Thoughts

Jessy took a deep breath and sat up in bed, her mind still racing with thoughts of what happened the day before. She knew that Samuel leaving in a bad mood wasn't entirely her fault, but her father and aunt Verona seemed to blame her for it.

She stretched her limbs, feeling a stinging sensation in her muscles from the odd position she must have taken while asleep. The sunlight streaming through her windows cast a golden glow in her room, illuminating the space.

As she glanced around, the disarray of her room caught her eye, and she let out a small frustrated sigh. She knew that she needed to tidy up, but she was feeling too lazy to do it.

Just then, her gaze fell on the envelope lying on the table, addressed to her mother. She had found it yesterday when thrashing her room, and Jessy had been too preoccupied to open it. Not that she didn't open it at all, at least, she knew that it was an address in it.

But, today she get to finally see what is in it. She picked up the envelope and examined it closely, her fingers tracing over her mother's neat handwriting. It had been years since Jessy had seen her mother, or just call it decades. After reincarnating three good times after a long life she must have forgotten a lot, and she didn't know what to expect from the letter. Part of her was nervous, while the other part was curious to know what her mother had to say.

With trembling hands, she carefully tore open the envelope and pulled out the letter. Her eyes scanned over the words, and tears started to well up in her eyes as memories of her mother flooded her mind.

As she read the words on the paper, Jessy's heart swelled with a mix of emotions - from longing to sadness to anger. But deep down, there was a glimmer of hope - hope that maybe, just maybe, things would get better. Maybe, she might reunite with her mom in the afterlife. But when will that day come when she always reincarnates back the minute she dies.

The events of the previous day rushed back to her, and she couldn't help but feel guilty about what had happened with Samuel Jeusal, he had a problem with work and had left. She knew that it wasn't her fault at all, but her father and aunt Verona had made her feel responsible for it.

She ran her fingers through her dark, cascading hair, feeling the tangled locks against her fingers. She wore an old t-shirt and shorts, and as she swung her legs off the bed, her toes brushed against the cold floor. She walked to her window and looked outside, breathing in the fresh morning air.

Finally, she decided.

She needed to get on that date with Samuel. Of course, Samuel was her past and she didn't want to end up heartbroken like she did in her past lives so she wouldn't take him seriously.

Besides, this date was merely a pass out of this prison called a house.

As she got ready for the day, her mind was constantly racing with questions and doubts. Would Samuel show up? Would her plan work? Could she really leave her old life behind and start anew? In fact, it all depended whether Samuel shows up or not.

She took a deep breath and pushed her uncertainties aside. She knew that this was the only chance that she had to escape the oppressive life that she was leading. She had to take the risk, even if it meant breaking her father's rules and hurting him in the process.

She wore a beautiful yellow dress that hugged her curves in all the right places, and her hair cascaded down her shoulders like a waterfall of silk. Her heart was pounding with anticipation and fear as she made her way downstairs.
