Will she accept and give in to the bond? … or Will she reject and live the life her family has already laid upon? And what would be Lou’s view from her side? Join me as we unravel their ever tangled lives. ‘hehehe’ [*******] Author’s Note: Join https://discord.gg/RMJAEMC A gold tier in the WPC contest. Hence, I will stick to the prompt of an overpowered female lead. This is my first werewolf novel and hopefully it would turn out great. Chapter 6

LOU RIVERS

Werewolves do exist.

The knowledge of my kind seemed to be a folktale to the humans. And just like the humans, who have different opinions and beliefs of their beginnings, so does the werewolves.

There are myths and legends depicting the origin of my kind, like there was once a man named Lycaon who angered a god, hence turning him into a wolf and so was his sons.

The god had cursed him.

The cursed ran in that man's bloodline and is passed from generations to generations.

There's also this myth or legend that says; a man swore allegiance to the devil for him to be strong and to be feared. Hence the devil made him into a werewolf in exchange for his soul and the souls that he's yet to devour.

It was also a cursed from the devil and is passed down to generations, down to that man's bloodline.

Well, there were a lot more but with all those myths and legends that has been passed from tongue to tongue all these years, no one still knew where everything really started and I think it will remain a myth forever.

But the Canis Lycaon is definitely not a myth. Its existence has been carefully written in all history books of the distant past. Some had not lived long to tell the tale and a few did— only to have horrible nightmares of that dreadful time.

I have read all those history books, where the name Adolphus is written in bold — for emphasis.

I cringed of how horrendous the written events are. It made me even wary of myself.

'will I become like them?'

I turned to look at my wolf Adolphus, lapping his tongue on the surface of the river.

He looks like just a dog in his size, like a husky.

~ It's rude to stare Louchiechie ~

I rolled my eyes, "You're not even worth staring at in that form," I pointed at his body.

He grinned a toothy grin, ~How about this?~

His green eyes flickered, his fur rose up, muscles rippling, bones stretching then not long, a bigger version of that dog stood before me.

I narrowed my eyes into a thin slit as though scrutinizing every part of my wolf, "Not bad."

Adolphus growled, ~ You should say beautiful~

"Oh, I didn't know my wolf is gay," I teased.

He leapt towards me, tackling me on the ground and growled at my face showing his canines.

I laughed under him. I know he won't hurt me.

~Maybe you want the size like that of Aplha Hans, do you?~

Then his eyes again flickered and muscles begun to shake but I stopped him.

"Enough Addi," I caressed his head.

I named him Addi instead of Adolphus. Who knows what would happen if I tell anyone of my wolf's name.

"I love you whatever form you are, even if you become the size of an ant," I pulled my lips inward as I stifled a laugh.

That made me roll on my side as he nudged me by the stomach.

'hahaha'

Unlike other werewolf who can only communicate with their wolf through the link and see them in a mirror when shifted, mine is way too different.

Besides communicating through our link, I can dive into a space in my consciousness and be with my wolf.

I'm diving in with my soul form and everything in there feels real.

In there, I could touch Adolphus like pat his head, snuggle in his fluffy fur, run by his side and more.

But that space in my consciousness is small. A not so high waterfall as the beginning of the area, where the water continually flow in a connecting river with a few mound of large stones by the river bank.

I surveyed the whole area with my wolf in tow, we end up in a boarder of pitched black, even the flowing river is cut by it.

I tried to cross that darkness and at my first step, my leg vanished. It's like a void full of uncertainties. So I withdrew.

I ask Adolphus about it but he doesn't know. So, I let that boarder to remain a mystery.

And on that tragedy five years ago, when I tried to escape that horrifying reality and haunting dreams, I hid in this space of my consciousness most of the time.

There I noticed the area narrowed, the pitched black boarder in my view seemed unnerving as it drew nigh to the falls. The area seemed to compress, not even enough for me to run a good lap with my wolf.

It made me scared of the unknown.

I don't know what would happen if it narrowed more, I think the darkness would eat me. Ever since then, I am wary of that boarder, of that darkness.

And as the days went by, when I seemed to finally picked myself up; where everything I owed to my father, who held me up and kept me sane. When taunting dreams stopped visiting me often — as I was emotionally healing, that boarder of pitched black drew away.

Not until I was sixthteen that I comprehended that darkness.

It's my—

It's my demon—

~ You're staring again~ , Addi said.

I chuckled, "Can't help it."

"You're beautifully handsome," I mocked.

He growled and run off for his run of the day. I just laid on the ground as I wait for him to be back.

[********]

I was mesmerized by Adolphus when we first met in my consciousness. I even thought it was just a dream.

He has fine gray fur, black paws with extended steel gray claws, long snout and forest green eyes.

He smiled, I don't know. I just thought he did showing his long sharp ivory canine.

I was seven back then, something in me drew me nearer to him, so I crouched down with one knee on the ground and pat his head. He leaned in to my touch. Then the unknowable happened, our forehead touched and bright ray of light enveloped us and I felt a surge of strength, of power.

By then, my physical body cried in pain. That was my first shift— at seven; the earliest to happen in history.

It's always been at eighteen for a werewolf to shift but guess I am different.

I could even still remember the look that my father has on that fateful night.

I was in his back before I shifted as he took me with him for a run during that full moon.

Ever since then, my father left everything. That's when him and I started to travel.

I was pulled out from my consciousness when I felt someone getting nearer my physical body.

I left my body laying on the grass under the shade of a tree.

"What's up Sierraleone," I internally groaned as I slurred saying her name.

As I have difficulty saying her name so as reading her personality.

She's unpredictable and — weird.

She's someone who doesn't have a care in the world. Someone who has even her 'own' world.

She's beautiful though, I could see it but—

… but she's a mess. I mean literally.

She seldom comb her hair or was it just her style. But then again, she would walk around with her shirt on its opposite side, or shoes with a different pair or a mess of melted chocolate on her cheek.

Another thing, though she seldom talk but when she does, it would surely hit a nerve or— or make someone in a tight spot.

Her mind is unfiltered— which I like.

'hehe'

Also, she's one of the runts that I'm now friends with.

Unlike other packs I visited, Noble Blood Pack seemed to treat their runts fairly. The pack surely been ruled splendidly by the Alpha and Luna.

It has been a month since my affiliation. I have observed quiet a few things already in the pack and so far, I don't have anything negative to say yet.

"Marc is pissed off, how about calming him down?" She said reluctantly.

I groaned, "Shouldn't you ask his mate instead?" I complained.

She made a long face, "He calms down when you're around."

She sat with me, "How I wish he could find his mate already, so he'll atleast be soft at us."

"Let's just hope he'll meet her when the school day starts," I said.

"Hope so," she pouted.

I laughed, "Let's go."

Too much blah blah sorry— (let me know your thoughts)
