Being Tutored

Darren hired a professional tutor for Elena so she could study for the upcoming exam that would be held in two months time.

On the first week it wasn't easy for Elena and the female tutor, Mrs. Ann. Elena felt she was going to faint when the woman would pressure her to write and also pronounce some words.

Though Elena was finding some of the learnings difficult, she was able to read and her handwriting was beautiful and bold and also less stressful for Mrs Ann.

Having a feeling she had done this before but she couldn't remember when, Elena brushed the thought aside as she focus on the textbook she was reading. Mrs Ann was really a professional tutor, she didn't care if Darren would speak ill of her and repramind the girl when she slacks off.

"That would be all for today Elena, make sure you do your assignments and see you tomorrow," Mrs Ann said and step out of the study room Darren asked the butler to prepare for them.

The moment the door was shut, Elena dropped the pen and slumped on the table, she was extremely exhausted. 8 hours of studying and 1hour of break was too long, she thought but that was the only way she could write the final exam.

Elena step out of the room and saw Dan who was lying lazily on the couch, ahe walked passed him and head for the kitchen.

"Ms Elena, you must be hungry. Come to the dinning table and your food would be fetched," the butler said when he spotted Elena standing close to the large island.

Elena nod her head and walked to the dinning where she met Dan sitting with drowsy eyes.

After eating, she and Dan played few pc games and she later left for her room to complete the assignments Mrs Ann gave her to do.

This was the second week of Mrs Ann tutoring and Elena love the way the woman teach her, Mrs Ann was strict and straightforward and would sometimes make an example with her children. Somehow, Elena felt happy around her.

Even if she didn't attend school for years, she has the feeling of attending one maybe she had forgotten, anyways, Elena was catching up and doing okay in her home studies.

Elena just closed the physics textbook when she felt someone back hugging her. Her beautiful cherry lips pulled up and she turned to see Darren grinning lazily.

Darren helped her up and embraced her fully in his arms, her body soft as always.

"How was your day with Mrs Ann?"

Elena pulled from the hug and picked her whiteboard from the table and scribbled excitedly on it. [It was good as always. But many assignments] Elena made a face as if complaining.

Darren couldn't help but feel pity for her. Despite the hard condition she left not too long, she was able to cope with him. He picked her up and step out of her room.

"Dan bring her study materials and the textbook on the table," he said to Dan who nod his head before going into the room.

Bringing Elena to his room, Darren placed her carefully on the bed, "stay here, I need to bath or will you join me?" His hot breath grazed her ear making them turn red.

Elena blushed and put one of the pillow on her face making Darren smirk.

" Get inside Dan," Darren said when he noticed Dan standing outside his room in a daze.

Dan cleaned his eyes and step into the room. At first he was surprised at the position Darren spoke with Elena, the next line his boss said made him blush and stand there in a daze.

Elena removed the pillow from her face and met Darren's black eyes gazing at her. Her face felt warm again and she gestured for Dan to bring the books to her.

"Next time you eavesdrop on my conversation with Elena, I'll send you to the headquarter," Darren threatened the bodyguard who wasn't at fault.

Dan stood straight when he heard headquarter. No! He didn't want to be in that place for hell's sake. "Yes boss," agreed and left the room.

Actually he didn't eavesdrop because he was right behind them and Darren's voice was loud enough for him outside the room to hear. Dan shook his head in exasperation and walked to the kitchen to get a can of beer. Thankfully, Kyle wasn't around he wouldn't let Dan sip a beer in his presence.

Thinking about his brother, Dan fumbled with his pocket and fetch out his phone to make a call.

Elena who was done with her studies fell asleep on Darren's broad chest while he work with his laptop.

He just found out a leak from the neighborhood Elena used to live in from one of his sources.

Chatting with the person about the details,

Darren: Did you see her face?

Person: Nope. She was standing with her back to the camera. You know that place is not well organized and lack of amenities.

Darren: How about the plate number of the car? No clue?

Person: Nah! This woman is smart and doesn't want people to see her face or anything that would implicate her.

Darren: The direction she took?

Person: The cctv's on that lane were covered. I tried to navigate to other ones but it seems all the cameras in that area were covered.

Darren: Anything suspicious?

Person: Nope.She handed her a bag. A furry one 🐈 like a kitten.

Darren knitted his brows and recalled the bag Elena brought with her.

Darren: Okay. and ended the chat.

He carefully laid Elena on the bed without waking her up before stepping out of the room.

Darren entered Elena's room and searched for the bag without scattering her things but he couldn't find it. He went beside her bed and pulled open the drawers but it wasn't there.

He was about to give up when he saw the hand of the kitten bag under the bed. "There you are," and pulled it out.

The bag was half opened meaning Elena had put it back quickly when someone was about to come inside her room.

Darren became suspicious and opened the zipper.

His ears turn pink when he saw the female pads inside. He didn't dig in too much and put the bag back to it's original place without seeing the photo and necklace.
