XUEYAN GOT A JOB {I}

Xueyan woke up feeling excited, she went straight to take a shower. Stepping out of the shower, she saw Yuxi and Qingran holding up a knee-length gown with cherry flowers and black converse.

"Tada, you need to quickly get ready and leave so you won't be late. Mom is preparing breakfast and promised to cook some really good dishes tonight if you return with good news." Yuxi said.

"Apply a little bit of makeup because you are already beautiful mom." Qingran said, smiling.

"Ok, I will do just that." Xueyan said, taking the dress from Yuxi. She pushed the two out of her bedroom and went to blow dry her hair, and applied some body lotion made of raspberry, giving her a fresh scent. She dressed up and added a little touch of makeup to her already beautiful face before stepping out of the bedroom.

"Come quick, eat your breakfast and leave," Mrs Bai ushered Xueyan to the table. In a moment her plate was filled with foods.

"Eat, eat. You might take long and get hungry over there." Yu Xi said giving her a thumb's up.

"Yes Aunt Yu Xi is right mom, eat and eat." Qing Ran was the most excited about everything going well. Finally she can start school. Are they feeding a mother pig? Xueyan thought to herself.

At the hotel, more than fifty people were waiting to be called upon by Secretary Cheng Jian.

"Sir, everyone is here now."

"Good. Go out and call a name at a time, I will handle the rest." Rong Bo said knotting his tie.

"Yes sir." Jian said and left.

Bai Xueyan went to the top floor and heard names being called at a time. At the same time Xueyan almost fell to the floor because someone bumped into her. Half of her face covered with her hair she looked up to see a white but muscled slender, figure holding her up.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't watching..." The lady behind apologized.

"No, I'm the one who's at fault here. Apologies." The lady holding Bai Xueyan apologized. Xueyan looked up to see the face of the hand holding her, finally stable she saw the beautiful face.

"Xue... Xueyan!?" Feng Jiu exclaimed.

"Jiu. Feng Jiu."

Feng Jiu exuded with elegance, though she was clad in a suit, you'd still see her beautiful shaped body. "Xueyan where have you been? You disappeared from the face of the earth...How are you?"

"I didn't disappear..."

"Then where did you go to?"

"Feng Jiu." Xueyan muttered, she was drawing attention to them. "How's Riu?"

"Riu is OK. I never would have thought that you'd ask about Riu first. Who would have thought I'd remember you after so many years... You still look beautiful and charming"

"Seems like you two know each other." the other lady interrupted the two, Xue turned to see a familiar face.

"Oh ma'am, it's you." The lady said holding out her hand for a handshake.

"I'm no ma'am. Call me Xueyan, Bai Xueyan." Xueyan said shaking her hand.

"Ok, I'm Mei Han." Mei Han said, smiling.

"You know Xueyan too? Xueyan you must have become popular when I left the country." Feng Jiu teased.

"Hehe. Jiu you are still so carefree like ever."

"No you have always been quite famous in high school with your cool beauty and quietness. Why are you here though?" Jiu asked.

"For a job interview..."

"Here? At the Xings? It's very easy, you can easily get a job if you talk to Zhao Lin."

"You know Young master Zhao?" Mei Han asked.

"Yeah, he's an old acquaintance." Feng Jiu answered.

"Really!?"

"Yes. Why are you so surprised? Are you looking down on me?" Jiu asked raising an eyebrow.

"No. No way!"

"I will call Zhao Lin and let him know you are here, that way you can easily get a good position." Feng Jiu made an attempt to call Zhao but Xueyan snatched the phone away from her in time.

"Jiu you don't have to call him, don't go through such trouble, he must be busy and you shouldn't trouble him."

"Yes he might be busy but he will never ignore my call and believe me he'd be happy to learn who it is that is looking for a job..."

"Please, Jiu stop it. It's been a long time already why don't we hang out some other time?"

"This is my card, call me later and we could go hang out together and rekindle our friendship though you have always acted distant...Mei Han will you join us?"

"Me?"

"No the other Mei Han behind you."

"Pfft," Xueyan laughed.

"Let's catch up on the old times some other time not now anyway."

"Sure we will. I'm actually here to see my father." Feng Jiu waved to the two and matched off.

"I'm also here for an interview. Let's go." Mei Han took her eyes off Feng Jiu's swaying waist just to see Xueyan lost like she herself was a moment ago, clearing her throat.

"Let's go."

"Sure. Let's go."
