Chapter 028

"It's been long since we last met and Mr. Oscar is still as energetic as ever!"

Oscar smiled shyly.

"I don't dare compare myself to Mr. Weymer's youthfulness"

"Hah" Mr. Weymer sipped from his tea.

Both individuals were at one of the rooms in Krusty Krab's VIP section.

Oscar didn't go to campus today. He had more pressing matters to do.

"The morning is still young and I have a busy schedule ahed of me. So, can you make our discussion snappy?" Mr. Weymer said with caution, for fear of offending Oscar.

"I was indeed selfish calling you out this early. I plan on opening a Holdings Company. But I am completely new to this and I was hoping you could show me the ropes" Oscar revealed.

"Holdings Company? is this a joint venture or.."

"I wil be the one to bear the full cost"

"Hm?" Mr. Weymer almost sprayed out the tea he just drank.

Bear the full cost?!

"You are not joking with me right?" he stared at Oscar suspiciously.

"No"

Mr. Weymer sucked in a deep breath, trying his best to calm his racing heart.

Why am I reacting too much? maybe he just wants to start up a small scale company. Yes! that must be it.

"I have a friend in the state office. I will chat him up right now" Mr. Weymer brought out his phone.

He expected Oscar to bombard him with questions. But the latter remained calm.

Naturally, Oscar understood what was happening. Before one started a business, they had to register with the state office and obtain a license.

Some minutes later, Mr. Weymer sent a form over to Oscar.

It was an online Business registration form. It asked for the name of the Business, type, bank details and the likes.

"What name do I use?" Oscar thought hard.

Oscar Group? nah, too bland.

Mo Bucks Inc? yes! that was it!

After filling up the registration form, Mr. Weymer sent it over to his friend who worked at the State office.

"How long before it gets approved?" Oscar asked.

"The next ten hours hopefully"

Goldie's limo drove into KYC parking lot. Alighting down, she roamed her eyes around like she was searching for something.

Or perhaps someone?

"Ah, Laura was extremely merciless last night"

"Yeah. She completely threw that loser Oscar down from his high horse"

"Hmph. But he deserves it. A loser will forever remain a loser"

Two male students passed by Goldie, gossiping intensely about the drama that unfolded at Jonas place the previous night.

"Excuse me" while they discussed animatedly among themselves, they heard a soft voice from behind them.

"Eh? it's Fairy Gold Dust?!" they gasped in surprise when they saw who it was.

Did the renowned Fairy Gold Dust just approach them?!

They weren't dreaming right?

Goldie blushed when she heard the nickname. Gold Dust was a nickname animously given to her by everyone in KYC, due to her bright golden-like blonde hair and her fairy-like beauty.

"Did something happen at Jonas party yesterday?" she asked.

"Oh! it's like this.."

The two male gossipers competed amongst themself as they explained all what transpired at the party the previous night.

"That wench" Goldie cussed underneath her breath when she heard the full recount.

"Thank you" she flashed the two male gossipers a warm smile.

"I-It's nothing"

"Hahah. Yes. Yes. I.. It's nothing!"

How could the two male gossipers withstand this sudden favour. They began laughing sheepishly.

"Do you think Goldie.. likes me?" the one on the right asked his colleague after Goldie walked away.

"Pft. I think I am the one she likes. Didn't you see her smiling directly at me?"

.

Ring. Ring. Ring.

Oscar who was riding his scooter felt his phone vibrating from his pocket.

"I wonder who's calling?" he mused, finding a corner to park.

He didn't have much acquitances in the first place. Staring at the Phone Screen, he saw that it was an unknown caller.

"Hello, who is this?"

"Hello. Am I speaking with Mr. Oscar?"

Oscar frowned.

The voice sounded unfamiliar. But how come the other party knew his name.

"Yes. I am"

"Good. I am Doctor Bruno. I called to inform you that your mother was just admitted into Silver Lily Clinic"

"What?!" Oscar felt a bomb going off in his ear.

Silver Lily Clinic was the only medical center in Chopperville, a small town.

And Chopperville was where his blind mother lived. Admitted? did something bad happen to her?

"I'd advise that you come over real quick. Her injuries are very severe and she has lost a lot of blood. Her condition is beyond our Clinic's capabilities"

"I.. I'm on my way!" Oscar hurriedly hung up, driving at top speed to his mansion.

He rushed into his garage, mounting his Bentley.

Opening the *Map* option on the dashboard, he saw that the distance from his current location to Chopperville was fifty minutes if he drove at top speed.

Vroom!

He started the ignition, hitting the asphalt.

As he controlled the wheels with trembling hands, he began cussing at himself.

Dammit! Dammit! Dammit!

How could he have forgotten about his mother even after gaining the system.

"If anything happens to her, I won't forgive myself!" his heart pounded at the accelerator hit it's max.

Luckily, he had the *Car Driving* skill, which prevented him from sustaining any automobile accident.

Oscar lost count of how many traffic junctions he disobeyed along the way. He only breathed a sigh of relief when he arrived at his destination.

Silver Lily Clinic was a small project done by the Town Chairman while he was running his political campaign.

At first, it was intended to be a Hospital but alas, when the politician got into power, he went against his words, building a clinic instead.

The small parking lot was devoid of any car. This couldn't be helped since Chopperville was once an hamlet.

Parking his car, Oscar dashed into the clinic at inhumane speed. The lady behind the counter only felt a strong breeze blow past her face.

Since Oscar was a Deviant, his senses were heightened.

He managed to locate the ward where his mother was kept.

"Mum!" he cried in alarm when he saw the woman he was most familiar with.

In the past, he always looked her to be a very strong woman who single handedly raised him up.

But the current her was extremely frail and sickly pale. Her whole body was bandaged with blood stained bandages.

But with Oscar's sharp eyes, he could pinpoint that most if not all of her ribs were broken. Also, there were three bullet holes at her left side.

Oscar's body trembled as his eyes went bloodshot. This was no accident.

This was an attempted murder!

But who would do this? and why?!

Last time he remembered, his mother was the peace-loving type who had no enemies in the town.

At that moment, Oscar noticed a slim middle aged doctor walk in with a sethescope wrapped around his neck.

"Oh? Who are you? don't you know you are prohibited from barging into patients wards? what if you disturb their rest?" Dr. Bruno frowned harshly.
