It's against protocols," she explained and Liam nodded. "No one would know we did it, right? I won't tell and surely you won't," he said and Fiona looked at him incredulously. "I guess you're drunk," she said flatly and he nodded and stood up. He walked closer to her and whispered to her ears, causing goosebumps to sprout all over her body. "Yes, I'm drunk and you're the only one that can sober me up right now. So, how much?" he asked and Fiona gave him a confused look. What was he asking? How much what? Did she tell him she was selling anything to him? She mused as her brows drew together. "How much? How much for what?" she asked and he ran his finger down her cheek, making it hard for her to concentrate. "How much would it cost me to have my cock buried inside you....." before he could finish, a hot-sounding slap landed on his face, causing him to turn to the side.

My man

"Yes. His girlfriend. Nice meeting you, Cora. I've heard a lot about you," Fiona said and Cora beamed a smile as she turned to Liam.

"You've been talking to her about me?" she asked and then turned to Fiona as she quickly took her while Mary joined them to serve Cora in case she hadn't eaten.

"What has he been telling you about me?" she asked and Fiona glanced at Liam for help he simply shrugged, letting her know she should fix the mess she created.

"Just stuff about your childhood and all," Fiona said and Cora could tell she was lying. She wasn't stupid.

Liam had not told her anything about her so why lie? To get in her good books, maybe? Was she perhaps a gold digger who didn't deserve Liam? She mused.

"I see." she drawled as Mary left them.

"So, when did you arrive? How did you even locate my house?" Liam asked and she shrugged as they all resumed their meal.

"Aunty gave it to me. Is she aware you have a girlfriend?" Cora asked and both Liam and Fiona exchanged a glance.

"Yes. Why?" Liam asked and she shrugged.

"Well, my dad mentioned something about your mom wanting us to get married and how it would benefit the company. So, learning about Fiona, today, I just sort got confused as to why she would do that if she knew about her," Cora said.

From her body language and how she spoke freely, Fiona could see that Cora wasn't exactly a problem but might unintentionally pose as one if she as much as made a slip in front of her.

"Well, Fiona and I just started off three months ago. And I only just recently told mom about her when she mentioned the marriage. Mom even invited Fiona for dinner tomorrow. That's why she came around," Liam supplied and Cora nodded.

"Does that mean she doesn't stay here?" she asked again.

"No. I stay in another city," Fiona said and Cora raised a brow.

"How then did you both meet?" Cora asked and Liam shook his head for Fiona to not say anything else. The answer to those questions were only reserved for his mom.

"Why do you seem so interested in my relationship? You only just got back and you're yet to catch up with me. You didn't even ask after Derek," Liam complained and Cora gasped.

"Derek! How is he? I've missed him a lot too," Cora asked excitedly and Liam smiled.

"He missed you too. How did you even lose our contact? We tried countless times to reach you," Liam said and Cora sighed.

"Well, I lost my phone. I would be reconnected with you on social media but you know me, not the social media type and last I remember, you're not also," Cora said and Liam nodded.

"So, when did you arrive?" Liam asked and Cora shrugged.

"Last night. I wanted to suppose you but I ended up getting surprised," Cora said with a sigh and Liam chuckled.

Fiona watched and talked when talked to as Liam and Cora tried to catch up on old times while they ate even though she was sure the whole day wouldn't be enough to do that.

She tried not to scowl too much or glare too much at how Cora kept pestering, and touching Liam while they conversed. Liam having noticed this, decided that he better sent Cora away.

"Cora, darling," Liam called. "Fiona and I planned on going for a movie date today and I don't want to disappoint her," he continued.

"Of course. We can just go together, right? I'm dressed for it already," she said excitedly and Fiona smiled at her.

"Well, as much as I would love that, I really want to spend that time alone with my man," Fiona said and Cora frowned.

"But I just...."

"How about I call Derek to take you if you really want go out? You could both catch up while at it too," Liam cut in and although she wasn't entirely happy or excited to go out with Derek, Cora gave Liam an appreciative smile.

"Alright. I guess that would do," she said and Fiona watched them as she wondered why Liam would call Derek out of work for some spoilt brat.

Liam wasted no effort in calling Derek over since he knew just how much Derek used to like Cora and in no time, Derek was at his place.

While Derek and Cora were catching up, Liam excused himself to go talk to Fiona in the room.

"Your man, huh?" he teased the moment they walked through the door.

"I just had to play my part. Don't confuse it for anything," she said and he narrowed his eyes.

"So, is there anyone else in your life you think I should know about?" she asked and he shook his head.

"No. You know them all now. I'm sorry I didn't tell you about Cora last night. She is the reason I hired you. To evade marriage to her," he said and she nodded.

"So, no other person that might come hug you as though you were previously married to them?" she asked just to be sure and Liam raised an amused brow.

He had indeed read the situation right. She was jealous. Did she like him? He hoped not.

"Is that you being jealous?" he teased and Fiona scoffed.

"Why should I be?" she asked with a cocked brow.

"You tell me," he said and she rolled her eyes.

"You wish! I was only asking because I don't want to have to look as stupid as I looked today in front of someone else. So, is there someone else I need to know about?" she asked and Liam shook his head.

"Good. I hope not."

"Yeah. Once they leave, I'll have to drop by the office. Although I didn't want to go there today, now I have to change my plans because of Cora," he said and Fiona looked at him with serious eyes.

"Why don't you like her though? She's beautiful and your mom's choice. You won't have to go through the hassle of impressing her," Fiona asked and Liam winked at her.

"Well, because she's nothing like you?" he said and she hissed, causing him to chuckle.

"We should return downstairs. I wanted to let you know I'll be going to the office immediately they leave," he said and after she acknowledged him, they returned downstairs.
