chapter 2 getting married

When Avery woke up, it was already noon , she was so annoyed ,burning with rage .

    Nurse Tina wheeled her to the garden where she buried herself painting 🖼 to dissolve her anger

      "Wow you sure are talented, can I keep this one?"  The twinkle in nurse Tina's eyes made her smile , she glanced at the painting of krystal and nod

         " Tina her guardian is here to see her" a nurse with weird eyeglasses informed

       " we have to go now " nurse Tina said pushing her wheel chair back to the ward

      Avery frowned on seeing her parents and three strangers

           "Avery dear, here is Eric ,your husband to be and his parents Mr and Mrs Johnson

     " hi darling,  I sincerely apologise for what my son did to you  " Mrs Johnson apologised squeezing Avery's hand while smilling awkwardly

        "I have no intention to get married to your son ,neither am I asking for compensation. "Avery glanced at them coldly "I can take care of myself  I don't need your help please leave all of you " she said with a painful smile on her lips

        "I know you are angry but calm down "Mrs Wilson said trying to ease the awkward situation

"this is your future we are talking about , no one would marry a crippled lady and an ugly scar on her face " Mr Wilson whispered to his daughter

"get out all of you" Avery yelled angrily

"sorry to see this scene, she's still paranoid "Mr Wilson apologised to the Johnson couple as they left the room

Avery's lips trembled as tears gathered her eyes but she refused to cry on seeing Eric sitting close to the bed

"what are you still waiting for?" she scolded

Eric raised his hands to show her the handcuff

his mother had chained him to the bed and left with the key

" I'm sorry, but it's not my fault I hit you....."

"shut up I don't want to hear it anymore " she yelled resting her head on the bed in tears

Eric felt bad on seeing her weep painfully. he got his assistant to investigate the issues but was disappointed on knowing the truth

the first he met the girl, she was walking with her dog with an ice cream 🍦 , he was caught by her beauty and wanted to court her

who would have known that he would be the one to destroy her peace

"the doctor said its temporary, you'll walk again "he consoled patting her hair carefully not to enrage her

under his care, she fell asleep

he used her hairpin to pick the lock of the handcuff and succeeded, he carefully placed her on the bed

Assistant zean walked in the ward with a briefcase and laptop 💻 for his boss to work from the hospital

After giving his report, he left .

The ward was extremely quiet with only the sound of the keyboard , krystal lay by the door as usual, watching every single move Eric made

avery slowly opened her eyes to see Eric working besides her , he wore a serious concentrated face, managing his brows every now and then

he had dark circles under his eyes ,she blinked surveying every single features of his face

" feeling better?" his musky voice jolted her from her daze she pouted turning to the window

"do you want to go back to the garden?" he asked but she kept mute

" wh....what are you doing " she shuttered as he lifted her to the wheel chair

" let's go eat outside " slowly, they got to a restaurant not far from the hospital.

" do you want to go home?" Eric asked after a long time of silence

"I don't want to " she muttered under her breath

"I can arrange an apartment for you to stay, if you want to?"

" whatever "

"will you switch schools ?"

"no"

Eric was frustrated, she only said a few words and he couldn't keep the conversation going

"let's go back, I have an urgent meeting in a few minutes, I'll get you something when I get back "

"okey" she said ruffling krystals hairy fat body
