First of all, we need to make Eve forgive us so we can be able to use her to get close to Charles and when we achieve that, we take care of her immediately because we can't afford to miss out being the in- laws to the Powell family." George said.

"Yes our daughter is the rightful wife to Charles Powell" Sofia said smiling slyly.

There was a knock on the door and George secretary comes in.

"Sir there is problem" the secretary said.

"What is it?" George asked frowning.

His secretary moved forward and hands him the tablet in his hand to him; when he saw the headlines in of the news he almost fainted.

"When did this happen?" He shouted looking at his secretary and his wife.

"This morning sir" his secretary said and George looked at his wife and asked her;

"Why didn't you tell me about this in time?" George shouted angrily at his wife.

"I didn't think it was that important" Sofia said shrugging her shoulders as if it was nothing serious.

"What! How can you say this is nothing serious?" George said and through the tablet in front of her.

Sofia's eyes bulge out as if it would come out of their sockets. She didn't think the media would see the situation like this.

"I.. I am sorry for not telling you" Sofia said now on the verge of crying.

"Sorry for yourself! Just pray this matter is resolved early before it brings any damage to the company" he faces his secretary and said, "use all possible means to get this news down immediately."

"Yes sir" his secretary said and bows down and leaves the office.

George sat down on his chair and started thinking, "we need to patch things up with Eve as soon as possible" he thought as he hits the table with his fingers.

At JK corporation...

The company's canteen...

"Isn't this the lady that attacked you the other day at the mall?" Sue asked pointing her phone at Eve to look at her phone, turns out she s reading the news.

"Yes" Eve said sighing. Since she stepped foot into the company in the morning other workers were looking at her with some having the look of envy, some respect while some disgust obviously they are thinking she seduced their boss.

"Oh... So it turns out that she is your cousin" Sue said, she and Nars nodded their head.

"But what's with the news of you been the original heir to Devan corporation?" Nars asked and Sue agreed with his question.

"Well, my dad was the person who started the company but he died mysteriously and my uncle took over because I was still young and unable to take over but when I got to a legal age he refused to handover but instead he said I was ungrateful instead" Eve said.
