Dining Room Meeting

Jason was relaxing in his room, when he heard a knock on the door. He opened the door, and saw the short brown-haired boy standing by his door.

"Hello, Harris-Kun..." the short brown-haired boy said in an awkward tone, clearly uncomfortable.

"Hello..." Jason said and stopped mid-sentence, indicating that he doesn't know his name.

"Ah! That's right! I never introduced myself! My name is Makoto Naegi!" said Makoto

"And what is your talent?" asked Jason curiously

"Well... I don't have any actual talent. I'm here as the Ultimate Lucky Student. Hope's Peak Academy is doing an annual nationwide draw and the one who was selected will be the Ultimate Lucky Student, and I was selected this year..." said Makoto sheepishly

"So they consider luck as a talent? I expected more from the prestigious Hope's Peak Academy. Luck is just a series of statistics and probabilities, but I can't hold it against you. Anyway, Makoto- Do you feel comfortable if I were to call you Makoto? I know that the Japanese aren't usually calling each other with their first names, but it'll take me some time to get used to calling everybody with their last names..."

"It's okay! Don't worry about it!"

"Thanks. Anyway, as I was saying, Makoto, for what did you come here for?"

"We are having a meeting in the dining room, to share what we all found out, and I volunteered to call you"

"You volunteered?" asked Jason in mild surprise

"Yes, I still feel like I need to thank you for what happened in the gym..."

"And I said that you don't need to. **Sigh** Whatever, let's go to that meeting of yours" Jason said and started to go to the dining room, with Makoto closely following him.

As he arrived at the dining room, he saw everyone there when suddenly he was approached by the uptight black-haired.

"It is very rude to make others wait for you!!"

Jason's eyebrow twitched, as he had enough with this guy, and decided to put him in his place.

"First of all, how am I supposed to know that you're having a meeting if no one told me about it?

Second, there is no obligation for me to attend this meeting, as I haven't made any promise to do so, and it's your problem if you decided to wait.

Lastly, I doubt that you'll speak on something that I haven't noticed, so this meeting is a waste of time for me. And yet, here I am. So instead of yelling on me, shut up and be grateful that I'm here.

I don't know who you think you are, but you have no right to order me around. If you continue to try and order me around, you'll make an enemy out of me, and that's the last thing you want right now. Now, be quiet and let's start this meeting already" Jason said and sat at the corner of the table where everyone sat, leaving the uptight black-haired shocked behind him

"Anyway... I think we need to start the meeting..." said Leon, trying to lighten up the mood

"Y-You're right! Let's all share what we found out during our respective explorations!" said the recovered uptight black-haired

"My group and I mainly investigated the dining room. We have plenty of food and water and on addition, the food restocks daily, at least according to Monokuma" said the uptight black-haired

"But can we trust that thing?" asked the optimistic girl

"We don't have a choice but to do so. For now, all we can do is take his word for it" said the lavender haired girl

"Well, me and Chihiro investigated the dorm rooms..." said (fake) Junko

"Y-Yes. E-Each person has a room, and all of them were already assigned, seeing that there are nameplates on each of the rooms' doors, displaying the owner of the room" said the short light brown-haired girl, who Jason deduced was Chihiro

"The keys to the rooms were hanging on the handle. Additionally, each room has items and materials that are unique to our talents. The rooms are also totally soundproof" said (fake) Junko

"The rooms also come with a clean shower, with a lock. Although, it seems only girls' rooms have them" said Chihiro

"Well, we tried to see if we can force open the iron platings or maybe even the main entrance door, but…" said Mondo

"Nothing, man. Neither the platings or the door wouldn't budge so much as a centimeter" said Leon

"Our team went to search if there was a way to communicate to the outside, But we didn't find anything..." said the optimistic girl, in a less optimistic tone than usual.

"Afterwards, we tried to help to Owada-Kun and Kuwata-Kun with the main entrance. Even with all of us together, that main door still wouldn't budge" said Makoto

"There's another thing. While it didn't have anything with our communication attempts, we saw that the stairs near the gym and dining room were blocked off. Maybe on the upper floors, there will be a means of escape or communication" said Sakura

"I tried to see if I could find out something about the mastermind, but I came up empty-handed..." said Byakuya

"That's it?" the uptight black-haired asked

"If I would've found anything, I would've said it"

Then, the lavender haired girl put the blueprint Jason found earlier on the table silently

"Huh? What's this?" asked Makoto

"It appears to be a map of Hope's Peak Academy" said the lavender haired girl

"Where did you find it???" asked the uptight black-haired

"It doesn't matter where I found it"

"It DOES matter!!! You're freaking us out!!!" shouted the uptight black-haired

"I told you to be quiet, didn't I? You're the one who's freaking everybody out with your shouting" Jason said, successfully shutting him up

"Never mind that. What does it mean?" asked (fake) Junko

"Just look at it. The building we're here right now is structured the same as in the map" said the lavender haired girl

"So you're saying we're in Hope's Peak Academy?" asked Sakura

"In terms of its structure, yes. However, there seem to be several modifications made to the building"

'Not only she managed to find the map, but she also managed to figure out that it has the same structure as this place... she's smart. Maybe she'll be able to challenge me in a game...' thought Jason

"Modifications?" asked Makoto

"I don't know all of the details yet. All I found was the details about the 1st floor"

"So, we're really in Hope's Peak Academy? We weren't kidnapped or taken to some other place..." asked Chihiro

"But, if this is Hope's Peak Academy, where are the other students?" asked Sayaka

"Come on, guys... let's stop talking about all of this negative stuff..." said the idiot

"But, aren't you worried about the situation?" asked Leon

"Worried? Why should I be worried? This is all an act of the people in charge of Hope's Peak Academy! We just need to chill and everything will work itself out!" said the idiot and laughed

"Harris-Kun, did you find out anything worth mentioning?" Celestia asked, to Jason's surprise

"Why the hell are you asking him!? There's no way that he'll tell us anything!" shouted Mondo

"Well, I thought that I'll ask for the opinion of the smartest person among us. I'm sure that he found out something" said Celestia

"Well, including everything that you guys mentioned, I don't have anything to add except for two things. I did manage to figure out two things pretty important" said Jason

"Why didn't you tell us???" asked Leon

"You didn't ask" asked Jason with an apathetic expression

"What did you figure out?" asked the lavender haired girl

"It's regarding what I asked the bear. I asked him whether someone will immediately be able to leave if he kills someone. After reading Rule No. 6, I understood something. Even if someone were to kill, he wouldn't be able to leave, because there is no way that untrained amateur killers like all of us will be able to kill someone without being found out.

So, if someone already planned to kill, or if the thought will ever cross your mind, know that even if you do, you won't be able to leave, as you won't be able to kill without being found out

Another thing is that the mastermind has to be someone with a lot of resources and influence, enough to overtake one of the most famous schools in the whole world and use it for a killing game, without any outside interference. To be able to pull off something like this, you have to have resources and influence of the same amount as a whole country. There aren't a lot of people who fall into this category.

Furthermore, even if the bear is an AI, the most advanced AIs still require some input, especially with a machine as advanced as this bear, which rules out the option that one of us is the mastermind since, at the opening ceremony, I was sitting at the back, facing at an angle where I could see all of you, and I didn't see any of you make any movements that might suggest one of you was controlling the bear" explained Jason

"And how do we know that you aren't the mastermind?" asked Mondo, who seems to still hold a grudge against Jason

"When I asked the question, and the bear answered me, did someone see me doing any suspicious movements?" asked Jason

"Why would you think that someone was paying attention to your movements!?" asked Mondo

"I didn't notice anything suspicious" said the lavender haired girl

"Me too" said Celestia

"Is that enough for you?" asked Jason and sent a cold glare at Mondo

"Tch" was Mondo's answer, and he sat down

"Well, seeing that I've heard what you found, and I've said my part, I'll take my leave now" Jason said and left
