28 D-Day(Pt. 2)

Ian looked at the clock on his phone screen. It's now five o'clock in the afternoon, which means that about two hours is left for him to meet Soo Young. He was still looking for a way not to give her to Emma. He was genuinely frustrated this time. If time could be repeated, he would like to go back to exactly 2005, the day he learned of his mother's true identity. He chose to die at his mother's hands.

Dead? Should he end his life?

Thinking along those lines makes Ian think of Jung Yoon Hee. He remembered that yesterday he was determined to make Yoon Hee his friend so that he could protect the girl. He don't know why his heart really wants to protect Yoon Hee from Emma's target. The woman cannot be known to Emma. At least if Yoon Hee succeeds in making a friend, Emma will definitely never touch her like she didn't touch Yoo Ri and Min Jee, who in reality have beautiful looks.

"Our material is here," said the male lecturer in front of them, making all his students immediately enter his writing instruments. "Next week we will take a quiz on this subject."

The announcement of the quiz suddenly made all the students complain, except Ian, who seemed not to care. Seeing his students complain like that, the lecturer just laughed a little.

"See you next week," said the lecturer before finally exiting the classroom, followed by students who started out of the classroom.

Ian sat in his place. He was waiting for everyone to come out so he wouldn't have to jam the door. The young man sighed; after this, he had no more classes. It looks like he's going to go home, take a shower, and... go to Soo Young's house? Or just sleeping at home?

Soo Young's apartment

Lee Soo Young Cook smiles as she listens to her favorite song performed by a famous soloist. She is currently cooking steak, which is the main course of her dinner with Ian. The sound of the doorbell ringing makes Soo Young stop her cooking activities. She turned off the stove to see who was coming. As she walked toward the door, she saw a wall clock that had not shown seven o'clock. She thought Ian had arrived sooner.

She looked at the intercom for a moment to see who was coming. A smile flashed across his face when she saw Ian's face. She immediately opened the door for her guests.

"You came early, even though the cooking is not finished," Soo Young said as she invited her guests in.

"The sooner the better," Ian replies as he walks into Soo Young's apartment.

"Sit down first. The food will be ready soon," said Soo Young, who stood back in front of the stove, finishing the steak that was about to be ready.

According to Ian, the young man was sitting at the dining table. She couldn't take her gaze away from Soo Young, who was preparing a dinner. The girl looks beautiful in a pink dress, which suits her perfectly.

"You look beautiful tonight," was Ian's praise, which made Soo Young blush immediately.

"Thank you for the compliment," Soo Young replied.

After waiting for a few minutes, Soo Young's steak was finally ready. The woman immediately served it on a plate, accompanied by vegetables such as small potatoes that she sauteed with sesame oil, then carrots and asparagus. After serving the steak on the dining table, Soo Young picks up a wine glass, puts it on the table as well, and leaves. She opened a small cupboard, which caught Ian's attention.

"It turned out to have a treasure trove of delicious things," Ian said as he looked at the contents of the cupboard, a variety of alcoholic beverages. He doesn't know if Soo Young collects various types of alcoholic beverages.

"Precious treasure," Soo Young replied after picking up a bottle of wine and putting it on the table. He took off the apron attached to his body and hung it in its original place. "Well, let's eat."

Ian took a sip of the wine after he finished Soo Young's steak. The food was very delicious, especially since Soo Young cooked it to perfection, a level of doneness that he really likes. Ian glances at Soo Young, who is enjoying the chocolate pudding. The bead then shifted towards the dinner knife on the table; unknown to Soo Young, he took the object and moved from his seat.

"Where are you going?" Soo Young asked as she saw Ian move from his seat.

"I want to give you a gift," Ian replied as he walked towards Soo Young with the knife he was carrying.

"Gifts? What gift?" Soo Young seems curious about it. He was about to look back where Ian was already, but Ian held him back and again made his body face forward. "I'm curious about---"

Soo Young's speech is interrupted because Ian quickly slashes the knife right at Soo Young's neck. Fresh blood immediately oozed from the woman's neck and even splashed on Ian's face. Soo Young's body finally collapses to the floor, but she still has consciousness.

With a faint look, the woman looked at Ian, who was also watching her. A drop of tears came out from the corner of Soo Young's eyes. I didn't know Ian would do that. The next second, Soo Young completely loses consciousness.

Younggu Apartment

With carefree footsteps Kim Jae Mi walks into the neighborhood of her apartment with Soo Young. The girl even kindly greeted a security officer who was watering the plants. Not only did she greet the security guard, she also greeted other apartment residents who passed her. It is not uncommon for her to talk for a while with a familiar resident. Jae Mi, who was already in front of the elevator, immediately pressed the up arrow button. There was no need to wait long for the elevator door to finally open and enter immediately because the elevator happened to be empty.

Jae Mi presses her goal floor. "I can't wait to see Soo Young. What were they doing last night?" she murmured as she watched the numbers continue to move up until they finally stopped on the floor of her destination.

Just like when she entered the apartment, the girl Kim was walking again with a cheerful step, and even now she was humming a song. As soon as she arrives in front of her apartment with Soo Young, she immediately enters the password for her door.

"Soo Young! I came home, and I also brought...."

When the door opens, Jae Mi's speech comes to a halt as her sense of smell detects the strong fishy scent of blood. Feeling suspicious, soon the woman with the last name Kim entered her apartment without even taking off the shoes she wore. Her body collapses when she sees Soo Young's bloodied body lying on the floor. Moreover, there is a gaping hole in the woman's chest.

"Lee Soo Young!"
