Half beast life

After the fight was over, two half beasts dragged me into a prison. In a large room, there were many prisons lined up, in the prison, I saw a lot of half beast. My prison location was at the corner.

"Hey kid, looks like you're new here."

Someone who was in the prison next to me called out to me. Even though, I couldn't see him now, but I saw him when I entered this prison. If I'm not mistaken, the person next to me was a half beast with the form of a rat-man.

"That's right, until now, I'm still confused about where this place really is."

I decided to pretend that I didn't know what was going on. However, I couldn't possibly tell him, how stupid I was to enter the barrier where the half-beast den had been developed by the Black Rat. That's right, half of me regretted my choice to enter the barrier, right now, I couldn't even guess if I can get out of this place.

The rat-man explained in detail about the combat system here. Knowing that there was a lot of distance from my second fight gave me some relief. Even though the fight stimulated my strength to grow, but the risk was just as big. I was hoping that Leon or Clarissa could find a way to get me out of this place.

I then learned the big picture of the half beast life within the barrier. At the beginning of the time, the Black Rat brought them here, there were many people who refused and kept trying to escape, so in the early years the Black Rat acted very decisively by killing many people who disobeyed him.

But slowly the half beast finally accepted their new life and identity. After that, a change appeared after geniuses and strong half beast like Zwein started to distinguish his status from others. The other half beasts then got together and became subordinates to strong people like Zwein while the weakest turned into slaves in the organization.

Therefore, within the barrier there were five groups according to the Black Rat's five subordinate pillars. Of course, there was half beast like Leon who didn't follow anyone. Their daily life was about practicing, enjoying entertainment, dueling between groups and so on.

One of the things that surprised me was how things were inside the barrier recently. Derold told me that according to the rumors circulating, some of the Black Rat's subordinate pillars had been cooperating in plotting to seize power from the Black Rat's hands. After all, although the Black Rats played an important role in rebuilding this half beast group, but the Black Rats himself was not half beast.
