Chapter 32 : Mind Games
As Mia and Louise step through the large glass doors of Dahan Tech Incorporated, Mia can’t help the overwhelming feeling that falls over her. While most upscale office buildings do have a similarity that Mia relies on, she can’t say she’s thrilled about the concept of walking into yet another huge structure owned by her ex-boyfriend.
She can see Elon waiting for them by the elevator, momentarily checking his watch before spotting them. He walks forward, a large smile plastered on his face.
“Ms. Rodriguez, Ms…” Elon falters as he looks at Louise.
“Banks,” Louise finishes.
Elon nods with a polite smile. “Ms. Banks. I’m glad to see you both made it in. I figured I’d take the time to show you both to your floors. Let’s get going, shall we?”
Mia nods, stepping into the elevator.
Elon presses a button for the fifth floor before turning back to them.
“You seem quiet today, Ms. Rodriguez. I hope you’re feeling all right.” His voice is soft, looking at her deeply.
