Chapter 53: Fu Tingshu Hits Someone

Meng Ning felt a sudden impulse to reach out and pinch Fu Tingxiu's cheek. He was just too adorable. And she actually did it. When she reached out and pinched his cheek, she was shocked at herself. Fu Tingxiu was equally stunned, not expecting Meng Ning to pinch his cheek.

Their eyes met, and time seemed to stand still. She stared at his handsome face and sexy thin lips, feeling a dryness in her mouth and an urge to kiss him.

"Okay," Meng Ning responded, diving into her food with enthusiasm. Fu Tingxiu was very considerate, occasionally serving her dishes. By the end of the meal, Meng Ning was full to the point of hiccuping.

She ate an entire bowl of bird's nest soup and was so full she had to rub her stomach. As they descended the stairs, Fu Tingxiu supported her. Seeing her rubbing her stomach as she walked, Fu Tingxiu smiled and said, "Don't eat like that next time. It's okay to leave some food; don't overstuff yourself."

The food had been so delicious that Meng Ning couldn't help but overeat, reluctant to waste any. Meng Ning laughed, "This is nothing. Once, Qin Huan and I went to a buffet and ate for three hours. We had to hold onto the walls when we left. I have good digestion; I'll feel better soon."

"There are still twenty minutes before the movie starts. How about I walk with you in the plaza to help you digest?" The cinema was right next to the restaurant, so there was no need to drive.

"Sure," Meng Ning agreed, rubbing her stomach. She hung her purse around Fu Tingxiu's neck and walked freely. The dignified billionaire CEO had been reduced to carrying his wife's bag.

Fu Tingxiu's smile deepened as he went to the cashier to pay the bill. Meng Ning stepped out of the restaurant first to get some fresh air. As she descended the steps, she saw someone she didn't want to see.

A few meters away, Gu Changming was standing with a few middle-aged men, chatting happily. Gu Changming had also come to this restaurant for a meal and was now preparing to see his clients off.

Seeing Gu Changming's sudden change in attitude, Meng Ning naturally didn't treat him kindly either.

"Meng Ning, still so stubborn even now," Gu Changming sneered. "Playing hard to get too much will backfire. I still have feelings for you."

"Gu Changming, every word you say is disgusting," Meng Ning replied. Not wanting to waste words with him, she walked down the steps in another direction.

As Gu Changming stepped forward to grab Meng Ning, before his hand could touch her, it was pulled away by a strong force. Fu Tingxiu, with a stern expression, held Meng Ning with one arm and warned Gu Changming, "Stay away from my wife."

Only then did Gu Changming realize that Meng Ning had come with Fu Tingxiu.

Feeling threatened by a mere worker, Gu Changming was furious and mocked, "How much do you really know about this so-called wife of yours?
