Accident

Wilson got home and went straight to his parents' apartment. He knocked and knocked, but nobody answered.

He was wondering where his parents could have gone by this time of night. He brought out his phone and discovered he already had ten missed calls. He quickly checked who the caller was; it was his dad. He saw a message hanging. It was his dad too. He already knew that something was up. He clicked on the message and shouted. "What?"

He quickly rushed back to his car and drove dangerously out of the compound. He got to the hospital and asked for the ward her mother was in. He entered there and saw his father sitting quietly beside his mother. His mother, too, was sleeping peacefully.

"Daddy! I'm sorry, my phone was silent. I just saw your missed calls. What happened to my mum? " He said curiously as he rushed to where her mother was.

"She fell from the stairs. Thank God, it wasn't serious," Mr. Benson said calmly.

"Mum, sorry, you will be fine," he said without talking to anyone in particular.

Wilson faced his dad and asked if he had eaten and if there was food for his mum to eat when she woke up. His dad nodded in reply.

He quickly rushed out to a nearby restaurant and got there just as they were about to leave.

He bought fried rice and chicken for the three of them.

Before Wilson comes back from the restaurant, his mother is awake. When he got to the ward, he was happy that his mother had sat up. He quickly helped her to sit properly and asked if she was fine now. He apologized that his phone was out, which was why he could not come on time.

His mother replied that she is fine now. And she could go home that night if the doctor discharged her. Wilson objected that he should rest till the following day.

He brought out the food and gave his first taste. He quickly opened it and dipped a spoon in it. His mother felt reluctant to eat. As he was about to feed his mother, his mother smiled and collected the spoon from him. She started eating.

Wilson gave his dad a plate of fried rice, and he also ate his food. He delivered the message about the company to his dad. And his dad commended him for a job well done.

Wilson told his dad to go home so that he could take care of his mum. His father objected at first, but later decided to go.

He remembered Sophia and checked the time. It was already midnight.

He decided to text her and tell her what made him unable to call when he got home and that he missed her calls too.

Wilson sat on the chair next to her mum after he had helped her to sleep well in the bed.

Mrs. Benson thanked her sons for being so caring and prayed for a good wife for him.

Not long after Wilson's phone began to ring, he thought of who the person could be. He smiled broadly as he saw the name of the caller. He asked his mum whether his sisters were aware of the incident, but his mother said no. He told his mum that it was his sister in the UK that was calling him. His mother sat upright herself, but she didn't know where the strength came from.

"Pick the call. I want to use the restroom. "Pick the call," she said as she stood up and went to the restroom.

Her son was surprised that his mum was already walking smartly.

"Hello sis, How are you over there? " Wilson said happily,

"Bro! I'm fine, but how are his dad and mum? They would have slept by now, "Joy said.

"They are fine. I will tell them that you called. Maybe tomorrow you will speak with them."

Before Wilson could say any other things, his mother signaled to him that she wanted to speak with her daughter. Wilson but to hand over the phone to his mother.

"My daughter, How are you over there? I'm fine too here" Mrs. Benson said happily as she continued with her question with her daughter.

"When are you bringing your husband? I want to carry my grandsons and daughter. " Mrs. Benson said calmly.

Her daughter replied to her. She also told Wilson she was not yet serious about the relationship.

Wilson just smiled and as the thought of Sophia crossed her mind, he smiled to himself.

Mrs. Benson was still speaking joyfully with her daughter when the doctor got in. The doctor was surprised that only God could do that because she could not walk when he checked on her.

The doctor stated that he would examine her.

Wilson quickly collected his phone. His sister asked if they were in the hospital because she heard about a check-up. Wilson told her nothing to worry about because they were in the hospital. He consoled his sister that if their mum was not fine, it would have shown in her voice.

Wilson's sister later called back to check on her mother. The doctor told Wilson that his mother was okay and that they could go the following day.

Wilson was very happy as he heard the news. His mother dozed off, and Wilson sat on a chair watching his mother. He didn't know when he slept off. He was woken up by the greeting of a nurse who entered to check on his mum.

"She can go home now, but allow her to rest for a few days before doing any strenuous work," the nurse announced.

Wilson quickly jumped up from his seat and checked the time; it was already in the morning. He quickly arranged their belongings and they left the hospital.

Wilson got to his room and laid down on the bed. Before long, he fell asleep.

The ringing of his phone woke him after some minutes. He smiled as he saw the name of the person calling him.

"Hello, thanks for yesterday," he heard from the other end.
