Chapter 86: We aren't brothers!

The house was filled with people as everyone came from the Huening family. It was the first time when Kai's original mother came to visit Yeonjun's mom. She was looking very healthy and cheerful. Both of the ladies were talking with each other. Yeonjun's mother was serving the dishes on the table and she was helping her.

"I'm really sorry for all the trouble I gave you earlier. I had no idea I did all of these! I gave you so much trouble! I'm really ashamed of myself. Moreover, I don't remember that much either!" Hueningkai's mom said and sat down on a chair.

"I told you! It was alright for me! Why're you guys think Hueningkai was a problem for me? You might already know how mature he is! He was a very well behaved kid! Moreover, my Yeonjun got a partner to play with so he was really helpful to me." Yeonjun's mom said while putting the curry's bowl in front of the guest.

"I can still be his partner." Hueningkai was sitting in a corner and listening to the elders. He mumbled after she said he was Yeonjun's playing partner.

"Hm? Did you say something?" She asked while putting some meat on Hueningkai's rice.

"No! Why aren't you sitting? Come sit beside me." Hueningkai said and pulled a chair for her.

"Thank you! How thoughtful of you! Then, why didn't you contact me all the time? Do you know how much I missed you? You didn't even come to meet me! You broke your promise! Did I teach you to break promises?" She was getting emotional. Kai was going to put some rice in his mouth. He put down the chopsticks back and looked at her.

"Mom! Uh! Can I even call you mom? I bet! I'm really sorry! I didn't know how I should face you or what I should tell you. I was really mean to you guys. On the top of that, I was so busy that I didn't have time to stop by this house. I missed you too! And this home." Hueningkai held her hands and consoled her.

"Mrs. Choi! I also told him to talk with you, but I didn't know why he didn't." Nabil said.

"I apologize on his behalf. Please forgive him." Hueningkai's mom said.

"Hahaha! I'm not angry! I'm just being sentimental. Nothing else! I mean, yes, I was a bit grumpy, but after seeing him, I can't be mad at him anymore!" She smiled at everyone and then started again,

"You know, since he was a child, he always helped me. He was really a good kid! And he was always so pure minded that he never complained about his life. He's such an angel! How can I be mad at someone like him? That's why it hurts so much when you took him away. I really wish he was a girl so that I could send you guys a marriage proposal for him and bring him back to my home. Hahaha!" She stopped.

"You can still do that, you know?" Hueningkai said, but couldn't look at her.

"Hm?" She couldn't understand what Kai just said.

"I said, you can still do that! I can be your son-in-law." he said and finally looked at him.

"Ei! Don't joke around! You know it very well that I don't have any daughter!" She smiled weirdly and said.

"But you have a son. And if you guys let me, I still wanna be his partner. Not a playmate. But a real partner." Kai said with a low voice and looked around to check everyone's reaction. Except for Yeonjun's mom, everyone's faces had a smiley expression as they all liked the idea.

"How can you say something like this? He's your brother!" She was a bit shocked by hearing that from Hueningkai.

"He's not! Please! When you said if I were a girl, you'd propose to me to marry Yeonjun hyung. Then, why can't you do the same when I'm a boy? You asked me if I were so busy that I didn't get a chance to talk with you? I lied! I was a coward. I was afraid Yeonjun hyung would push me away again like he always did because of his feelings. I was preparing myself for all these years. I took an oath that I won't come back here until I'm capable. Mom! Do you think I'm capable now? You guys took care of me a lot. Now, I wanna take care of you. Would you let me? Please?" Hueningkai leaned on the chair and sat back. After saying all of these, he couldn't meet his eyes with anyone. So, he was staring at the floor without blinking.

"What should I do now? Hueningie really went home! Ah! Mom is calling me there! Should I go or…Argh! I don't know anymore!" Yeonjun was biting his nails out of stress.

"What? Mr. Chairman went to your home! Man! You're f*cked! Leave me alone! Go or die, it's your choice! I don't know anything either!" Yeonjun's manager was so shocked by the news that he couldn't take it anymore. As he didn't know Yeonjun's relationship with Hueningkai, he thought Kai would fire Yeonjun from his company.

Both of them left the room. Yeonjun took his car and started driving to his mom's house. Was his mom okay after seeing Hyuka all these years? Would Hueningkai say anything about the morning? What if he says everything to his mom? Could his mom take it? How should he handle the situation? Yeonjun couldn't think anymore. He kept driving and focused on the road.

After a while, he reached his destination and stopped the car. He saw there were two cars standing outside of the house. They looked very aristocratic as if they were royal cars.

"Whoa! Are they Hueningie's car! He got super rich, didn't he?" Yeonjun wondered. He got out of his car and finally went inside. There was everyone inside. Hueningkai, his mom, dad, his two sisters and Yeonjun's mother who sat beside Kai.

"Hello!" Yeonjun gave his adorable smile and bowed to greet them.

"Hello! Come and have a seat!" Hueningkai's mother called him to her as there was a blank seat beside her.

"Hello, ma'am! How are you?" Yeonjun greeted her again very gently. Seeing his beautiful smile, her heart fully melted and she found him very adorable.

"Was he talking about him just now?" She asked.

As everyone was in the middle of their meal, Yeonjun also took a bowl and filled it with food. He looked around and found the situation was a bit heavy. Nobody was talking much, but they were smiling at him. He felt a bit awkward and couldn't look at anyone anymore.

"Um…where is dad?" Yeonjun asked his mother.

"He'll be here soon." She said in a harsh voice. Yeonjun thought she was a bit emotional because she was seeing Hyuka after a long time.

"Ah! How's everything going, uncle?" Yeonjun asked to Hueningkai's father with a big grin. He was trying to start a conversation to light up the atmosphere.

"It's fine! Like always! Thanks for asking!" He replied with a smile and then he looked at his wife. He told her something with his eyes and it seemed like she got the clue.

"Son! Can you tell us something about Hueningkai? We missed his childhood, you know! And we wanna hear that from you." She smiled and kept staring at him. He was looking very beautiful and she couldn't move her eyes from him.

"Hueningie! How should I say… he was a nice kid! When we were kids, we often played house games and you know, he looked like a girl.. so, I took the husband part and gave the wife part to him in the play. He did it so well that I really thought he was my wife, hihihi! And one thing I liked about him was that he didn't cry even when he got hurt. There's a story of one time, all of the students went camping along with us. The teachers took us to a soop (forest). I was playing with my friends and that time I heard the homeroom teacher of Kai's class shouting. I went to hear what happened and found out that Hueningkai was missing.

Everyone was looking for him, but couldn't find him. After searching for all the morning, we found him. He actually fell from an upland and couldn't climb up. But he wasn't scared at all! He got hurt, but he didn't even shed a drop of tears. There was a doll we used to play with and it was his favorite. When we found him, he was playing with the doll. He was playing as if I was the doll and was saying if the doll blew on his wound, his injury would vanish. Such a cutie he was!" When Yeonjun was telling the story, everyone was looking at him and listening to him. He kept telling different kinds of memories he remembered. He looked really happy reminiscing about the moments he spent with Kai.

"You had such strong bonds!" Hueningkai's mother said while looking at Yeonjun.

"Actually, we grew apart as we got older." Yeonjun said and took a glance at Hueningkai. He was eating slowly and had a glimpse of a smile at the edge of his lips.

"Why? Didn't you like him anymore?" she asked, trying to hide her smile.

"No! That's not it! How can someone not like him? That's because I liked him even more that…" Yeonjun looked at Hyuka and stopped. The smile on his face vanished as he was feeling guilty for having those feelings for him.
