Chapter 30: He's not a slave

After some time staring at the texts which Soobin sent, Beomgyu was going to put his phone down. He was so happy that it couldn't be described in words. But right after he stood up and was about to go to the washroom, he heard another beeping sound coming from his phone. Beomgyu rushed to his phone thinking that it was Soobin. But disappointing him, the phone showed that he got a text from Jackson.

"ANOTHER MISSION FOR TODAY. COME TO MY PLACE FIRST"

Beomgyu sighed as he was planning to spend the day with Soobin but it seemed like he had to change his plan. Hyung! I can't come today.

"I'm sorry. I got something urgent." Beomgyu left a voicemail for Namjoon and went to the washroom.

[At Namjoon's place]

Namjoon was reading a book this early morning. Yoongi just woke up and went to the washroom so he was alone inside the room. His legs and biceps were very strong as he was wearing a sleeveless top and shorts. It was looking like he was gonna attack someone though he was just sitting on his comfort chair while holding a book in his hand. Suddenly his phone buzzed and he took a look at his phone. He got Beomgyu's voice message and he understood what important business Beomgyu got. He furrowed his eyes while listening to the voicemail and became angry.

He called Jackson right then and the other person picked up the call.

"You know very well that he has therapy today." Namjoon asked angrily.

"So?" Jackson replied from the other side.

"What? Don't you feel wrong for him? What did you do to him? Did you forget everything? Why are you giving him those tasks again and again? You better stop before I take any steps against you. Let me remind you, he's not your slave by the way if you forgot." Namjoon was furious.

"Whoah! Look who's talking! I never did anything to him! It was you guys! Hahaha....not me. So stop pretending as if you care. If you cared so much then why did you take my money?" Jackson laughed as if Namjoon was telling some jokes. In reply Namjoon sighed and put his hand on his forehead as he was going out of his patience.

"Listen! No matter what happened before, it was all past. And yes, he was the subject of our experiment but he's not anymore. Now I care for him and you should too....." He was going to say more but before he finished, Jackson opened his mouth again.

"Oh! You care about him? Suddenly, why? Don't tell me you want to be his sugar daddy! You already have a wife!" Jackson mocked Namjoon.

"Don't test me now! Other lives may be meaningless for you but not for me. I can't watch other people suffer. And I'm telling you, if he doesn't take his therapy on time, his situation will get worse. I hope you would reconsider your mission or smuggling whatever you called. I won't take more than an hour anyway" Namjoon was angry but he didn't want to yell at the mafia.

"Okay okay, I got it. Take your time but send him to me right after you have done. A deal is a deal after all. Make proper use of my money!" Saying this Jackson hung up the call and then called Beomgyu. Beomgyu was in the washroom so he couldn't pick it up. When he came outside while drying his hair with a towel, he took his phone and looked at it again hoping that Soobin sent him something but instead of Soobin, it was Jackson again. Beomgyu pouted but called back.

"I heard you started going to a psychiatrist? Are you okay? You can tell me if you need something! If you feel discombobulated, tell me and I'll do anything to make you feel better." Jackson sounds so worried about Beomgyu.

"H-How d-did you know?" Beomgyu was surprised because he never told Jackson about his situation.

"It's okay, Beomgyu-ah! You can take your time. And I know you have to go today as well. Come to my house after you finish. Don't rush it. It'll be fine with me." Though Jackson was harsh with Namjoon, he was soft for Beomgyu. Because he also cared for him. Beomgyu was that lovely and fluffy kind of person who makes everyone adore him. They finished talking and Beomgyu felt happy again but also excited too. They didn't have their afternoon classes so maybe he can hang out with Soobin.

"Oh, no! I should spend time with Yeonjun! He's in the worst condition!" Beomgyu spoke in his mind thinking about what Yeonjun told him earlier.

After their class ended, Soobin went to do his job but Beomgyu went to the other class to find Yeonjun.

"Yeonjun hyung!" Beomgyu waved his hand to be noticed while whispering loudly. Yeonjun saw him and waved his hand telling him to enter. Beomgyu went to him and saw that their teacher also just left the class.

"Do you have any plans for this afternoon?" Beomgyu asked.

"Oh! We have!" Before Yeonjun replied, another boy replied to him from behind. Beomgyu looked at him. He was handsome enough. He also had black hair but there was golden colored hair in his backside. He was looking cool enough but his smile made him cute since he was showing all of his teeth. Beomgyu was glaring at him so he had to come forward to greet.

"Hi! I'm Wooyoung. Yeonjun's friend."

"Ah! Hello! I'm Beomgyu!" Beomgyu bowed and took Wooyoung's hand to shake.

"You're pretty, Just my type." He winked at Beomgyu, making him feel shy and shocked.

"Hey! Why are you flirting right after you met him?" Yeonjun shouted angrily. "Hahaha! Just kidding. But kiddo, we have plans for today and I can't let you borrow him." he went to Yeonjun and cupped his neck with his arm.

"Ah! Okay, I just thought you needed someone so....." Beomgyu said with a very low voice so that Wooyoung couldn't hear anything but he heard everything.

"No worries! I've got him! He shared everything with me so, you can count on me!" Wooyoung winked at Beomgyu again.

"Okay, Then enjoy yourselves! I need to go now." Beomgyu smiled and left the room. Seeing Yeonjun doing well, Beomgyu felt relieved. Now he can go and enjoy his time. He went to Soobin's store to help him out since he couldn't help him as he promised earlier.

"Wel..." Soobin couldn't welcome his customer as he was surprised by seeing Beomgyu at this hour.

"Why are you here at this hour?" Soobin asked. There were some customers who were buying things from there.

"Why? Can't I come? Move! I want to help you." Beomgyu stood beside Soobin and took the scanner from his hand as if he was the professional there. Soobin looked at him and was surprised again. This boy surely surprised him a lot.

"Why are you gawking at me? Go and serve those customers!" Beomgyu said without looking at Soobin and concentrated on his job. Soobin pouted as he was confused by Beomgyu's action and went to other customers who needed his help. But Soobin kept looking at Beomgyu and saw he was doing his job perfectly.

At that time a customer came inside wearing black coat and pants. He had a big body and a very scary face.

"Can you show me where the cold drinks are?" He asked Beomgyu. Soobin just helped a customer find something but when he heard the voice, he got terrified. He came to check if he was assuming right. When he found out that he was right about that voice and that guy, he was astonished. He gulped out of fear and tried to hide himself from that guy.
