Chapter 35: I'm not that softie anymore

Soobin was hiding inside a building and when he thought the guy had already left, he came outside. He looked around to be sure if the guy really left or not. But astonishing him, the guy was standing in the middle of the street and it seemed like he had just knocked out a person who was lying on the road. Soobin was standing behind the guy and he wanted to hide again since the other party didn't notice Soobin. But he felt curious and looked at the boy because the boy seemed familiar to him. But Soobin couldn't recognize him as he could only look at the boy's back. But the black and mullet hair reminds him of Beomgyu.

"It can't be, right! It must be someone else but why did he hit him? His target is me, right?" He mumbled. Soobin was still covered in black and took a good look at the boy. He took off his mask when he got a huge shock when he found out that the boy was none other than Beomgyu.

He was so stunned that he forgot he tried to hide from the big man. He was standing on the ground like a statue and kept looking at Beomgyu for a moment.

That time, the guy felt someone was watching him from his back. So he looked back and found Soobin. But he couldn't guess that he would be the one who had been attacked. Soobin nearly jumped on him and made him fall on the ground. He knelt on the big guy's belly and choked his neck with both hands.

"WHAT.DID.YOU.DO.TO.HIM?" Soobin showed his furious look to the guy.

"H-He w-was t-the o-one w-who s-s-started i-it!" The guy was nearly choked to death by Soobin when he opened his mouth.

"S-Soobin!" Beomgyu's groaning sound made Soobin loosened his grip but he didn't let go of the guy. He hit the guy's head hard. And getting hit, the guy lost his consciousness and stayed on the ground like a dead body.

Soobin went to Beomgyu as soon as he could and sat beside him. He took the boy's head on his lap and noticed the back of his head got bloody.

"B-Beomgyu-ah!" Soobin faltered while patting his face very slowly. Beomgyu's eyes were half closed but he felt that it was Soobin who held his head.

"I-I k-knocked him o-out! D-don't w-worry, I-I'll protect y-you from n-now on!" Beomgyu was groaning out of pain.

"Yes, yes! Please protect me! Please stay beside me! I-I'm gonna save you so that you can protect me." Soobin cried out. Beomgyu was going to close his eyes but he was fighting with himself not to faint at that moment. He was still in his subconscious mind so he wasn't aware of what he was talking about or what he was doing.

"C-Can Y-You come closer?" Beomgyu asked with his low voice.

"Yes?" Soobin thought Beomgyu was going to say something so he went closer to his mouth. But before he let his ears appear in front of the boy's lips, surprising him, Beomgyu held his head and pulled his face near him. The two lips were blocked by each other which made Soobin's heart flutter. But right after that, he noticed that the boy wasn't moving at all as he fainted.

***************************************** "I know who sent you. I tried my best to avoid you but now you've crossed the limit. I can't be patient anymore." Soobin was in a dark place where he tied up the guy with a chair and he was standing near him. His mouth was also tied so he couldn't even speak to clarify himself. Soobin took off the cloth and let the man speak as he wasn't so cruel.

"Young master! Please spare me! Your father would kill me if I didn't follow his instructions." the guy begged for his life.

"But I'd make his work easy, by killing you with my own hand!" Soobin smirked. He was so angry that he wanted to kill the man right then.

"Please spare me! I-I have a little daughter. I did it because your dad said he'd pay for her tution." the guy cried out.

"He is.not.my FATHER!" Soobin shouted and almost went to hit the man. But then he thought if he acted so cruel, how come he's different from his bloodthirsty father? The guy kept shaking his head negatively as he didn't want to get hit. And he felt relieved when Soobin stopped punching him. He was breathing heavily out of anger.

"Why? What does that f*cker want from me now?" Soobin asked the guy and tried to calm down. The middle aged man was so surprised when he heard Soobin cursing his own father.

"So, that's how our children value us! We pour every drop of life to raise them but look how gruesome the boy is who cursed his own father like that!" the guy was thinking in his mind but suddenly his daughter's face floated out in front of his eyes.

No! His daughter is different. She'd never be this despicable! He thought again.

"Why don't you answer? Is it that hard?" Soobin came closer and asked. The guy came to his senses and he replied why the boy's father sent him here. He must find a way to go back. He must report everything to his boss. Or else maybe he'd kill his daughter who is valuable more than anything in the world to him.

"H-He told me to keep an eye on you. And if.....if possible, then persuade you to meet your dad." He replied with everything he could explain but he couldn't tell the details of how his father was searching for him and how he put his heart and soul to find a way to contact him.

"Why? WHY? WHY HE NEEDS ME NOW? Why is he doing this? Can't he just let me live in peace? He didn't even let me die! He snatched everything, everything from me! From my childhood, he snatched my favorite toys and destroyed them. I didn't say a word. He didn't let me cry for my favorite things! He snatched my mom from me too! He killed her! I didn't say anything! I couldn't! Then he killed my Jin hyung! He hides his body. I can't find it anywhere! How can I endure all the pain? How can I bear more? I tried to finish my life but he didn't even let me! What more does he want from me? What more? I just want an ordinary life. I just wanted to be happy. Why can't he let me?" Soobin knelt before the guy and bowed his head as he was crying badly.

When he described everything above his father, why he despised him this much, the guy understood the boy's pain. But suddenly he wanted to adore him and console him.

After a few moments, Soobin untied the guy and let him go. But before he left, Soobin made him stop as he shouted,

"Go and tell the jerk that his son died. Don't come to search for me again! I won't sit behind if he does something despicable this time! I'll kill him with my own hand if he does something. So let me live peacefully before I become the monster he wants to create. I'm not that softie anymore who'd only listen to him."
