of an unpleasant odor.

Unaware of what this was, the boy feared the same would happen to him and tried to flee. But he only felt a pleasant aroma when one of them struck him, and his heart was warmed and soothed by a warm energy. For this reason, he stopped running and observed the flower again.

Sometime later, the flower shone intensely, much like a summer sun. The boy closed his eyes to avoid being blinded by the light, and suddenly, it became so quiet without the screams of the corpses. He felt a warm breeze blowing against his face, but it carried only a gentle scent of spring flowers. Curious, he opened his eyes and found himself facing a sunny day with few clouds across the vast blue sky.

The fear from before was gradually fading away. Now the boy was even more confused, as his eyes beheld an expanse of ground covered with green grass, small woods with trees of vibrant shades of blue and white, and flowers of magnificent colors radiating their own brilliance. There were also floating mountains with waterfalls so high that the water seemed to fall from the clouds. It was a landscape as beautiful as it was surreal.

He looked around, but in this new place, he saw no corpses. He was relieved by that, but no less confused. Why was he there? What kind of dream was this, after all?

As his mind entered a state of deep confusion, a person appeared floating just above him. She had a very different appearance from the previous figure, as she was a young woman with beautiful features. Her short, slender body displayed gentle curves, and she was covered only by a white dress. Her skin had a lovely tan, while her radiant white hair flowed in the wind. Her expressive eyes emitted a golden light and conveyed kindness.

In the same way it had happened with the strange masked figure, the woman seemed somehow familiar to the boy. Her smile was enchanting, and he couldn't take his eyes off her for even a second.

"They won't harm you here."

The woman's mouth didn't move, except for her warm smile, but her words somehow invaded his mind. The person before him didn't seem to be a normal human, the boy thought. So, what could she really be?

"Who are you?" he finally asked. "Do you know where I am? What happened to those people from before?"

The woman continued to smile as she listened to his various questions. However, she didn't answer any of them. When he realized this, the boy stopped talking and stared into her eyes, growing somewhat frustrated.

There was a scroll lost through the ages. No words contained within it were written anywhere else; even its existence was denied in this world. Its writings would contain all truths and all lies, from the first principles to the final end — for life was an endless cycle of birth and death. It was so in all worlds governed by the Great Father.

And whoever possessed the scroll would have undeniable access to the past and the future. They would know how many drops of water existed in every ocean. They would be acquainted with the names of all the stars that lit up the skies and their paths. They would have the secrets behind enchanted words at their fingertips. They would taste all kinds of flavors and experience every scent, from the sweetest to the most unpleasant. They would master all elements. They would know the wishes and fears of all living creatures. Lastly, they would have control over good and evil, the two forces that governed the destinies of all.

Only one person could have this scroll, and perhaps they would have the worst of all destinies.

These pieces of information entered his mind without him knowing where they came from. Then he continued to stare at the woman, unable to hide his confusion.

A scroll?

"When the time comes, don't be afraid. Remember the good things you lived and those people... they will show you your true essence."

The woman's voice invaded his mind again. Even more confused, the boy tried to approach her, but his feet didn't move. No matter how hard he tried, his body seemed frozen in place. He also realized he couldn't speak anymore.

Suddenly, the woman with white hair's feet touched the ground, and she approached the boy with an even warmer smile. She put her hand on his hair and tenderly caressed it for a long time. He couldn't stop staring at her, as if he were enchanted by her. He remained fascinated by the golden glow in her eyes. He loved the woman's affection so much that soon his heart beat gently in his chest, his eyelids felt heavier, and he closed his eyes and fell asleep in her arms.

"I'm sorry... for making you go through all of this," she said lovingly. "But you are the only one who can save them..."

Then she moved a finger, a blue flower of energy formed near the boy's face and landed on his forehead, where it shone and disappeared.

"This will protect you for now," she continued. "But I will always be by your side. Don't forget that..."

At this moment, the brown-haired boy could no longer hear her voice. He was no longer there either because his dream — or nightmare — had finally ended. And now he slept restlessly in the enormous bed next to the red-haired boy.

This dream never repeated itself, and with the passage of time, the memories of it were forgotten by the boy's mind. However, the woman's face and smile still existed within him, in a deep and well-guarded part of his heart, waiting, perhaps, for the day when all truths could be revealed.
