Chapter 79: The condolences

Soobin felt something just tickled under his feet. He wasn't ticklish so he could just let it slide. He couldn't understand at first that someone came inside and did it to him. But when Beomgyu sat down, he could feel someone was right beside him. Moreover, he was thinking about Beomgyu, closing his eyes and missing him very much. He remembered how Beomgyu was screaming, crying and begging for Soobin's life. Maybe that's why he was sure it was Beomgyu who sat beside him. He felt a little happy as he was missing Beomgyu and really wanted to see him. He wanted to open his eyes and make Beomgyu frightened.

When he noticed Beomgyu holding his hand, he couldn't open and scare the boy away. He liked the touch and was curious what Beomgyu was going to do next. He wasn't mad at him anymore after knowing Beomgyu stayed beside him 24/7. Soobin really wanted to see his face, but he was afraid Beomgyu would leave if he did that. So, he stayed still to figure out what the cute boy was going to do.

After hearing everything from Beomgyu, he felt relieved. He thought Beomgyu loved that girl, but after what he just heard, he was relieved and felt very happy. He was trying his best not to smile. It was him who was having butterflies in his stomach at that moment. He wanted to grab Beomgyu's hand tightly, but he suppressed himself. It was a feeling he never felt. He thought it was worth getting beaten to death. If Jackson didn't trick the both of them, Beomgyu might never tell these things to Soobin and he'd always stay in the dark. As he thought Karina was the one Beomgyu liked, Soobin would also restrain from confessing. All in one, nobody would be aware of each other's feelings and end up getting hurt.

When Soobin was giggling in his mind, he noticed something was going to touch his face. As Beomgyu freed Soobin's hand, he thought Beomgyu would touch his face with his hand. But there was something silky which touched his nose and it made him ticklish. So, he opened his eyes as he couldn't restrain himself anymore and found that Beomgyu's face was too close to his. His heart started beating very fast and he was baffled. He was sure Beomgyu would try to escape now that he opened his eyes. So, he grabbed his hand firmly and shouted excitingly,

"Gotcha!" He thought Beomgyu would be embarrassed, but didn't think he'd be shocked instead. Beomgyu gasped loudly and pushed Soobin away. Soobin noticed Beomgyu was breathing heavily as he was shocked. He gulped when he stood up. Soobin sat down, but before he could say something, Beomgyu ran away from there.

"W-wait!" Even though Beomgyu heard Soobin, he didn't stop.

"Ah! I should've let him kiss before opening my eyes!" Soobin covered his face with his hands and mumbled.

"Beomgyu-ah! Where have you been these days? You didn't come home either!" Yeonjun was scrolling his phone in the living room when Beomgyu entered.

"Hi. Are you doing well?" Beomgyu tried to hide his emotions while smiling, but it was clear that he was going through a hard time.

"Hey! What happened?" Yeonjun stood up and went towards Beomgyu as he noticed Beomgyu was looking pale.

"Nothing!" Beomgyu tried to act cheerful though he failed.

"Ei! Something must've happened. Don't say I'm wrong!" Yeonjun glared at Beomgyu and put his hand on Beomgyu's shoulder.

"You're right! I can't do anything right! I just fuck everything up!" Beomgyu sighed and leaned his head on Yeonjun's chest.

"Hey! Tell me what happened? I'm all ears, you know?" Yeonjun was curious. After sitting on the couch, Beomgyu told him everything. He had a saddened face all the time and his voice was quite low. After hearing everything, Yeonjun sighed and looked at Beomgyu's gloomy face.

"You really shouldn't have done it. Man! Why did you go to a goon for help? Aish! You could've come to me instead! Woah! That just hurty pride! Aren't you crazy? Really!" Yeonjun leaned on the couch and was acting mad. He had his angry smirk on his face which was showing his anger clearly.

"I know. And I'm regretting it already. Don't rub salt on my wound." if it was Beomgyu's previous self, he'd definitely shout at Yeonjun, but this time, he couldn't, as he didn't feel like it.

"It's okay! You already confessed, didn't you?" Yeonjun asked assuredly.

"I….don't know how much he heard." Beomgyu sighed again. His eyes were becoming teary again.

"If he heard even a bit, I'm sure he'll understand. And if he didn't hear, you should tell him once again. Don't just sit back and avoid it. You should face it. Or else, how'd he understand what you feel about him? So, I suppose, you should go back to him and tell him everything face to face. I know, it'll be alright. I assure you!" Yeonjun patted Beomgyu's thigh slowly to comfort him.

"Ghosh! I always wanted to live alone! But now that you guys are not around, I feel so alone!" Yeonjun leaned on the couch again and said sadly.

"What do you mean by you guys? Where's Huening?" Beomgyu sat back and asked surprisingly.

"Umm….he left. He just left. He won't come back. He won't." Yeonjun was mumbling.

"Hyung! You scold him again, right?" Beomgyu was astounded, but he couldn't bring himself not to ask about it.

"No! I mean…yeah! I think it's because of me." Yeonjun said with his tearful eyes.

"What happened?" Beomgyu asked curiously. Yeonjun told him everything and started crying. He was definitely feeling happy when he found out Kai wasn't his brother. After Hyuka left, he was trying his best to forget about him and control himself. But, when he was sharing everything with Beomgyu, he couldn't hold back his tears anymore. Beomgyu was feeling sorry for him. So, he hugged him and consoled him. He wanted to say some nice words, but nothing came from his mouth.

Beomgyu listened to Yeonjun and came to the hospital once again. He was awake for the whole night even though he was exhausted. He couldn't stop thinking about how he should confront Soobin. Although he came up with various solutions, he wasn't brave enough to go and meet Soobin. Though Soobin was awake and he was alone inside the room, Beomgyu couldn't go inside. He was feeling so nervous that he felt his heart was gonna explode if this kept going on. He was going back and forth as he couldn't enter inside. In the end, he gave up on the idea and sat on the bench outside. He made a fist with his one hand and started rubbing it with another. At that time, Soobin's dad came to the hospital and noticed Beomgyu.

"What are you doing here?" he asked arrogantly.

"Hello!" Beomgyu stood up as soon as he could and bowed to show his respect.

"Why are you sitting outside?" Cha Won was trying to act harsh, but he couldn't, after seeing how cute the boy was looking.

"Um…ooo….I…" Beomgyu was unable to answer since there was nothing to reply to him.

"Come with me if you're afraid. Don't worry, he won't eat you alive!" Cha Won smiled since he understood Beomgyu couldn't get inside because of his guiltiness towards Soobin.

"Umm…Mr. Won! You go first! I'll…go… later." Beomgyu was a bit loud at first, but his voice reduced in the end.

"Tsk! How troublesome!" Cha Won sighed and then held Beomgyu's hand. After that, he pulled him inside Soobin's room.
