Chapter 50: Never ending escape

[Note: In this chapter, the past of Beomgyu is described where he was still a girl. So, I'll describe him as "she"]

"Then, what about you?" Beomgyu asked Soobin before he jumped outside.

"Don't worry about me. I'm the leader's son. So, they won't do anything to me. But you need to escape from here. Go! And no matter what happens, don't look back. Keep running, okay?" Soobin said while helping Beomgyu to jump from the window. The door had been broken by the goons and they were coming to catch them. But before they caught them, Winter(Beomgyu) jumped from the higher place and fell on the ground. She got hurt on her legs so she couldn't run that fast. Moreover, she was weaker than those guys who were chasing him.

At that time, Soobin kept the other guys busy as he thought he helped the girl escape. But he had no idea that there were more dangers waiting for Beomgyu.

"Hey! Just let her go! Will you? I had enough fun with her and now I'm willing to let her go." Soobin smiled cutely at the guys that melted their hearts.

"B-but! The boss will punish us if he knows about it." One of the men said with a scared face.

"Hey, come on! How would he know if you guys won't tell him? Let's just forget something happened here. If he asks, then tell him that I killed her, okay?" Soobin went to the main guard and put his hand on his shoulder as if they were childhood friends.

"Okay, then if he finds out, you will have to take the responsibility." the guard said in a rude voice.

"Yes! I will, so don't worry." Soobin smiled while hugging the guard and patted his shoulder. Then he went outside of the room to meet his dad.

In the meantime, Beomgyu stood up and tried to run fast. Though she managed to run, she was too slow because of her injury. She thought she would be safe if she managed to hide somewhere. But she was wrong. There were many wolves eyeing her from the beginning. She hid herself inside a bush nearby and tried to rest as she was too tired and hungry. She was trying to think of a way to get out but she felt too lazy as her whole body was hurting. She leaned on a tree to get some rest for a while and closed her eyes. But unfortunately, she fell asleep and when she woke up, she felt someone was behind her. It was a very small bush so she thought she was imagining things. But she looked behind to be sure if there was really someone or not. And she found that her surmise was right. There was really someone standing behind her. Though she noticed, it was too late to understand what was going on. Before she could make any move, the guy held her mouth so that she couldn't make any sound. She tried her best to break free from the person's grip, but she couldn't. She tried to scream and hit the guy but she was so helpless that she couldn't break free.

At that time, she felt something was pinned inside her neck. Within a few seconds, she stopped her movement as she felt nauseous and passed out.

Beomgyu opened her eyes and found herself inside a dark but cold place. She wasn't able to see what the place was and if she could get outside of there. When she tried to get up, she realized her hands were tied with a buckle. As it wasn't tight enough, she untied the buckle and stood up. But her legs were also tied and unfortunately, it was an iron chain that time. She was afraid and tried to break the chain. But she was so drained that she couldn't force herself to do anything either. So, she leaned on something like a dead body. She thought about her past, present and future.

What if her mom wouldn't flee with another person? Wouldn't her dad be a nice person like before? Wouldn't her life be at ease if that happened? Maybe she'd woken up late and she ran out of time so there's no time to have breakfast. Wouldn't her mom nag at her and complain about it to her dad when she rushed outside for school? And in the evening, wouldn't her dad come back late and her mom would suspect him if he went somewhere without telling her mom? What if Beomgyu ever found out that her dad went to accompany his friends without telling her mom and she started to blackmail her dad when she found out? Wouldn't her dad pay her to zip her mouth off? Maybe she could get something very costly by blackmailing him. Maybe both of them would scold her if she got low marks on exams. How scary that would be! But the situation won't be as scary as it is now.

And what if she didn't go home that day and didn't face her dad? Before going home, if she knew that her dad already sold her off, she wouldn't go home and maybe she wouldn't have to face something like this. She also thought llll about her dad. What was her father doing at that moment? Was he regretting his actions? Was he crying for losing his one and only family? Or, was he happy because he got loads of money? She couldn't think about him at all. Her mind was messed up and she just hoped she could die as soon as possible. At least, it won't make her feel that afraid, that miserable, that empty.

And if she manages to escape from here, where'd she go now? She doesn't wanna step on her home again. Her dad cut the relationship with her so how can she go back there? Won't he sell her off again? She realized that her throat started hurting since she wanted to hold back her tears for a long time. The water leaked from her eyes and got her cheeks wet.

At the time, she noticed a thin light coming to the room which was getting thicker and thicker. At last a man came inside the room with a plate full of food and turned on the light. Beomgyu's eyes started hurting from the light as she was under darkness for a long time.

"Oh! You're awake! Then have something first." The guy came to her and put the plate in front of her. Then he tried to touch her face while giving her a very big but ugly and scary smile. But Beomgyu moved her face and tried to block his hand with her fist.

"Come on, baby! Eat first so that you gain some energy. Or else, how can we enjoy the night, hm? We have a long night to spend, right?" The guy held her weak fist and tried to approach her with his shitty smile. Beomgyu was trying her best to exceed herself but she couldn't and started crying heavily, thinking there's no way to escape from the place. She was praying to God silently to send some help to her. But it seems like the heavy sound of rainstorms blocked her words to reach them to God.

The man insisted on feeding her for some times but when he noticed, she wasn't listening to him at all, he stood up angrily and beat her up and then left. After getting beaten, there was no strength left in her body to move at all. She lied on the cold floor like a dead body.

After the day, the guy came again to her and sprayed water on her face to wake her up. When she opened her eyes, she saw the guy who came with food and bottles of beer again. He kept them aside and asked if she wanted to eat them or not. Beomgyu was too hungry to refuse the food. The man loosened her hands a bit and gave him a bun to eat. She snatched and started gobbling. Seeing her eating like that, the guy smiled as if he was feeding his own duck which would be his feast after a while.
