Chapter 38: Escape room

Why is he kissing my hand? Is he trying to express that he's happy by seeing me? But as far as I remember, he wasn't this clingy, was he? So, what happened suddenly that made him like this? Beomgyu was thinking why Soobin was holding and kissing his hand. He wanted to recall what happened before he passed out but suddenly he couldn't remember that much. He remembered that he was arguing with a guy then they had a fight and suddenly he had been attacked from behind. But what happened after that? He wanted to know.

"Who was the guy?" Beomgyu asked with his low voice.

"Some money lenders." Soobin smiled and replied as if he was expecting the question.

"What? Then Taehyun was right about you?" Beomgyu suddenly became loud and tried to sit down.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! You're not allowed to sit! Just lie down and don't think about anything. Understand?" Soobin made him lie as soon as possible.

"By the way, do you remember what happened before you passed out?" Soobin was referring to the kiss and he was hoping that Beomgyu remembered.

"Hmm. That bad guy was chasing you...then I....that.....that coward attacked me from behind and then I fell on the ground and from there, I can't remember anything." Beomgyu replied.

"Ah! You don't remember even a thing after that?" Soobin asked and looked at him with so much hope. But disappointing him, Beomgyu replied he doesn't remember anything after that.

"Why? Something happened?" Beomgyu asked with curiosity. No, nothing happened.

"Rest assured. I'm going to call the doctor." Soobin smiled forcefully and stood up. But Beomgyu could feel that Soobin was disappointed over something but he just couldn't ask him since he guessed that Soobin was having a very hard time dealing with the loan sharks. So, he dared not remind him about his worries.

Suddenly, his head started hurting and he saw a glimpse of his past memory. He was inside a room. Though the room wasn't that dark, there wasn't any other way to get outside. It seemed like she was sitting in a corner of the room. That time the two of them met when Soobin was forced to come inside the room. He was wearing black shirt and pants. He was looking very cool but arrogant too. Beomgyu looked up to see who his new partner was. But seeing him, Beomgyu panicked thinking he was gonna do the same to him. He shrunk himself and put his head down while trembling.

"Hey!" Soobin called. But Beomgyu was trembling more than before and he was scared to look at him.

"Hey, girl! Are you deaf?" Soobin asked arrogantly. Beomgyu looked up and noticed the cute but arrogant face.

"Yes, I'm talking to you! Let's help each other to get out of this place. Both of us are gonna be free. What do you say?" He asked. But Beomgyu couldn't trust any of them since he knew it wasn't a good place. It's the place where everyone tries to deceive others and they just will give a lot just to quench their s*xual thirst.

"P-Please f-forgive m-me! P-Please L-Let m-me g-go." Beomgyu tried to cover his head with his arms while trembling out of fear.

"Girl! Don't get me wrong. I'm willing to help you for sure if you help me to get out of here." Soobin was gentler than before. Hearing his soft voice, Beomgyu thought he could give it a try.

"B-but W-Why are you here? Aren't you the boss's son?" he asked Soobin with his trembling but soft voice. In reply, Soobin just sighed and looked away. Seems like he wasn't willing to give an answer.

"You saw the ventilator? I'm gonna break it and throw you up there. You must hold that rod and go outside, am I clear?" Soobin said, pointing to the ventilator of the room. It was so high that nobody could reach there without any stairs. H-How? A-Aren't t-the rods made of irons? H-How can Y-You break it? T-there's no tools here and i-it's i-impossible to reach t-that h-high." Beomgyu was still faltering since he was afraid of the other party and was too weak.

"This is why I need your help." Soobin smiled gently and the gentle smile touched Beomgyu's heart just for a moment because he could never imagine the tough and arrogant boy could look that sweet and kind too.

"What C-Can I-I do?" he asked.

"Nothing much. It's just that they'll come here within a short time with food. I'll distract them and you need to sneak out of the room. Don't worry, there'll be no guard outside as they'll go for dinner too. When you go outside, you'll see the long passage. Take the right path and you'll see two chairs kept for guards. You need to pick one of them and come back. Don't trick me and try to flee by yourself. You can't go out from here without me. So you need to rely on me. Got it?" Soobin made a perfect plan to go out.

"Understood." Beomgyu replied.

After some time, when two guys came with a big trolley full of food they started to proceed with their plan. Soobin was acting very pitifully and shedding crocodile tears. None of them could restrain themselves from consoling his cute but pitiful poor and innocent face. Soobin was sitting leaning on the wall while acting and the two of them were too busy consoling him that they really didn't notice the girl who sneaked out and came back with two heavy things by herself.

"W-Why he did that? Why can't he just accept me for who I am?" Soobin was sobbing and noticing if the other party came or not.

"We know, young master! But we don't have the power to do anything. He'll kill us if we don't listen to him. He ordered us to lock you with that girl. He thought you'll be attached to the girl and have some fun with her. But we know how you feel about that person... just endure it for this night. We'll surely try to talk with our boss tomorrow." the two guys also nearly teared up while consoling and didn't notice the girl came back with two chairs at one time. Soobin was quite surprised since he never thought this tiny body could bear the heavy things at a time. The two of them stood up and left the place without looking at the other person who was trying her best to hide the chairs but failed because she had a very thin body.

"Aren't they heavy? How could you bring these together?" Soobin was very surprised but happy too since the girl made his work easy. Beomgyu looked at the foods which made his stomach growl. So he approached the food since they were looking very tasty.

"Don't touch them! I have a feeling that they mixed something with the food." Soobin warned her and started working. He slowly opened all the sticks of the ventilator and made it a blank place. After that he nearly sent Beomgyu outside but that time the guards came to check what was happening inside since they made noise and it made them curious.

"Jump! Just go! Run from here! You'll be free! I assured you!" Soobin shouted.

"B-but you?" Beomgyu asked.

"I'll be okay. He won't do anything to me since I'm his son. So don't worry about me and go!" Soobin jumped from the chairs inside while Beomgyu jumped outside.
