Chapter 19: Weird requests

"Can you leave without me? Something urgent came up so I gotta go." Soobin said to Beomgyu after coming from Namjoon's chamber.

"Hm? Okay!" Beomgyu was confused at first but he understands Soobin was in a hurry.

"I need to use the washroom first." Soobin smiled weirdly and said as he was going in another direction.

"Ah! Okay!" Saying this, Beomgyu left. Soobin went to the other side but he kept looking back to see if Beomgyu left or not. Beomgyu also looked back once and saw Soobin was looking at him. So he waved his hand to say bye to Soobin. Soobin smiled and waved his hand too.

When Beomgyu fully vanished from Soobin's eyesight, he sighed and came back to the place where he was standing (Outside of Namjoon's chamber). Should he go inside? Or shouldn't he ask for help from Namjoon? He was thinking it all over when he came with Beomgyu. Is it even possible? He doesn't know but with a bunch of hopeness, he wanted to go inside. But he doesn't know Namjoon so how can he trust him? Maybe because he was a psychiatrist? If he can help someone to regain their memory, then can't he make someone forget about their memories? He heard that it could be possible. And that's why he got some hopes and wanted to forget them because it's too much for him nowadays.

So, without thinking anything, he started to go inside again since there were no other patients waiting outside.

".....just don't cancel the deal. He's my subject of experiment at all." Soobin heard Namjoon talking with someone over the phone but he couldn't get what he was saying or with whom he was talking. But his voice seems suspicious to him. He already had a lot to think about so he couldn't think of anything else and just went inside and stood in front of Namjoon.

Seeing him, Namjoon put down his phone as soon as he could and put on a big but weird smile as if he was hiding something.

"Ah! You're still here! Do you need anything else from me?" Namjoon asked while he was feeling guilty as he thought Soobin got him but it wasn't like that.

"C-Can I-I call you Hyung too?" Soobin asked, faltering.

"Eh?" Namjoon was surprised as he didn't expect something like that.

"W-What?" he thought he got Soobin wrong so he asked.

"Then, it's a no?" Soobin asked, disappointed.

"No! What I mean was.....Did you just ask me to call me hyung?" Namjoon smiled brightly and asked.

"Hm." Soobin replied shortly by nodding and blushed.

"Of course you can! You are Beomgyu's friend after all!" Namjoon laughed gently and said, He was standing on the other side of the table but he came to Soobin to be sure if Soobin heard something or not.

"Then, can I ask something?" Soobin asked while looking at the floor.

"Oh! Sure!" Namjoon sighed with a smile and looked at Soobin.

"Can you really help Beomgyu to regain his memory? Don't take me wrong. I-I w-was just curious if you really can do so....." Soobin couldn't say more as he was short of words.

"Hahaha! Then you're also suspecting me, right? Why are you guys like this? You are willing to take help but you also suspect me, what do you guys truly want?" Namjoon held his glass and fixed it though it wasn't unfixed. He put a smile forcefully and looked at Soobin.

"N-No! I-I didn't mean that...What I meant was....." Soobin stopped for a moment to think about it again.

"Hm?" Namjoon came closer to Soobin and asked, giving him a cold glaze.

"T-That... C-Can...you help me too?" Soobin requested after hesitation for a while.

"Eh?" Namjoon was surprised as he didn't expect something like this. He thought Soobin came to make sure if he can help his dear friend for sure or not but he didn't expect he'd come for himself.

"Did you also forget about something and want to remember?" Namjoon asked.

"No, I want to forget." Soobin replied shortly.

"W-WHAT?" Namjoon was more surprised than before.

"Y-Yes, you heard it right. So...can you help me forget about my past?" Soobin asked and looked at Namjoon with his pitiful eyes. Namjoon started thinking and scratching his forehead, giving him a smile out of pity and guiltiness.

Soobin came out and stood for a while. He started searching for that girl who told him that she can see ghosts or spirits. He was searching for her because he really believed her. But for some reason, he didn't get afraid of the ghost beside him. He wanted to meet him instead of getting scared. He looked for the mom and daughter but they were nowhere. Soobin sighed and sat on the bench outside of the chamber. He leaned on the wall and closed his eyes. The fresh air of the hospital also seemed very heavy for him. The light ground was like a graveyard for him that will take him down from where he can never return. What if it was like that? Can he really go to the graveyard? Won't it be nice? One burden would be removed from the earth? He thought. But he couldn't think more because of the little girl who just came out from another chamber. It was the girl Soobin was looking for. And hearing her voice, Soobin opened his eyes and looked at the girl.

Actually, she didn't come to Namjoon. She came to someone else to get her treatment. Her mom was still talking with the doctor inside but she came outside as she was bored.

"Hey! Hey! Kid!" Soobin whispered and called her, waving his hand.

"Oh! Ghost's friend Ajussi!" the girl said and came to Soobin as she recognized him. Though Soobin called her, he couldn't say anything at first as he didn't have enough courage.

"Girl! Can you say that Ajussi is still around or not?" Soobin asked after a while.

"No, he's not here." the girl replied, shaking her head negatively.

"Ah!" Instead of being happy, Soobin became disappointed hearing the answer.

"You are quite brave! You aren't scared at all seeing the ghosts! I wonder what I would do if I was in place of you! Maybe I would just faint." saying this Soobin acted as if he was really afraid of the ghosts.

"No, I'm also scared of some of them. Because some of them are really scary. And scary ones are the evil ones! They try to harm me and scare me whenever I'm alone. But that uncle seems very nice. I wanna play with him." the little girl said as if she was sharing everything with Soobin.

"Really? Ah! Then it must be scary to deal with them alone, right?" Soobin asked with an adorable voice.

The kid didn't give any answers to Soobin and looked at the floor.

"Then, can you play with this hyung often? So that we three(referring to the nice ghost from earlier)can play together?" Soobin smiled.

"Really? Can we?" the girl became happy.

"Hm. So, can you please tell him to be friends with me again? So that we can enjoy and play a lot?" Soobin requested.

"Okay, I'll tell him if I saw him." the girl smiled.

"Hey! Come here! We need to go home!" The mom of the kid came and called her daughter.

"Oh, Hello!" Soobin stood up and greeted again.

"Ah! It's you! Hello!" The lady also greeted and took her daughter's hand.

"Then, I'll excuse myself." the lady said.

"Ah! Okay!" Soobin bowed gently.

"That hyung is going to play with me. We three will play together." The girl was walking while dancing out of joy and telling her mom that Soobin was going to play with her.

"Really! Did you invite him?" her mom asked. Both of their voices started fading away as they were leaving Soobin behind. Soobin stopped for a while again and sat down. What was he doing? Did he really lose his mind? He's going to be crazy if things go like this. Soobin tried to stop thinking about everything but he just couldn't.
