"Oh Amya! I was so worried about you! Thank God you are alright", exclaimed Amber, whilst enveloping Amya in a tight hug. After disengaging herself from Amya she starting thoroughly checking Amya's body for any sign of injury. "Let me look at you my dear. Are you truly alright? Did you get injured anywhere?", asked Amber frantically. "No Mom! I did not get hurt anywhere. I am fine. Don't worry", replied Amya. "Oh thank God! You had me so scared for a second there! But tell me what happened? How did you get involved in an accident", asked Amber.
"Oh Amber please, give the girl a break will you! Instead of asking her all these questions outside can't you not allow her to get inside first and settle in. Can't you feel the freezing temperature outside. The poor girl must be freezing!" An older woman's voice rang through the door scolding Amber. It was then until an older woman who looked to be in her early seventies, with short grey curly hair, brown eyes and a slightly wrinkled face and a medium bell curved body, which indicated that even though she was old now she still did her best to mantain her luscious body curves stepped out from behind Amber, glowering at her with a stern look but then turning to face Amya with a glowing smile.
"Grandma!" Exclaimed Amya excitedly whilst enveloping the older woman in a hug.
"Amya my dear! Oh I am so glad that you are safe and alright!" Said the older woman whilst patting Amya's back. After a while the duo disengaged and the older woman started ushering Amya inside whilst saying, " Come in! Come in! My dear! I am sure you must tired from driving that long and also encountering such an unfortunate incident. Amber dear, why don't you make Amya some hot chocolate to help her calm down and also help with her cold. I am sure being stuck under that snow hill in the car must have been freezing."
Amya firstly took a deep breath and entered into the familiar home. After entering she realized that, the place did not change much, from the sweet scent of mahogany wood which was fitted throughout the house,to the small lovely kitchen and dining room and the big living room furnished with six sofas surrounding the fireplace. The only thing that was new was the big seventy-two inch flat plasma television that was fitted into the wall right above the fireplace. "I can see that nothing has changed much here since I left here", said Amya. "Why yes! I never put it in mind to renovate the place! Eversince you and your mother left to go and live in the city, I didn't want to change the setting much because it always reminded me of you. And besides Jeff would not have been pleased to have his house turned upside down. He would have preferred it to remain the way it is.", said Amya's grandmother gloomingly. The memory of her deceased husband always brought a sad melancholy feeling to her. Even though its already have been twelve years since he passed away, she still missed the old man greatly. After some moments reliving the past she finally said" Well now mostly the way it was, since I had to change a think or two. But why are you still standing there! Go upstairs and freshen up and then come back downstairs to the kitchen to drink that hot chocolate."
"Ok Grandma. I will do that right away", said Amya whilst going upstairs to her room. But before she even took three steps up the stairs, the door bell rang and her grandmother went to answer it. " Timothy!! What a wonderful surprise!" Exclaimed Amya's grandmother whilst facing Timothy on the other side of the door. "Good evening Mrs Cora! It's wonderful to see you again", said Timothy. "It really is indeed! But what brings you here? Come in! Come in! Actually a very special someone has just returned from the city and I am sure that she will be delighted to see you again!," said Amya's grandmother whilst ushering Timothy inside the house.
"Actually we already met grandma. Timothy was the one that came and rescued me from the snow hill that I was buried in." Said Amya whilst climbing down the stairs and heading towards the two. "Oh really!! Thank you so much Timmy! Thank you so much for rescuing my granddaughter! I don't know how to repay you! Why don't you stay and join us for dinner! Amber is preparing some hot chocolate. Why don't you have some first whilst dinner is finished being prepared!" Said Amya's grandmother. Timothy looked at Amya for a couple of moments, trying to read if she was ok with the idea of him staying or not. But after seeing her avoiding his eyes and looking elsewhere, he knew that he was going to make her uncomfortable. After their conversation in the truck, he knew that he had dug up a past that she had buried. A past that he himself has been struggling to move on from. And now that she has returned, things have changed. He now wants to fight for her and gain back her love and to rebuild their relationship and he is determined to do whatever it takes to succeed.
"Its alright Mrs Cora. Maybe another time, right now I just came to give the princess her luggage which she left back at the car." Said Timothy whilst revealing some traveling bags which were behind him. "Oh thank you Timmy! You are such a good man! May God bless you for your wonderful service." Said Amya's grandmother. "Thank you Mrs Cora. I appreciate it", said Timothy. " How is my car?" Asked Amya. "Its ok. Just got a few minor scratches but with a good paint job it will be ok!" Replied Timothy. "Oh thank goodness. Thank you Timothy. I will definitely pay you for your service. Thank you so much", said Amya. " Don't worry about paying me. Just take it as my welcome back gift to you. Well.... I will be going back to my workshop now. Have a good evening Mrs Cora and Amya", said Timothy. "Goodbye Timothy and I hope you will come back one day for that dinner!" Said Amya's grandmother.
"Don't worry I will. Bye now", said Timothy and he left. " Timothy is such a nice young man isn't he? But I don't understand why you were so cold to him just now. Did something happen between the two of you?" Asked Amya's grandmother whilst looking at Amya with a raised brow. "What...No.. nothing happened grandmother. Its just that I am tired and I really need to freshen up. Let me go upstairs and to freshen up and come back. I will unpack later", said Amya whilst holding her travel bags and heading towards the stairs. But before she even went far, the doorbell rang again and this time she went to answer it instead of her grandmother. Her eyes went wide with disbelief after anwering the door and upon seeing who was on the other side.
" Surprise!!".
