Odd

The next morning, Elena toss on her bed for a while before she finally climb down the bed. She skip into the bathroom to have her bath but she didn't know how to turn the shower on. She pouted and tried to recall how the servant usually turn it on when a knock came to the door.

Luckily, she was still putting on her nightdress. The servant peek her head inside and exhaled in relief, she thought the girl left her room.

"Time to bath," she said.

Elena nod and point the shower. The servant understood what she was trying to mean. She went into the bathroom because she wanted to bath herself but she didn't know how to turn the shower on.

After the servant showed her the necessary things in the bathroom, she took her bath and towered herself. The butler brought food for the young lady and arranged the messed up bed before leaving.

Elena put on a floral gown that was given to her by the servant. Darren had told her to fill the walk-in closet with new clothes and some limited edition ones. Elena tried to use the spoon but she ended up being fed by the servant.

The servant girl showed her around the mansion and told her the names of the things Elena didn't know. Though she was feeling excited about today, Darren had left early in the morning and she didn't get the chance to see him.

They walk back into the mansion and saw Dan sulking on the couch, the moment he saw Elena, he stood up and walk towards her.

"Darren ask me to take you around the city. What do you say?" Dan ask with a sullen expression on his sulking face.

A big smile appeared on Elena's lips and she nodded enthusiastically. She then held the servant girl's hand with a questionable look on her beautiful face.

Dan quickly nodded "Yes. Darren said she can come with you."

An hour later, Dan took the girls around the city, visiting places and also buying sweet things. Dan kept wondering why his boss care so much about this dumb girl but he couldn't ask and kept to himself.

Dora the servant girl and Elena walk into a large ice cream shop that was crowded with people. Little children run here and there while parents chat happily with each other. After they were done shopping, they head for the door. Elena was amazed by this colourful shop and failed to notice two kids who were running around her in circles, when she took another step, she tripped over them and hit another lady, pouring the ice cream on her.

Dora's eyes widen at the mess that litter the floor and also the ladies dress.

Ahhh

Vivian shriek and all heads turn to her direction. On her beautiful black expensive dress, the ice cream splashed on the dress and on her face.

She step towards Elena with bloodshot eyes, are you blind you peasant! " she yelled and hit Elena on her face. Gasps filled the air while Elena froze on the spot.

" Miss, she didn't mean it. It was an accident," Dora stood at the front of the Elena and received a glare from Vivian.

"Vivian? Oh my... Who did this?" Dinah shouted angrily. Vivian glared at Elena coldly before walking away while the middle aged woman went along with her.

"Young miss are you okay?" Dora ask when they came out of the shop. She touch Elena's slightly swollen cheek and panicked. Darren would scold her severely and wouldn't want her to take care of Elena again.

Dan walk towards the young ladies and still when he saw Elena's red cheek. "What happened?" 'He knew the girl was clumsy, at least she won't cause trouble right?'

"Young miss tripped and poured ice cream over a lady." Dora shortened what happened.

"Let's hope Darren don't get angry. Are you okay?" He ask Elena and she nodded quickly. It wasn't a new thing when it comes to her.

"Okay. Let's go," he said and ushered them towards the car.

Vivian and Mrs. Hamilton came out of the shop and went towards the car that was owned by the Hamilton.

Vivian turned to look at the other side of the parking lot when she saw the reckless girl being ushered into an expensive car. She creased her forehead, recalling the quiet girl, her smooth skin and clothes. 'She must be a daughter from one of those wealthy families' she thought.

"Odd" she murmured and got into the car.

Maple Inc.

Darren sat on the head table inside the conference room. His aloof expression did not go unnoticed by the other important people inside the room. They were used to seeing Darren Hamilton with such expression on his face.

Ahem

The chairman of the Dalton group Dalton Owen , cleared his throat to gain the attentions he needed. He was the highest shareholder of Maple Inc after Darren who owns 55 percent.

This meeting was a result of a 10 percent shareholder who wanted to withdraw his share to another rival group.

Darren being the CEO of Maple Inc and chairman of the Hamilton group, he also has enemies and rivals, one of them was his step uncle's.

The Dustin group was a complete rival of the Hamilton group right from when Darren's father was the chairman. When Darren took over from his father five years ago, the Dustin group have fallen in stock and have limited shareholders. Now that his step uncle's son has taken over from his father, he's trying to take all the shareholders from the Hamilton group.

" Jeremy Clifford have signed the withdrawal of his share from Maple Inc and everyone here is a witness to this," The middle aged man, Owen said and everyone one nodded.

Clifford scowl at Darren and took the filed documents and walk out of the room with his shoulders up.

"Ungrateful fool," Minerva Laurence scoffed. She was the only female shareholder and holds 10 percent share in the Hamilton group.

"I heard he was paid a huge sum of money," another man said. "He even tried to convince me."

Mr. Hamilton, I have a relative who's ready to partner with the Hamilton group. Another man said with expectations dancing in his eyes.
