New Friend

Reagan's arrival at Marco's house received a very lively welcome from the host and the guests who had arrived first, the news of Reagan's wedding was really well known to many people. Not wanting to make the guest of honor feel uncomfortable, Marco then hurried over to Reagan and Jarvis who were still standing at the entrance.

"Welcome." Marco immediately put his arm around Jarvis and Reagan's shoulders. "Why did you two come so late? How unusual, does this have anything to do with the news I heard this afternoon?"

"Shut up!" Reagan let go of Marco's hand roughly from his shoulder and walked briskly towards the party venue, leaving Marco still holding Jarvis in his arms.

Marco chuckled. "It seems our newlyweds are being so sensitive, does this have something to do with his beautiful bride?"

"I can't give you any answer, if you're curious you can.."

"Ah you're too stiff Jarvis, haven't changed at all. Still exactly like seven years ago," Marco said quietly cutting Jarvis off. "Tell me, where did that bastard meet his very beautiful wife, huh?"

Jarvis raised an eyebrow. "So pretty."

"The girl that Roman West introduced this afternoon in front of the reporters was really very beautiful, a natural beauty that is very rare in times like these and to be honest I'm jealous of your stupid friend," Marco chirped without hesitation, he didn't really care or feel ashamed to praise his own friend's wife. "So quickly tell me where Reagan found her, I also want to find a wife as beautiful as that girl."

Even though Jarvis is currently working for Reagan, Jarvis is still the Jarvis that Marco and his other college friends knew. In a quick movement Jarvis managed to escape from Marco's arms that clung to him like a leech, Jarvis didn't care if he was currently at Marco's house.

"Use your common sense Marco, the woman you admire is the wife of your best friend Reagan from ten years ago. You certainly won't ruin our friendship that has existed for more than ten years just because of one woman, right?"

Marco grinned widely. "Oh come on, I'm just joking Jarvis. Why are you so serious? I wouldn't be able to snatch my own college friend's wife either, I'm not that lowly."

"Good then, I'll remember these words well," Jarvis said quickly, as fast as he walked towards the party after Reagan had gathered with the rest of his friends. Although Jarvis currently works for Reagan, his background from the same college as Reagan and Marco made Jarvis get to know all of Reagan and Marco's friends. That's why he dared to be so rude to Marco, the host.

Seeing Jarvis just walk away made Marco smile a little, his black eyes stared at Jarvis and Reagan who were talking alone meaninglessly. A gaze full of real envy and malice.

"School of personality?" Crystal repeated James' words in shock.

Actually Crystal had been very happy while enjoying dinner alone in the dining room, but her pleasure turned into panic when James suddenly came. Luckily three hours ago Crystal directly applied Reagan's bruising ointment to his cheeks so James didn't notice there was something odd about his cheeks at this time.

James nodded. "The big lord is doing this for your good Crystal."

"But I..."

"You will definitely like it, in that place you will meet a lot of new people. There are a lot of young girls your age in that school and you can make friends with one of them so you can adapt quickly in London," said James resumed his speech.

Crystal lowered her head, she forgot that she was nobody who had the right to refuse the host's orders. Crystal had almost forgotten her place in this house.

"You don't have to worry, Reagan won't be mad if the Master has spoken so don't be afraid. All you need to do right now is sleep early so you won't be late for your new school tomorrow morning."

"I understand."

James pursed his lips. "Okay then, you can go back to your room again."

"Thanks James," Crystal stammered a little.

James nodded his head, not long after that he turned around and walked away from the dining room where Crystal was. The large dining room was silent again after James left, just as it had been before Crystal enjoyed her dinner. Feeling uncomfortable in the large dining room alone, Crystal decided to return to her room. Her bedroom and Reagan's who now had no idea who and what she was doing, Crystal actually felt calmer if Reagan wasn't in the room.

"Good night Crys, you've been great today," Crystal said quietly after covering her body with the blanket Reagan gave her all over her body.

Even though Crystal was forced to undergo this marriage, but in her heart Crystal was so grateful, now she no longer needed to feel the cold night breeze that penetrated the walls of her unworthy rental house every night. However, on the other hand Crystal was afraid. She was afraid that she was too comfortable with all the pleasures she was getting right now, Crystal wasn't ready to feel the pain of being dropped from a height again like nine years ago when all her happiness was snatched away by an evil woman whose face Crystal still remembers well.
