After walking for several hours, they finally arrived at a small village located on the edge of the forest. The village looked safe and peaceful, with small houses made of wood and clay. But there seemed to be no signs of life in the village.
Eriase helped Skaayla sit under a tree near the village while searching for a source of water to drink. A few moments later, Eriase returned with fresh water from a well near the village.
They drank the fresh water eagerly, feeling the refreshing and cool sensation in their throats. After drinking, they felt more refreshed and energized.
Eriase decided to look for a place to stay in the village while Skaayla rested under the tree. After searching, Eriase found a small empty hut suitable for them to live in.
They immediately moved into the hut and prepared to rest and recover. Eriase helped Skaayla sleep comfortably on a wooden bed, while he himself slept on the floor.
That night they slept soundly, feeling the peace they had longed for. They felt very grateful for their success in escaping from the dungeon and enjoying their newly found freedom.
The next day, after sufficient rest, they left the village and continued their journey towards a city.
However, their journey to the city was not safe. They met someone mysterious in the middle of the forest, who called himself a follower of the god of destruction.
Skaayla felt her breath catch in her throat as she saw Orthell, the follower of the god of destruction, in front of her. Orthell's frightening face showed an unreadable expression, and his large body looked strong and muscular. Skaayla knew she could not fight Orthell alone, but she could not let Eriase fight alone.
Eriase was ready to fight, although he had lost some of his strength. He transformed into his human form, but still maintained his incredible speed and agility. He advanced with his shining sword, ready to fight against Orthell.
However, Orthell was too powerful for Eriase. Every attack from Eriase was easily blocked by Orthell, and every attack from Orthell was incredibly strong and destructive. Skaayla saw Eriase being overwhelmed and tried to help, but Orthell easily stopped Skaayla's attacks.
Finally, Skaayla fell wounded and helpless, and Eriase tried to protect her. However, Orthell easily defeated Eriase by creating a hole in his heart and pulling it out.
At that moment, Skaayla knew there was nothing more she could do. She could only look at Eriase lying on the ground with worry and sadness.
Orthell looked down on Skaayla and Eriase with disdain. "So weak," he said firmly. "I think even a goblin could defeat you with its eyes closed." He laughed cynically. "I don't understand what you expect to achieve. This is clearly futile. You will never be able to defeat monsters stronger than me, let alone true gods."
Orthell then looked at Skaayla with a sharp gaze and crushed the heart he had taken from Eriase. "You, Skaayla, are useless. You're just wasting your breath. Don't think you can defeat me or protect your friend who will die at my hands."
As Orthell crushed Eriase's heart, the atmosphere there seemed to become very oppressive. Skaayla felt a blazing anger within her, and she felt as if her vampire instincts were taking over. However, she still tried to control herself.
Suddenly, when Skaayla was about to unleash her fury, time seemed to pause for a moment and she felt Orthell's presence in front of her. Without giving Skaayla a chance to react, Orthell quickly struck her with a powerful blow that sent her flying into the air.
After crashing hard on the ground, Skaayla was pulled back by Orthell. Her body was in pain after experiencing such great pressure. She tried to get up but felt very weak and helpless. Then, Skaayla felt her vision blur and her consciousness fading away.
Her body lay limp on the ground and eventually Skaayla lost consciousness. She had completely lost control over her power and emotions, too exhausted to continue fighting and too injured to fight back.
Orthell looked at Skaayla, unconscious, and smirked. He was very pleased to have played with his two pets. He then left Skaayla lying on the ground and suddenly disappeared.
When Skaayla woke up, she felt sad and angry that Eriase had sacrificed himself to protect her. However, a mysterious voice that provoked her suddenly appeared in her head.
"You are too weak, Skaayla. You allowed Eriase to sacrifice himself for you. But I can help you become stronger. Blood, Power, Glory. Make a contract with me and you will have greater strength in battle," said the mysterious voice.
Skaayla was intrigued by the offer, especially because she wanted to avenge Eriase's death at the hands of Orthell. She considered the offer, although she felt that something was not right with the voice.
"Power? Blood? Glory?" Skaayla repeated those words in her head.
"Yes, Power to strengthen you, Blood to satisfy your vampire instincts, and Glory to glorify yourself," answered the mysterious voice.
Skaayla nodded firmly. "Yes, I accept this contract. I will do whatever it takes to gain greater strength."
The mysterious voice nodded satisfactorily. "Very well, then our contract is bound. However, to make this contract, you must forget your past. But you will not be able to forget Eriase's death. His death will be a curse for you and you will continue to strive for power to avenge him."
Skaayla was silent for a moment, pondering the words of the mysterious voice. However, she could not hold back from speaking. "But I cannot forget the first person who found me in the forest, my mother Lucy. Although I am not her biological child, she loved me sincerely."
The mysterious voice sighed. "Remember, Orthell said that his attack was only the first threat that will continue to haunt you. That means there will be more people who will destroy your life."
Skaayla felt afraid, but she could not give up. "But-"
The mysterious voice cut off Skaayla's speech. "Very well, I will return your memories when you succeed in defeating Orthell."
As the first step of the contract, Skaayla had to suck at least 1500 strong creatures' blood, such as dragons and demons. Without hesitation, Skaayla began to search for these strong creatures and suck their blood.
However, the more blood Skaayla sucked, the more changes she underwent. Her hair, which was once white as light, began to darken. The growing power and brutality, as well as the desire for greater glory and power, caused Skaayla to lose her own identity.
Skaayla, who was once gentle and loving, has now become a cruel and arrogant figure. She doesn't care about anyone but herself and the contracts she makes. Every time she manages to defeat a stronger creature, she feels more powerful and her desire to gain strength grows.
When Orthell finally appears before her, Skaayla is confident that she now has enough power to defeat him. However, what she doesn't know is that Orthell is not an easy enemy to face.
Their fight is intense, but in the end, Skaayla has to accept defeat as her power is not enough to defeat Orthell. This loss makes Skaayla even more desperate, and her desire for power grows stronger.
She continues to search for powerful creatures to feed on, even if it means crossing boundaries and sacrificing humans. She no longer cares about anyone but herself and the contracts she makes.
The once gentle and cheerful child Skaayla has become a terrifying and cruel figure. She continues to seek power, honor, and blood to fulfill her contract promises, unaware that she has lost her true identity.
After 7 years of terrorizing the world in fear, Skaayla and Orthell finally meet again, staring at each other sharply. Skaayla feels her adrenaline peak, she is ready to avenge Eriase's death. Orthell, on the other hand, looks calm and ready to face whatever the vampire will do.
"No one can save you, Orthell. I will avenge Eriase's death!" exclaimed Skaayla as she prepares to attack.
"Of course, Skaayla. I didn't expect you to back down that easily," Orthell calmly replied.
Skaayla leapt towards Orthell and unleashed a quick counter-attack. However, Orthell was able to dodge every strike with remarkable speed. The fight continued with both sides attacking and defending fiercely. Skaayla kept unleashing powerful counter-attacks, but Orthell was able to easily dodge them.
"You're slow, Skaayla. You need more than that to defeat me," Orthell taunted.
Skaayla couldn't let Orthell's words belittle her. She screamed and unleashed wild attacks that were lightning fast. However, Orthell was able to dodge them and strike back with the same speed.
"You're too weak, Skaayla. You're not strong enough to defeat me," Orthell said with contempt.
Skaayla felt angry and frustrated. She kept unleashing powerful counter-attacks, but all of them were in vain. Orthell was too fast and agile to be caught.
Then she tapped into the power flowing within her. She felt an immense strength coursing through her, and her vampire instincts grew stronger. She unleashed even faster and stronger counter-attacks, and Orthell couldn't dodge them.
"How is this possible? Your power is increasing so rapidly!" Orthell exclaimed in surprise.
Skaayla just smiled and kept unleashing powerful counter-attacks. Finally, she managed to strike Orthell accurately, hitting him hard in the chest and sending him flying backwards.
"That's enough, Orthell. You're weak and useless," Skaayla said in a mocking tone.
Orthell tried to get up, but he couldn't. He felt his strength slowly fading away.
"You don't deserve to live in this world, Orthell. Your strength is not worth your previous insults," Skaayla said with a disdainful tone.
Orthell tried to speak, but he was too weak to talk. He could only stare at Skaayla with a weak gaze.
"You finally realize how weak you are. Too late, Orthell. My power is growing stronger, and I will continue to destroy anyone who gets in my way," Skaayla said arrogantly.
Orthell tried to regain his strength, but he couldn't. He was forced to surrender to Skaayla and feel the shame of defeat.
"Alright Orthell, you didn't think I'd let you live just like that, did you?" Skaayla said as she lifted Orthell's hand and smiled.
"I'm curious about what your blood tastes like, whether it's good or not," said Skaayla as she bared her fangs and sucked Orthell's blood.
Then Skaayla pulled out Orthell's heart and crushed it right above her mouth so that the blood from the heart would fall into her mouth.
Before disappearing into dust, Orthell tried to say something to Skaayla, stuttering, "Ha ha, e-even though you've killed me, it won't ruin the plan. And also, my mission was successful. I have-"
Skaayla looked at Orthell with a cynical gaze. "What are you talking about, Orthell? Any scheme you made will not succeed against my power."
Orthell tried to take a breath, but his voice grew weaker. "Don't be too confident. Your power...isn't everything."
Skaayla smiled arrogantly. "My power far exceeds everything you can imagine."
Orthell tried to speak again, but his voice became fainter. "Remember...I have p-poisoned...y-you..."
His words were cut off, and Orthell turned into dust. Skaayla was confused by Orthell's last words, but she didn't care. Her power grew stronger, and she felt invincible.
Suddenly, a mysterious voice whispered in her ear, "Alright, as promised, I will restore your memories."
Skaayla was surprised and confused. She didn't know who was speaking, but she felt something strange.
"Who are you? What do you mean?" asked Skaayla.
The mysterious voice laughed. "I am the contract you made seven years ago, Skaayla. Have you forgotten?"
Skaayla was surprised. She did make a contract seven years ago, but she forgot the details.
"Yes, I remember now. What should I do?" asked Skaayla.
The mysterious voice replied, "Nothing, now you are free. Don't you miss your family?"
Skaayla was shocked. "What do you mean by family? My family is just Eriase, the only one who saved my life."
The mysterious voice replied, "You will find out later."
Suddenly, Skaayla felt an incredible pain in her head. All of her memories from the past suddenly returned. She remembered how she used to have a loving family, but lost them in a tragic event. She remembered how she ended up in the dungeon because someone teleported her.
Then Skaayla flew to her home with her flying magic, hoping that everything would be okay after the arrival of the mysterious man in her house.
